例えば、トイレ室では、図３に示すように、シャワートイレ等の電気制御可能な便器装置９２が設けられているとともに、この便器装置９２の周辺の壁面９１にその便器装置９２を作動可能なリモコン９６、棚９３、ペーパホルダ９４、タオル掛け９５等が設けられ得る。ここで、リモコン９６は、壁面９１に固定される図示しないリモコンホルダにより着脱可能になされることが一般的である。この場合、便器装置９２を使用する者が腕や手を棚９３の上面９３ａに乗せる場合もあり得ることから、そのような棚９３は比較的低い位置に設けられることが一般的である。一方、その使用者にとっての視認性及び操作性向上の観点から、その棚９３の上面９３ａより上方に操作面９６ａを位置させるべくリモコン９６を設けることが一般的である。

本発明の棚付きリモコンは、壁面に設けられ、便器装置を作動可能なリモコン部と、該リモコン部に設けられる棚部とを有し、該リモコン部の前面の上側は該便器装置の使用者に対面する操作面を構成し、該リモコン部の前面の下側には該棚部が保持され、該棚部の上面が該リモコン部の前面より前方へ延びていることを特徴とする。
