【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、パチンコホールなどの遊技場に設置される複数台の遊技媒体貸出用台間機などから紙幣を一括して回収するための紙幣搬送装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
一般に、パチンコホールなどの遊技場においては、複数台のパチンコ機又はスロットマシンを横並びに配列して1つの遊技機列を構成し、この遊技機列を2つ互いに背中合わせに配置して1つの遊技島を構成しており、各遊技機列の隣接する遊技機の間毎又は所定置き毎にそれぞれ遊技媒体貸出用の台間機を配置している。この台間機で紙幣を使用可能とする場合には、台間機の内部に紙幣識別機などを設けるとともに、遊技島内の遊技機列背面側に紙幣搬送装置を配置し、台間機の紙幣識別機で検査した紙幣をその背面側の紙幣送り出し口から紙幣搬送装置側へ送り出し、遊技島の端などに配置した紙幣回収保管部に搬送して回収するようにしている。

そして、上記紙幣搬送装置としては、例えば特公平5−55414号公報に開示されるように、遊技機列の背面側で島列方向に延びかつ一端が紙幣回収保管部に接続された主搬送路に沿って紙幣を搬送する主搬送装置(上記例示の公報のものでいう挟持搬送装置)と、一端が上記主搬送路に、他端が各台間機の紙幣送り出し口にそれぞれ接続された各連結搬送路に沿って紙幣を搬送する複数の連結搬送装置(同じく案内機構)とからなるものが知られている。上記主搬送装置及び各連結搬送装置は、いずれもベルトとローラとで紙幣を垂直に立てた状態で挟持して搬送するように構成されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところが、上記従来の紙幣搬送装置では、主搬送路に沿って搬送される紙幣と連結搬送路側から主搬送路側に移送される紙幣とが同時に主搬送路と連結搬送路との接続箇所(いわゆる交差部又は交差点)に到達すると互いに擦れ合うことなどによって紙幣詰まりが発生し易いという問題があった。

本発明はかかる点に鑑みてなされたものであり、その課題とするところは、上記主搬送路と台間機側の紙幣の搬送路との交差部に、主搬送路に沿って搬送される紙幣と台間機側から主搬送路側に移送される紙幣とが同時に到着しないようにすることにより、交差部での紙幣詰まりを防止し得る紙幣搬送装置を提供せんとするものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の課題を解決するため、請求項1に係る発明は、複数の遊技機を横並びに配列してなる遊技機列の隣接する遊技機の間毎又は所定置き毎にそれぞれ紙幣の投入により少なくとも遊技媒体の貸出制御を行う台間機が配置され、これらの台間機に投入された紙幣を各台間機の背面側に設けた紙幣送り出し口から遊技島内の所定箇所に配置した紙幣回収保管部に搬送する紙幣搬送装置として、上記遊技機列の背面側で島列方向に延びかつ一端が上記紙幣回収保管部に接続された主搬送路に沿って紙幣を垂直又は斜めに立てた状態で搬送する主搬送装置と、上記主搬送路上で各台間機の紙幣送り出し口と近接する位置にそれぞれ配置され、主搬送路の一部を、主搬送装置により紙幣を搬送する位置と各台間機の紙幣送り出し口側から紙幣を取り込む位置とに選択的に変更する複数の搬送路変更装置とを備える構成とする。

この構成では、主搬送路上で各台間機の紙幣送り出し口と近接する位置にそれぞれ搬送路変更装置が配置され、この各搬送路変更装置が主搬送路の一部を、例えば通常は主搬送装置により紙幣を搬送する位置に設定しておき、台間機に紙幣が投入されかつ主搬送路の上流側に搬送途中の紙幣がないときに台間機の紙幣送り出し口側から紙幣を取り込む位置に一時的に変更することなどにより、主搬送路に沿って搬送される紙幣と台間機側から主搬送路側に移送される紙幣とが同時に主搬送路と台間機側の紙幣の搬送路との交差部に到着することはなく、交差部での紙幣詰まりが未然に防止される。また、紙幣は従来の如く主搬送路の手前で屈曲されることなく真っ直ぐな状態のまま主搬送路に導入されるので、この点からも交差部での紙幣詰まりがより確実に防止される。

