Description

The present invention relates to a seal member mounting apparatus that automatically mounts a hollow seal member on an end of an electric wire.

Conventionally, as an automatic electric wire terminal processing apparatus including a seal member mounting apparatus, for example, the one shown in FIG. 11 is known (see Patent Document 1).
The automatic electric wire terminal processing apparatus includes an electric wire holding device 100, an insulation coating stripping device 120, a seal member mounting device 130, a terminal crimping device 140, and a control box 150.

The electric wire holding device 100 includes a rotary table 101 that rotates with an interval of 60 degrees, and six electric wire clamps 102 to 107 are arranged for every 60 degrees in the rotation direction of the rotary table 101. The first clamp 102 holds the electric wire at the electric wire clamp position 108 and then rotates 60 degrees counterclockwise to reach the insulating coating stripping position 109 where the insulating coating stripping device 120 is located. Here, the insulation coating stripping device 120 strips the coating on the tip of the electric wire. After the first electric wire clamp 102 reaches the insulation coating stripping position 109, the electric wire to be subjected to the next end treatment is held by the second electric wire clamp 107 at the electric wire clamping position 108, and the electric wire clamps 106, 105, 104, An electric wire to be subjected to terminal processing is held by 103 and sequentially sent to the next processing step.

The first wire clamp 102 holding the wire stripped at the insulating coating stripping position 109 further rotates 60 degrees and reaches the seal member mounting position 110. Here, the seal member mounting device 130 mounts the seal member S (see FIG. 12) on the covered end of the electric wire. The first electric wire clamp 102 holding the electric wire equipped with the seal member further rotates 60 degrees and reaches the terminal crimping position 111, where the terminal crimping device 140 crimps the terminal to the electric wire. The first clamp 102 holding the electric wire with the terminal crimped is further rotated by 60 degrees, reaches the crimping terminal detection position 112, and after checking whether the terminal is securely crimped by the detection device 160, It is discharged at the wire discharge position 113.

Here, the mounting process of the sealing member to the electric wire by the sealing member mounting apparatus 130 will be described with reference to FIG. 12 (A) to 12 (C) are explanatory views of a process in which the seal member delivery device receives the seal member, and FIGS. 12 (D) to 12 (G) show the seal member received by the seal member delivery device as an electric wire. It is explanatory drawing of the process with which a coating | coated end is mounted | worn.

The seal member mounting device 130 includes a seal member delivery device 170. When the seal member delivery device 170 receives the seal member S, as shown in FIG. 12A, the seal member delivery device 170 has a seal member receiving hole 183 defined by a pair of holding arms 181 and 182. It is in the seal member receiving position facing the seal member S prepared inside. The second cylindrical body 172 and the guide pin 173 are in the forward position with respect to the first cylindrical body 171, and the guide pin 173 protrudes from the second cylindrical body 172.

Then, as shown in FIG. 12B, the first cylinder 171 moves forward with the second cylinder 172 and the guide pins 173, and the second cylinder 172 is inserted into the hollow space of the seal member S by the guide pins 173. Fit into. Thereby, the seal member S is held around the second cylindrical body 172. In this process, when the tip of the guide pin 173 reaches the middle of the hollow portion of the seal member S, the pair of holding arms 181 and 182 begin to separate from each other, and a second outer diameter larger than the seal member receiving hole 183 is obtained. Allow the cylinder 172 to enter. The front end of the guide pin 173 is received by the stopper 190, and the end surface of the stopper 190 comes into contact with the rear end surface of the seal member S to limit the backward movement of the seal member S.

Next, as shown in FIG. 12C, the first cylinder 171 moves backward with the second cylinder 172 and returns to the original position. The seal member S remains held around the second cylinder 172. In this process, the guide pin 173 is also retracted and accommodated in the second cylinder 172.
Then, the seal member delivery device 170 holding the seal member S rotates 60 degrees counterclockwise from the position shown in FIG. 12C and reaches the seal member mounting position 110, as shown in FIG. 12D. , Facing the electric wire W held by the first clamp 102.

