【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、パチンコ機や雀球遊技機などの遊技機に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
遊技球を使用した従来の遊技機、例えばパチンコ機にあっては、遊技領域のほぼ中央に設けたセンターケース内に液晶表示装置などの可変表示装置を配置し、遊技球が始動入賞口に入賞することを条件にして可変表示装置に数字等の識別表示を高速可変表示する別遊技(可変表示遊技)を行えるようにしたものが人気を呼んでいる。そして、この様なパチンコ機は、別遊技において停止した時の表示態様が7,7,7などの賞態様を成立させるか否かが注目されるので、近年、可変表示装置が大型化する傾向にあり、この大型化に伴ってセンターケースも大型化する。

さらに、可変表示装置の大型化のみならず、センターケース内における装飾効果を高めるために、装飾部品も大型化の傾向にあり、これもセンターケースの大型化に拍車をかけている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところで、センターケースを大型化すると、可変表示装置に表示する数字や絵柄などの視認性が高まり、また、装飾性が向上する一方で、遊技領域の大きさには限界があるので、釘に当たって流下方向を変更しながら遊技球が流下する領域が狭められてしまう。このため、遊技球が釘に当たって流下方向を変更しつつ転動し、その流下途中で入賞具に入賞するか否かを楽しむパチンコ遊技本来の楽しさを減殺してしまう不都合が生じる。特に、センターケースの左右両側方における遊技領域が狭められるので、この部分における遊技球の動きの変化が小さくなってしまう。

また、遊技領域の左右側縁部分にはサイドランプが配設されており、このサイドランプを排除したり小型化して遊技球が遊技領域の左右周縁部分まで到達できるようにしたとしても、この部分、あるいはその直ぐ下方に入賞具を設けることはできない。したがって、単にサイドランプを排除したり小型化して遊技領域の左右方向に遊技球が到達できるように構成したとしても、遊技領域の左右周縁部分まで到達した遊技球はそのまま入賞の機会が与えられることなくアウト口に回収されてしまうことになり、遊技の楽しさを補完することにはならない。

本発明は上記した事情に鑑み提案されたもので、その目的は、センターケースが大型化しても遊技領域の左右周縁部分の有効利用を図ることができ、しかもこの部分に到達した遊技球であっても入賞の機会が与えられる遊技機を提供しようとするものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は上記目的を達成するため提案されたもので、請求項1に記載のものは、遊技盤の表面に円弧状の区画部材により遊技領域を略円形に区画形成し、該遊技領域内の略中央部分にセンターケースを、該センターケースよりも下方に入賞具を、センターケースの下部側方であって遊技領域の左右周縁部にサイドランプ部材をそれぞれ配設するとともに、該サイドランプ部材、センターケース、入賞具の取付部分を除いた遊技領域内に釘を複数本植設し、遊技領域の上部に飛入した遊技球が釘に当たりながら流下し、その流下途中で入賞具に入賞可能な遊技機において、

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、代表的な遊技機であるパチンコ機を例に挙げて本発明の実施の形態を図面に基づいて説明する。
図1はパチンコ機1の正面図、図2はパチンコ機1の遊技盤2の正面図である。

パチンコ機1は、図1に示すように、大きな開口部を有する額縁状前面枠3の裏面に遊技盤2を着脱可能に装着し、該遊技盤2の前方にはガラス枠4のガラスを配置し、開閉パネル5に設けられた上皿6に遊技球を投入して、遊技者が前面の発射操作ハンドル7を操作すると、前面枠3の裏側に設けられた球発射装置と球供給機構(図示せず)が作動して上皿6内の遊技球を1個ずつ遊技盤2表面の遊技領域9内に向けて発射し、遊技領域9内に飛入した遊技球が釘に当たりながら流下し、流下途中で入賞具に入賞すると球排出ユニット(図示せず)が作動して遊技球を上皿6側に賞球として排出し、いずれの入賞具にも入賞しないで遊技領域9の下端まで流下した遊技球はアウト口10からアウト球として回収されるように構成されている。

