Description
サイドウォール部のタイヤ最大幅の領域に、下記構成の領域A〜Dからなる劣化インジケータを形成したタイヤサイズ275/80R22.5で、図1に示すタイヤ構造を有する空気入りタイヤを作製した。領域Dのゴム組成をサイドウォール部と同じ下記のゴム成分の配合比がNR/BR=40/60のゴム組成にし、領域C、B、Aをゴム成分の配合比(NR/BR)だけを表1に記載のように異ならせたゴム組成にして、順にクラックの発生時期が早くなるように配列した。
・NR(天然ゴムSTR20); 40重量部
・BR(ブタジエンゴム、日本ゼオン社製Nipol BR1220); 60重量部
・HAF級カーボンブラック(東海カーボン社製シーストN); 40重量部
・酸化亜鉛(正同化学工業社製酸化亜鉛3種); 3重量部
・ステアリン酸(日本油脂社製ビーズステアリン酸NY); 1.5重量部
・老化防止剤(フレキシス社製6PPD); 4重量部
・軟化剤(昭和シェル石油社製アロマオイル デソレックス3号); 6重量部
・イオウ(鶴見化学工業社製金華印微粉硫黄); 1.5重量部
・加硫促進剤(大内新興化学工業社製ノクセラーNS); 0.75重量部
[劣化インジケータのクラック発生状況]
実車試験の期間を6月、12月、24月及び36月とし、各期間毎に劣化インジケータの領域A〜Dにクラック発生の有無を目視評価した。
各試験期間を経過したタイヤを、残溝5mm以上のタイヤについては残溝5mmまでバフし、速度50km/h、規格荷重に対して150%の荷重をかける条件でドラム試験を行った。その結果を、新品タイヤを残溝5mmまでバフし、同じ条件でドラム試験した破壊距離を100とする指数で表し、残存強度とした。この数値が低いほど、経時劣化が進んでいることを表す。
サイドウォール部のタイヤ最大幅の領域に、溝底の曲率半径が3mm、6mm、9mm及び12mmと順次大きくなる領域A、B、C及びDを形成する半割り円錐体の凹部をもつ図4の劣化インジケータを、タイヤ周方向に形成したタイヤサイズ275/80R22.5で、図1に示すタイヤ構造を有する空気入りタイヤを作製した。なお、サイドウォール部のゴム組成は参考例のサイドウォール部のゴム組成と同じにした。

Claims (2)
- 円錐を軸方向に平行な平面で分割して凹部の曲率半径が頂点から底部まで順次大きくなるように連続的に配列した半割り円錐状の凹部を劣化インジケータとし、この劣化インジケータをトレッド面以外のタイヤ露出面に軸方向をタイヤ周方向に向けるように配置し、この劣化インジケータが、環境因子及び/又は使用因子に基づくクラックの発生を経時的に前記曲率半径の小さい凹部ほど早く現わすようにした空気入りタイヤ。
- 前記環境因子及び/又は使用因子が、熱、光、酸素、オゾン、歪から選ばれた少なくとも1種である請求項1に記載の空気入りタイヤ。