請求項2及び3に係る発明は、いずれも請求項1記載の紙幣搬送装置の具体的形態の一例を提供するものである。すなわち、請求項2に係る発明の場合、上記主搬送装置は、その主搬送路を各台間機の紙幣送り出し口と近接する位置毎にそれぞれ1箇所で分離して複数の分割搬送路に分割し、これらの分割搬送路をそれぞれ紙幣を挟持する少なくとも一対のベルト装置により構成してなり、上記各ベルト装置は、それぞれ搬送方向両端のプーリに巻き掛けたエンドレスベルトが分割搬送路毎に独立して駆動されるようになっている。また、上記各搬送路変更装置は、対応する分割搬送路を構成する少なくとも一対のベルト装置の一方の端のプーリを共に支持しかつこのプーリの支持部側が島列方向に向く位置と台間機の紙幣送り出し口側に向く位置とに回動可能な首振り台と、この首振り台が台間機の紙幣送り出し口側に向く位置に回動する時首振り台上を移動して上記ベルト装置のエンドレスベルトを折り曲げるための中間プーリとを有してなる構成とする。

請求項3に係る発明の場合、上記主搬送装置は、その主搬送路を各台間機の紙幣送り出し口と近接する位置毎にそれぞれ2箇所で分離して複数の分割搬送路に分割し、これらの分割搬送路をそれぞれ紙幣を挟持する少なくとも一対のベルト装置により構成してなり、上記各ベルト装置は、それぞれ搬送方向両端のプーリに巻き掛けたエンドレスベルトが分割搬送路毎に独立して駆動されるようになっている。また、上記各搬送路変更装置は、台間機の紙幣送り出し口と近接する位置における主搬送路の2つの分離箇所に挟まれた間の分割搬送路を構成する少なくとも一対のベルト装置全体を支持しかつこのベルト装置が島列方向に向く位置と台間機の紙幣送り出し口側に向く位置とに回動可能な回転台を有してなる構成とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施の形態を図面に基づいて説明する。
図1及び図2は本発明の第1の実施形態に係る紙幣搬送装置を備えたスロットマシンの遊技島Aの設備全体を示す。この遊技島Aは、複数台(図では4台)のスロットマシン1,1,…を横並びに配列して1つのマシン列2を構成し、このマシン列2を2つ互いに背中合わせに配置して構成されており、各マシン列2の互いに隣接する2台のスロットマシン1,1の間及び左端のスロットマシン1の左側方にはそれぞれ台間機3が配置されている。

上記各マシン列2のスロットマシン1及び台間機3は、いずれも同一の据付け台6上に載置されており、遊技島Aの島列方向両端にはそれぞれ妻板7が垂直に立てて設けられ、この一方の妻板7の側方には島ホスト8が設置されている。この島ホスト8は紙幣回収保管部としての金庫9を内蔵している。また、各マシン列2のスロットマシン1上方には下側より順に載置棚11、ランプ板12及び幕板13が設けられており、ランプ板12には遊技者が遊技場の従業員を呼び寄せるときなどに点灯させるランプ14などが取り付けられている。

上記各台間機3は、その前面上部に上下方向に細長い紙幣投入口16を有し、この紙幣投入口16より所定の紙幣(例えば千円札)を、その短辺を垂直に立てて投入すると右隣りのスロットマシン1に対し所定枚数のメダルの払い出しなどを指令する一方、投入紙幣を背面側に設けた紙幣送り出し口(図示せず)から紙幣搬送装置20側に送り出すようになっている。

上記紙幣搬送装置20は、各台間機3の紙幣送り出し口から送り出された紙幣を全て回収して上記島ホスト8内の金庫9に搬送するもので、マシン列2の背面側でかつ台間機3の紙幣投入口16と略同じ高さ位置で島列方向に水平に延びる主搬送路21に沿って紙幣を搬送する主搬送装置22を備えている。上記主搬送路21は、その一端が妻板7を貫通して金庫9に接続されているとともに、マシン列2の島ホスト8と最も離れた台間機3を除く各台間機3の紙幣送り出し口と近接する位置毎にそれぞれ1箇所で分離して2つに分割され、図2の場合5つの分割搬送路23,23,…に分割されている。

上記各分割搬送路23は、それぞれ図3ないし図6に詳示するように、その左右側壁が上下一対ずつ計二対4つのベルト装置24,24,…により構成され、この4つのベルト装置24,24,…により紙幣wを垂直に立てた状態で上下2箇所で共に挟持して搬送するようになっている。上記各ベルト装置24は、それぞれ搬送方向両端の2つのプーリ25,26と、この2つのプーリ25,26間に巻き掛けられたエンドレスベルト27とを有している。