遊技盤2は、図2に示すように、矩形の板材であり、表面に、金属帯板からなる略横C字状の第1ガイドレール11を左側に止着するとともに、この第1ガイドレール11の内側に打球通路12となる所定の間隔を空けて略半円弧状の第2ガイドレール13を止着し、上記第1ガイドレール11の上端部分に連続する円弧面17を下面に有する横長なプラスチック製上部材18を遊技盤上部に止着し、上記ガイドレール13の右端部分に連続する円弧面14を左側に有する縦長なプラスチック製側部材15を遊技盤右側に止着し、該側部材15の円弧面14の上端と上記上部材18の円弧面17の右端部との間にゴム材16を介在させて接続し、第1ガイドレール11、第2ガイドレール13、上部材18の円弧面17、及び側部材15の円弧面14で略円形に区画された遊技領域9を区画形成する。そして、該遊技領域9のほぼ中央上半寄りにセンターケース20を配置し、該センターケース20の開口窓部21内に液晶表示装置などの可変表示装置22の表示面を臨ませて設け、センターケース20の下方に、可変表示装置始動用の始動入賞口23を、その左右に普通図柄表示装置始動用の通過ゲート24を配置し、これら入賞具23,24の下方に大入賞口25を配置し、センターケース20の下部両側方であって遊技領域9の左右周縁にサイドランプ部材26を配置し、始動入賞口23、通過ゲート24、大入賞口25などの入賞具やセンターケース20などの取付部分(すなわち占有部分)を除いた遊技領域9内に釘(障害釘)を植設するとともに所謂風車27を配置する。
なお、本実施形態では、第1,第2ガイドレール11,13、上部材18、及び側部材15が本発明の区画部材として機能する。

センターケース20は、図2及び図3に示すように、中央部分に矩形の開口窓部21を開設した枠材であり、遊技盤2表面に取り付ける取付基板30の上部に、左右全幅に亘って庇状の鎧部31を前方に突設し、該鎧部31の左右傾斜端部から下方に縦長な側壁部32を突設し、左右の側壁部32の下端同士を接続する状態で案内棚33を突設し、上記鎧部31、左右側壁部32、及び案内棚33に囲まれた部分に開口窓部21を開設してある。そして、鎧部31は、上面が中央の振り分け凸部34から左右方向に向けて緩やかに下り傾斜している。したがって、遊技領域9の上部に飛入した遊技球は、センターケース20の鎧部31の上面に流下すると、図3に示すように、左側あるいは右側に振り分けられることとなり、第2ガイドレール13の上端近傍部分とセンターケース20の左端との間、または側部材15の円弧面14の上端近傍部分とセンターケース20の右端との間の狭い遊技領域9を流下する。

従来のパチンコ機においては、センターケースにより狭められた遊技領域の上部を通った遊技球は、釘の配置によりセンターケース下方に流下するように構成されており、また、遊技領域の左右の周縁近傍まで流下したとしても入賞の機会が望めない構造(すなわち、その下方に入賞具が配置できない)で構成されていたために、遊技者からすれば遊技球の行方に対する興味が薄れてしまっていた。

ところが、本発明では、前記した狭い遊技領域9を通った遊技球が遊技領域9の左右周縁まで広い範囲に亘って流下し、しかもそれでも入賞する機会があるように構成されているので、遊技者が遊技球の行方に注目して、パチンコ遊技本来の楽しさを味わうことができる。

次に、このための構成について説明する。

まず、サイドランプ部材26について説明するが、遊技領域9の左右にそれぞれ配設されたものは、左右対称であって基本的な構造は同じであるので、左側のサイドランプ部材26を例に挙げて説明する。

図4及び図5に示すように、サイドランプ部材26は、遊技盤2の表面に取り付ける取付基板35と、該取付基板35の前面に設けられたレンズ部材36と、該レンズ部材36の後方に設けられた発光源としてのランプ37、取付基板35の上部に突設されて上面が遊技領域9の中央下部に向かって下り傾斜した案内樋38と、該案内樋38の下方であって遊技領域9中央側に延出した取付基板35の延出部39に設けられた側方入賞具40とを備えている。

