Description
まず、炭酸リチウム(Li2 CO3 )と炭酸コバルト(CoCO3 )とを、Li2 CO3 :CoCO3 =0.5:1(モル比)の割合で混合し、空気中において900℃で5時間焼成して焼成物を得た。得られた焼成物についてX線回折測定を行った結果、JCPDSファイルに登録されたLiCoO2 のスペクトルと良く一致していることが確かめられた。次いで、この焼成物を粉砕してレーザ回折法により得られる累積50%粒径が15μmのLiCoO2 粉末とした。
負極活物質層12の密度を1.65g/cm3 、または1.8g/cm3 としたことを除き、他は実施例1−3と同様にして二次電池を作製した。なお、造粒黒鉛材料12Bとメソカーボンマイクロビーズ12Cとの合計に対するメソカーボンマイクロビーズ12Cの質量比率は、30%である。また、実施例2−1,2−2では、電池内に充填する負極活物質の量を実施例1−3と同一とした。
Claims (5)
- 負極集電体と、この負極集電体に設けられた負極活物質層とを有し、
前記負極活物質層は、密度が1.5g/cm3 以上1.8g/cm3 以下の範囲内であり、かつ扁平状の黒鉛粒子を造粒して球形化された造粒黒鉛材料と、メソカーボンマイクロビーズとを含み、
前記造粒黒鉛材料と前記メソカーボンマイクロビーズとの合計に対する前記メソカーボンマイクロビーズの質量比率(メソカーボンマイクロビーズ/造粒黒鉛材料+メソカーボンマイクロビーズ)は、10%以上50%以下の範囲内である負極。 - 前記メソカーボンマイクロビーズのレーザ回折法により測定される平均粒径は、20μm以上30μm以下の範囲内であり、
前記造粒黒鉛材料のレーザ回折法により測定される平均粒径は、20μm以上30μm以下の範囲内である
請求項1記載の負極。 - 正極および負極と共に電解質を備えた電池であって、
前記負極は、負極集電体と、この負極集電体に設けられた負極活物質層とを有し、
前記負極活物質層は、密度が1.5g/cm3 以上1.8g/cm3 以下の範囲内であり、かつ扁平状の黒鉛粒子を造粒して球形化された造粒黒鉛材料と、メソカーボンマイクロビーズとを含み、
前記造粒黒鉛材料と前記メソカーボンマイクロビーズとの合計に対する前記メソカーボンマイクロビーズの質量比率(メソカーボンマイクロビーズ/造粒黒鉛材料+メソカーボンマイクロビーズ)は、10%以上50%以下の範囲内である電池。 - 前記メソカーボンマイクロビーズのレーザ回折法により測定される平均粒径は、20μm以上30μm以下の範囲内であり、
前記造粒黒鉛材料のレーザ回折法により測定される平均粒径は、20μm以上30μm以下の範囲内である
請求項3記載の電池。 - 前記電解質は、溶媒として1,3−ジオキソール−2−オンおよび4−ビニル−1,3ジオキソラン−2−オンのうちの少なくとも1種を含む