また、上記各分割搬送路23は、島ホスト8に最も近いものを除き、1台のスロットマシン1の幅寸法と1台の台間機3の幅寸法との加算値に略相当する長さを有しており、この分割搬送路23の左右側壁を構成する上下一対ずつ計二対4つのベルト装置24,24,…の島ホスト8側の各プーリ25は、いずれの分割搬送路23でも図4及び図5に示す如く分割搬送路23の底板31と天板32との間に垂直に設けた左右一対のプーリ軸33,33に対し左右それぞれで上下2段に回転自在に装着されている。一方、島ホスト8と反対側の各プーリ26は、島ホスト8から最も離れた分割搬送路23のものを除き、図4に示す如く首振り台36と天板37との間に垂直に設けた左右一対のプーリ軸38(一方のみ図示)に対し左右それぞれで上下2段に回転自在に装着されている。

上記首振り台36は、主搬送路21上で各台間機3の紙幣送り出し口に近接した位置に設置されたモータ41の回転軸41aに連結支持され、この回転軸41aを中心としてプーリ軸38の支持部側が島列方向に向く位置と島列方向と略直角な各台間機3の紙幣送り出し口側に向く位置とに回動可能に設けられている。この首振り台36の基部側つまり分割搬送路23の底板31との連結部側には2つのプーリ固定軸42,42と2つのプーリ移動軸43,43とが設けられ、これらのプーリ固定軸42,42及びプーリ移動軸43,43にはそれぞれ上下2つの中間プーリ45,45又は46,46が回転自在に装着されている。各プーリ固定軸42の中間プーリ45は、それぞれベルト装置24のエンドレスベルト27の外側より当接しており、各プーリ固定軸42は、首振り台36と天板37との間に垂直に立って固定されている。また、各プーリ移動軸43の中間プーリ46は、それぞれベルト装置24のエンドレスベルト27の内側より当接しており、各プーリ移動軸43の下端部にはモータ内蔵の自走台車47が設けられ、この自走台車47は、首振り台36に形成したビット48内に埋没した状態でその底面に敷設したレール49上を移動するようになっている。このような首振り台36とその上の中間プーリ45,46の支持構造とこれらの動作を制御する後述の制御部60とにより、各分割搬送路23の左右側壁を構成する上下一対ずつ計二対4つのベルト装置24,24,…の島ホスト8と反対側のプーリ26部分を、島列方向に延ばして主搬送装置22により紙幣wを搬送する位置と島列方向と略直角に折れ曲がって各台間機3の紙幣送り出し口側から紙幣wを取り込む位置とに選択的に変更する搬送路変更装置50が構成されており、この搬送路変更装置50は、マシン列2の島ホスト8と最も離れた台間機3を除く各台間機3の紙幣送り出し口と近接する位置毎に1つずつ設けられている。

さらに、上記主搬送路21の島ホスト8から最も離れた分割搬送路23を除く各分割搬送路23の中間部には、それぞれ図3に示すように、上記各搬送路変更装置50により4つのベルト装置24,24,…の島ホスト8と反対側のプーリ26部分の位置を変更する時のベルト長を調整するためのベルト長調整部51が設けられている。このベルト長調整部51は、各ベルト装置24のエンドレスベルト27をそれぞれ巻き掛ける複数の中間プーリ52,52,…と、各ベルト装置24の1つの中間プーリ52を水平移動させるアクチュエータ(図示せず)とを備え、中間プーリ52の水平移動により各ベルト装置24のエンドレスベルト27の緩みを吸収してベルト装置24の搬送方向の長さつまりベルト長を調整するようになっている。上記複数の中間プーリ52,52,…のうち、アクチュエータにより水平移動させられる中間プーリを除きかつ各ベルト装置24毎に少なくとも1つの中間プーリは、図示していないがモータに動力伝達可能に接続されていて、この中間プーリを介して各ベルト装置24のエンドレスベルト27が分割搬送路23毎に独立して駆動されるようになっている。

尚、主搬送路21の島ホスト8から最も離れた分割搬送路23の各ベルト装置24は、図2に示す如く島ホスト8と反対側のプーリ26部分が中間プーリ55により島列方向と略直角に折れ曲がって台間機3の紙幣送り出し口側に向く状態に設けられているとともに、プーリ25,26及び中間プーリ55のうちの少なくとも1つがモータ(図示せず)に動力伝達可能に接続されている。