取付基板35は、遊技領域9の周縁、すなわちガイドレール11の円弧形状に対応させて緩やかな略円弧形状に彎曲した縦長な板材であり、上部(上端から少し下がった位置)に案内樋38を一体成型し、該案内樋38の下方の部分に、レンズ部材36を装着するレンズ用開口部41を複数開設するとともに、隣り合うレンズ用開口部41の境及び下端に遮光性の仕切り壁42を取付基板35の幅方向に立設し、また、円弧の内側の周縁から遊技領域9中央側に向けて水平辺と垂直辺に囲まれた略直角三角形の延出部39を2箇所延設し、各延出部39に側方入賞具用開口部43を開設し、該側方入賞具用開口部43にポケット状の側方入賞具40を取り付け、側方入賞具40には入賞球検出器44をそれぞれ設けて入賞した遊技球を検出するように構成されている。なお、前記した仕切り壁42は、後述するレンズ部材36の断面形状と同じ形状に形成され、レンズ部材36を取り付けた状態で各レンズ部材36の表面と凹凸がなく、遊技球の流下に支障がないようにしてある。また、レンズ用開口部41の内周側には装飾用の凹凸部が一体成型されている。

案内樋38は、上面が遊技領域9の下部中央に向けて下り傾斜した棚板状の部材であり、傾斜上端が取付基板35の外側側縁よりも1〜2mm突出し、傾斜下端が取付基板35の内側側縁に位置している。そして、この案内樋38は、取付基板35と一体成型されて、レンズ部材36とは別個なので、遊技球が当たった時の衝撃をレンズ部材36に伝え難い。

レンズ部材36は、取付基板35とは別個に成型され、後面が開口した透光性プラスチック製の略円弧状彎曲箱体であり、外周側の側面(すなわち外周縁)46が取付基板35の外周縁の曲率と同じ曲率で彎曲し、取付基板35の内周縁の曲率と同じ曲率で形成した内周側の縁(すなわち内周縁)には、前記した装飾用凹凸部に対応した凸凹部を形成し、外周側側面46の上端を始点として前面(すなわち外周側の側面46の前側)から遊技領域9側の側面を経て取付基板35表面に一連に続く面47が断面形状略S字状の曲面で構成され、上記内周側の縁近傍の山裾状の凹曲面が後述する球流下路48(図8参照)を区画する面となり、上記外周側側面46及びS字状曲面47の端縁で囲まれた空部を前記仕切り壁42と同じ形状の端面壁49で閉塞している。なお、本実施形態ではサイドランプ部材26にレンズ部材36を4つ取り付けるが、この4つのレンズ部材36はすべて色彩を異ならせて、レンズ部材36毎に発光源を設けて異なる色彩で輝くようにしてある。

上記したレンズ部材36を取付基板35に取り付けるには、図5に示すように、レンズ部材36を取付基板35の表側からレンズ用開口部41内に嵌合し、レンズ部材36から後方に向けて一体成型した係止爪片50を取付基板35の係止部(図示せず)に係止する。そして、取付基板35の後方からランプ基板51を取り付けるとともにランプ基板51の後方からカバー材52を被せ、ランプ基板51に設けられている発光源としてのランプ37をレンズ部材36の後方に配置する。したがって、ランプ37が発光すると、この光が前方のレンズ部材36を透過して輝き、装飾効果を発揮することができ、しかも隣り合うレンズ部材36は仕切り壁42により遮光されているので、隣りのランプ37で光ることもなく、明瞭な発光装飾効果が期待できる。

また、レンズ部材36を取付基板35に取り付けると、図8に示すように、各側方入賞具40とレンズ部材36の遊技領域9側(すなわち内周側)の側面との間隔を遊技球の直径よりも広く設定してあるので、取付基板35上の当該間隔内に球流下路48が形成される。

なお、各レンズ部材36は、取付基板35に対して多少ガタがある状態で取り付け、遊技球が当接した際の衝撃をガタで緩衝し、取付基板35に直接衝撃が伝達されないように構成されている。