Next, as shown in FIG. 12E, the first cylinder 171 moves forward with the second cylinder 172 and the guide pins 173, and the second cylinder 172 receives the covered end of the electric wire W.
Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 12F, the second cylinder 172 is retracted and accommodated in the first cylinder 171, and the seal member S is attached to the covered end of the electric wire W. When the second cylinder 172 starts to retract, the seal member S that is fitted tightly on the second cylinder 172 also tries to retract together with the second cylinder 172. However, the seal member S does not contact the end surface of the first cylinder 171. As a result, only the second cylinder 172 moves backward and enters the first cylinder 171, and the seal member S is transferred onto the covered end of the electric wire W.
Finally, as shown in FIG. 12G, the first cylinder 171 moves backward. The second cylinder 172 and the guide pin 173 are moved forward with respect to the first cylinder 171 and then rotated clockwise to return to the initial position in FIG. The sealing member S is automatically attached to the covered end of the electric wire W through the above steps.
JP 59-154783 A

However, the sealing member mounting apparatus in the automatic electric wire terminal processing apparatus shown in FIGS. 11 and 12 has the following problems.
That is, when the seal member delivery device 170 holding the seal member S reaches the seal member mounting position 110 shown in FIG. 12D and faces the wire W held by the first wire clamp 102, The covering edge is not correctly positioned. For this reason, as shown in FIG. 12 (E), when the first cylinder 171 moves forward with the second cylinder 172 and the guide pin 173, the covered end of the electric wire W becomes the end face of the seal member S or the second end. In some cases, the wire W buckles due to contact with the front end surface of the cylindrical body 172, and the covered end of the electrical wire W cannot be received in the second cylindrical body 172. In particular, when the outer diameter of the electric wire W is about 2 mm or less, particularly about 1 mm, this problem can be remarkable.

Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems, and the purpose thereof is to accurately position the covered end of the electric wire with respect to the cylindrical body holding the sealing member, and to cover the covered end of the electric wire. It is an object of the present invention to provide a seal member mounting apparatus that can appropriately receive a seal member and appropriately perform automatic mounting of a seal member on a coated end portion of an electric wire.

Vertical position of the plane that constitutes the upper surface of the base portion 71 is a substantially coaxial with the central axes of the cylindrical bodies 17 of the sealing member transfer device 10 that the center axis of the covering end part of the wire W is located in the sealing member fitting position Adjusted to position. In addition, the lower surface of the electric wire insertion guide 72 is lowered, and when the lower surface comes into contact with the upper surface of the pedestal 71, the covering end of the electric wire W is pressed and the central axis of the covering end is attached to the seal member. A plurality of wire receiving grooves 72a are formed that are positioned substantially coaxially with respect to the central axis of the cylindrical body 17 of the seal member transfer device 10 in the seal member transfer device at the position. A cylindrical body receiving groove 73b for receiving the cylindrical body 17 is formed at the end of each wire receiving groove 72a. When the central axis of the coated end portion of the electric wire W is positioned by the electric wire insertion guide device 70, as shown in FIG. The base part 71 and the electric wire insertion guide part 72 constituting the insertion guide device 70 protrude from the rear end surface.

The seal member delivery device 10 is configured such that the guide member 20 and the cylinder 17 are the seal members at the advance positions of the first member 13, the cylinder 17 and the guide member 20 at the seal member receiving position (see FIG. 5B). The seal member S enters the hollow portion Sa of the seal member S held by the holding unit 31 and receives and holds the seal member S on the circumferential surface of the cylindrical body 17. Then, the first member 13 and the guide member 20 are retracted during the position change to the seal member mounting position (see FIG. 7B), and the first member 13 is accompanied by the seal member S again at the seal member mounting position. The cylindrical body 17 is moved forward to be received in the cylindrical body receiving grooves 73b and 73a formed at the respective ends of the wire receiving groove 72a and the pedestal portion 71 of the wire insertion guide part 72, and the covering of the positioned electric wire W is performed. The end portion is received in the cylindrical body 17 (see FIG. 8B), and then only the cylindrical body 17 is retracted into the first member 13 so that the sealing member S on the cylindrical body 17 is covered with the coated end of the electric wire W. (See FIG. 9B).

