Description
前記流出防止板は、溶融空間から電極の表面を伝わって流出した溶融ガラスがケーシングに到達することを防止するように構成され、
前記電極はガラス原料を溶融させるための主電極であり、ケーシングは導電性であるものである。
図1は本発明を実施する形態の一例であって、図中、図2と同一の符号を付した部分は同一物を表わしている。而して、ガラス溶融炉の基本的な構成は図2に示す従来のものと同様であるが、本図示例の特徴とするところは、図1に示す如く、キャスタブル12が充填された位置において、主電極7の外周を包囲するようにフランジ状の流出防止板17を外嵌し、流出防止板17と主電極7とを周方向に対する連続溶接により固設した点にある。
上記ガラス溶融炉1においては、主電極7は溶融炉本体3を構成する耐火煉瓦10,11、キャスタブル12、断熱ボード13、ケーシング14を貫通しているため、溶融空間2で溶融した溶融ガラスGは、主電極7の溶融炉本体3貫通部表面を伝わって、耐火煉瓦10,11、キャスタブル12まで流出する虞がある。

Claims (2)
- 外周にケーシングを備えた溶融炉本体を水平方向へ貫通して一端が溶融空間内に露出し他端がケーシング外へ突出する電極の外周部に、前記溶融炉本体内に位置するよう、流出防止板を固設し、
前記流出防止板は、溶融空間から電極の表面を伝わって流出した溶融ガラスがケーシングに到達することを防止するように構成され、
前記電極はガラス原料を溶融させるための主電極であり、ケーシングは導電性であることを特徴とするガラス溶融炉。 - 溶融炉本体内において、流出防止板は電極の軸線方向へ複数個固設されている請求項1に記載のガラス溶融炉。