この様な構成から成るサイドランプ部材26を遊技盤2の表面に取り付けるには、遊技領域9の左右幅が最大となる高さに案内樋38を位置させ、取付基板35から外側に突出している案内樋38の傾斜上端(つまり突出部)を第2ガイドレール13の内周面、あるいは側部材15の円弧面14に当接する。そして、この様にしてサイドランプ部材26をセンターケース20の下部両側方であって遊技領域9の左右周縁部分に配置したならば、取付基板35の上端、下端、及び上延出部39に開設してある止着孔55内にネジ等の止着部材を挿入して固定する。この様にして配置された案内樋は38はセンターケース20の案内棚33に対して高い位置となり、この案内樋38により遊技球を案内棚33側にも誘導可能となる。

サイドランプ部材26を遊技盤2の表面に固定すると、案内樋38の傾斜上端が区画部材である第2ガイドレール13や側部材15の円弧面14に当接しているので、取付基板35の外周縁の曲率と区画部材の曲率を合わせる煩わしさも解消される。

また、サイドランプ部材26を遊技盤2の表面に固定すると、図1及び図2に示す本実施形態においては、センターケース20の左右に位置する遊技領域9に関して、左右の周縁まで遊技球が流下可能となり、また、この左右周縁近傍の遊技領域9に流下した遊技球にも入賞の機会が与えられるので、遊技領域9が実質的に左右に拡張されて有効利用可能となる。すなわち、センターケース20の側方の遊技領域9には、流下してきた遊技球をセンターケース20下方に誘導するために複数本の釘を斜めに植設した釘列60が配置されているが、この釘列60の上端と下端に遊技球が通過可能な空部61,62が形成されているので、釘列60の上の空部61を通過した遊技球が遊技領域9の左右周縁まで流下可能であり、また、釘列60の下の空部62を通過した遊技球も遊技領域9の左右周縁まで流下可能であり、特に下の空部62の下方には、遊技球の流下方向を不規則に変換するいわゆる風車27が配置されているので、上記釘列60に誘導されて流下してきた遊技球がセンターケース20の下方に流下方向を変えたり、あるいは遊技領域9の左右周縁に向けて流下方向を変えたりして、遊技球の行方に球技者の意識を惹くことができる。

そして、遊技領域9の左右周縁まで或いはその近傍まで流下してきた遊技球に入賞の機会を付与するために、本発明においては、サイドランプ部材26の案内樋38の傾斜下端から遊技領域9の中央下部に向けて複数本の釘を、球が落下したり止まらない間隔で並べて植設し、これにより球流下案内釘列63を構成するとともに、球流下案内釘列63の傾斜下端の横に遊技球が流下し得る球流下空部64を形成し、球流下案内釘列63および上記案内樋38による球の案内(誘導)により、遊技球がサイドランプ部材26に設けた側方入賞具40や始動入賞口23などに入賞したり、あるいはセンターケース20の下方の釘で弾けてセンターケース20の案内棚33上に載って中央流出部33´から始動入賞口23に向けて案内される機会を与えている。また、このために、本発明においては、球流下空部64内を流下した遊技球を誘導する釘を植設可能な釘植設領域65を側方入賞具40の上端と案内樋38の傾斜下端との間に形成し、この釘植設領域65内に、側方入賞具40に遊技球を誘導可能な釘を植設し、さらに球流下空部64を飛び越して流下した遊技球を始動入賞口23などに誘導する誘導釘列66を下方中央側に向けて下り傾斜させた状態で植設してある。

具体的に説明すると、図9に示すように、上側方入賞具40aの直上左右に一対の命釘67を球径より僅かに広い間隔で植設し、球流下空部64の外側の縁の下に遊技球を上記命釘67側または遊技領域9周縁側に誘導可能な振り分け釘68を植設し、該振り分け釘68の内側(遊技領域9中央寄り)には命釘67側に誘導された遊技球が確実に命釘67,67の間に誘導されるように案内する案内釘69を植設する。即ち、これらの各釘により、球流下空部64と側方入賞具40aとの間に球案内路(領域)を形成している。

