上述の如き従来の構成は、送風機能の維持と静穏化の面でのレベルアップは実現しているが、ニーズの高まりとの並走の形で更なる改善が必要となっているのが実態であった。

本発明に成る軸流ファンは、前記羽根車を形成するブレードの、吸込口側端部の外周縁径をD、前記断面円弧状を成す円筒状風洞部の吸込口側端部断面円弧半径をR、前記ブレードの吸込口側端部外周縁と、これと放射方向に対向する前記風洞部円弧面部位との隙間をΔとしたとき、RとΔが夫々