Next, a method for attaching the seal member S to the coated end portion of the electric wire W will be described in detail with reference to FIGS.
First, as shown in FIG. 2, in the initial state where the seal member delivery device 10 is located at the seal member receiving position facing the seal member holding device 30, a plurality of seal members are supplied from a seal member supply source (not shown). The seal member S is held in the through hole 31 a of the seal member holding part 31. In this initial state, the first member 13 and the cylinder 17 are in the retracted position, and the guide member 20 is in the advanced position. Further, the seal pressing member 32 is in the retracted position.
As shown in FIG. 3, the first member 13 moves forward, and the front end surface of the first member 13 comes into contact with the front end surface of the seal member holding portion 31.
Next, as shown in FIG. 4, the seal pressing member 32 moves forward, the front end surface of each pressing portion 32 a presses the rear end surface of each sealing member S, and the front portion of the sealing member S is the seal of the first member 13. It enters the member receiving recess 13b.

Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 5, the guide members 20 and the cylinders 17 advance, and the guide members 20 and the cylinders 17 are held in the seal member holding portions 31 in the hollow portions Sa of the seal members S. The seal member S is received and held on the peripheral surface of the cylindrical body 17. At this time, since the front end of each guide member 20 is a tapered conical guide portion, each guide member 20 and each cylindrical body 17 is connected to each seal member while the guide portion expands the hollow portion Sa of each seal member S. It enters into the hollow portion Sa of S and the entry is smoothly performed. And since the rear end surface of each seal member S is pressed by each press part 32a of the seal press member 32, the seal member S does not jump out of the seal member holding part 31.

Then, as shown in FIG. 6, the first member 13 is retracted, and as shown in FIG. 7, the guide member 20 is also retracted while the seal member delivery device 10 is shifted to the seal member mounting position. The seal member S remains held on the peripheral surface of the cylindrical body 17. When the seal member delivery device 10 is shifted to the seal member mounting position, the substrate portion 11 is rotated 180 degrees clockwise or counterclockwise in the direction indicated by the arrow in FIG.
On the other hand, in the initial state where the seal member delivery device 10 shown in FIG. 7 is located at the seal member mounting position, the wire support member 40 is supported by the support portion 51 of the wire support member setting jig 50, and The covered end portion is in a state of being inserted obliquely between the pedestal portion 71 and the wire insertion guide portion 72 of the wire insertion guide device 70.

And as shown in FIG. 8, while the electric wire clamp apparatus 60 clamps the covering edge part vicinity of each electric wire W, when the electric wire insertion guide part 72 descend | falls, the lower surface of the electric wire insertion guide part 72 will be on the upper surface of the base part 71. When contacted, the wire receiving groove 72a presses the covering end of each wire W, and the center axis of the covering end is set to the center axis of the cylinder 17 of the seal member delivery device 10 at the seal member mounting position. Position it approximately coaxially. For this reason, the covering end portion of the electric wire W can be accurately positioned with respect to the cylindrical body 17 holding the seal member S. At this time, the portion of the covering end portion of each electric wire W where the seal member S is to be mounted protrudes from the rear end face of the base portion 71 and the electric wire insertion guide portion 72 constituting the electric wire insertion guide device 70. And the 1st member 13 advances again with the sealing member S, and the cylinder body receiving groove 73b formed in each edge part of the wire receiving groove 72a of the electric wire insertion guide part 72 and the base part 71, and the cylinder body 17b, 73a to thereby received, receiving the positioning has been in the cylindrical body 17 a covering end portions of the respective electrical wires W. For this reason, the cylindrical body 17 can appropriately receive the covered end portion of the electric wire W, and the automatic attachment of the seal member S to the covered end portion of the electric wire W can be appropriately performed. In particular, the outer diameter of the electric wire W is about 2 mm or less, and is particularly effective when the sealing member S is attached to the coated end portion of the electric wire W that is as thin as about 1 mm.

After that, as shown in FIG. 9, only the cylinder 17 is moved back into the first member 13, and each sealing member S on the cylinder 17 is transferred to the covered end portion of each electric wire W. Thereby, the sealing member S is automatically attached to the covering end portion of the electric wire W.
Finally, as shown in FIG. 10, the first member 13 is retracted, and each electric wire W with the sealing member S attached to the covering end is taken out. Thereafter, a contact (not shown) is crimped and connected to the covered end portion of each electric wire W taken out. And the seal member delivery apparatus 10 returns to the original state shown in FIG.

As mentioned above, although embodiment of this invention has been described, this invention is not limited to this, A various change and improvement can be performed.
For example, the seal member S may be attached not only to the covered end portions of the plurality of electric wires W but also to the covered end portions of a single electric wire W.