したがって、遊技領域9の左右周縁あるいはその近傍まで流下した遊技球は、案内樋38及び球流下案内釘列63により遊技領域9の中央側に向けて案内されながら流下し、球流下案内釘列63の傾斜下端から球流下空部64内を落下して流下方向を変更した遊技球は、振り分け釘68により遊技領域9の周縁側あるいは側方入賞具40a側に振り分けられ、側方入賞具40a側に振り分けられた遊技球は案内釘69に案内されて側方入賞具40aに入賞する。一方、遊技領域9の周縁側に振り分けられた遊技球は、側方入賞具40aとレンズ部材36との間の球流下路48を通って流下し、そのまま流下してアウト口10に回収される。この球流下路48は、球が一列で通過できる幅でしかないが、レンズ部材36の表面がS字状の曲面で構成されているので、複数の遊技球が競合しながら流下しても、上記曲面に案内されて遊技球が前方(ガラス側)に逃げられるので、これにより球が止まることを防止できる。

また、球流下空部64を飛び越して球誘導釘列66上を流下する遊技球は、遊技領域9の中央下部に配設されている始動入賞口23などの入賞具に入賞したり、あるいはセンターケース20の下方の釘で弾けてセンターケース20の案内棚33上に載って中央流出部33´から始動入賞口23に向けて案内される機会が与えられる他に、サイドランプ部材26の下方に配設された下側方入賞具40bに入賞する機会も与えられる。

このため、誘導釘列66の傾斜下端の横に副球流下空部70を形成し、この副球流下空部70を落下した遊技球が下方に配置された側方入賞具40bに入賞可能としてある。具体的には、前記したように、サイドランプ部材26の取付基板35に、区画部材の延在方向に沿って延出部39を2つ形成し、各延出部39に、レンズ部材36の側面との間隔を遊技球の直径よりも広く設定しつつ側方入賞具40a、40bを区画部材の延在方向に沿って配置し、上方に位置する延出部39aの側方であって下方に位置する延出部39bの上方に副釘植設領域71を形成し、該副釘植設領域71内に、側方入賞具40bに遊技球を流下誘導可能な釘を植設してあるので、副球流下空部70と側方入賞具40bとの間に球誘導路(領域)が形成され、この釘の誘導で副球流下空部70を通った遊技球を側方入賞具40bに入賞させることができる。

副釘植設領域71に植設する釘は、側方入賞具40bの直上に左右一対植設した命釘73の他に、副球流下空部70と命釘73との間に、遊技球を上記命釘73側または遊技領域9中央寄りに誘導可能に植設された振り分け釘74、外側の命釘73の斜め上に遊技球を命釘73,73の間に案内するように植設された案内釘75などがある。

この様に、本実施形態によるパチンコ機1においては、センターケース20が大型化しても遊技領域9の左右周縁部分まで遊技球が流下できるようにして、限られた大きさの遊技領域9の有効利用を図ることができ、しかもこの部分に到達した遊技球であってもサイドランプ部材26に設けた案内樋38とその傾斜下端から遊技領域9の中央側に向けて植設した球流下案内釘列63とで遊技球を案内して側方入賞具40などへの入賞の機会を与えることができる。したがって、遊技球が釘に当たって流下方向を変更しつつ転動し、その流下途中で入賞具に入賞するか否かを楽しむパチンコ遊技本来の楽しみを遊技者に与えることができる。

ところで、今回開示した実施の形態は、全ての点で例示であって制限的なものではないと考えられるべきである。よって、本発明は、上記実施の形態に限定されず、本発明の範囲は上記した説明ではなくて特許請求の範囲によって示され、特許請求の範囲と均等の意味および内容の範囲での全ての変形、変更が含まれることが意図される。

例えば、センターケース20は、可変表示装置22を内側に設けるものに限定されるものではなく、遊技領域9のほぼ中央部分に配置されるケースであれば良い。したがって、センター役物といわれる入賞装置のケースを含むものである。
また、発光源はランプに限らず発光ダイオードなどでもよい。
なお、前記した実施形態ではパチンコ機1を例に挙げたが、本発明に係る遊技機はこれに限定されるものではなく、例えば雀球遊技機、アレンジボール式遊技機など遊技球を使用する遊技機であればよい。