図7は上記搬送路変更装置50の制御系の構成を示し、60は搬送路変更装置50の制御部であって、この制御部60はCPU、ROM及びRAMなどからなり、搬送路変更装置50の作動部であるモータ41及び自走台車47を制御するものである。61は搬送路変更装置50の上流側に隣接した分割搬送路23上を紙幣wが搬送されていることを検出する主搬送路センサであり、この主搬送路センサ61の検出信号は上記制御部60に入力される。この制御部60は、搬送路変更装置50と対応する1台又は2台の台間機3と信号授受可能に接続されているとともに、搬送路変更装置50の作動時(つまりベルト装置24の島ホスト8と反対側のプーリ26部分の位置を変更する時)にその作動と同期してベルト長を調整するためにベルト長調整部51に対し動作信号を出力するようになっている。

次に、上記第1の実施形態における紙幣搬送装置20の作動、特に搬送路変更装置50の首振り台36上の分割搬送路23における紙幣wの搬送(交差点の搬送)について、図8を参照しながら説明する。

通常、搬送路変更装置50の首振り台36上の分割搬送路23(詳しくは分割搬送路23を構成する各ベルト装置24の島ホスト8と反対側のプーリ26部分)である交差点搬送路は、島列方向に向いた本線位置で待機している(ステップS1)。そして、この搬送路変更装置50に隣接した上流側の分割搬送路23より紙幣wが搬送されて来たときには、首振り台36上の交差点搬送路の左右側壁を構成する上下一対ずつ計二対4つのベルト装置24,24,…により紙幣wを上下2箇所で挟持して島ホスト8側に搬送する。

上記搬送路変更装置50と対応した台間機3に紙幣wが投入されたとき(ステップS2)には、その台間機3から紙幣投入の情報を受ける搬送路変更装置50の制御部60は、先ず主搬送路センサ61の信号を基に搬送路変更装置50に隣接した上流側の分割搬送路23に紙幣wが搬送されて来ているか否かを判断する(ステップS3)。そして、紙幣wが搬送されて来ているときには、上記制御部60は台間機3に信号を出力して、紙幣wが搬送路変更装置50の首振り台36上を通過するまで台間機3内で投入紙幣を待機させる(ステップS6)。

一方、紙幣wが搬送されて来ていないときには、制御部60の制御の下に搬送路変更装置50のモータ41が作動して首振り台36が略90度回動し、この首振り台36上の交差点搬送路が台間機3の紙幣送り出し口側に向くとともに、首振り台36上の2つの自走台車47,47がそれぞれビット48内のレール49上を走行し、この両自走台車47,47に各々支持されたプーリ移動軸43,43上の4つの中間プーリ46,46,…がそれぞれ対応する4つのベルト装置24,24,…の各エンドレスベルト27を搬送方向上流側に押し出すことにより、図3に実線で示す如く首振り台36上の交差点搬送路が島列方向と略直角に折れ曲がって台間機3の紙幣送り出し口側に向く状態に変更される。この状態で台間機3の紙幣送り出し口から紙幣wが首振り台36上の交差点搬送路に受け取られ、島ホスト8側へ搬送される(ステップS4)。

しかる後、上記首振り台36が逆方向に略90度回動するとともに、首振り台36上の各自走台車47が元の位置にまで戻ることにより、首振り台36上の交差点搬送路が通常の本線位置に戻る(ステップS5)。

このように、主搬送路変更装置50によりその首振り台36上の交差点搬送路つまり主搬送路21の一部が本線位置に向く位置と台間機3の紙幣送り出し口側に向く位置とに選択的に変更されることにより、従来の紙幣搬送装置の如く主搬送路21に沿って搬送される紙幣wと台間機3側から主搬送路21側に移送される紙幣wとが同時に交差部に到着することがないので、これに起因する交差部での紙幣詰まりを未然に防止することができる。また、紙幣wは従来の如く主搬送路21の手前で屈曲されることなく真っ直ぐな状態のまま主搬送路21に導入されるので、この点からも交差部での紙幣詰まりをより確実に防止することができる。

図9及び図10は本発明の第2の実施形態に係る紙幣搬送装置70を示す。この紙幣搬送装置70は、マシン列2の背面側で島列方向に延びかつ一端が島ホスト8内の金庫9(図2参照)に接続された主搬送路71に沿って紙幣wを搬送する主搬送路72と、各台間機3の紙幣送り出し口にそれぞれ対応して配置された複数の連結搬送装置73,73,…と、上記主搬送路71上でかつ各台間機3の紙幣送り出し口と近接する位置(換言すると主搬送路71と各連結搬送装置73の搬送路である連結搬送路74の延長線とが交差する箇所)にそれぞれ配置された複数の搬送路変更装置75,…とを備えている。

上記各連結搬送装置73は、その連結搬送路74の左右側壁を構成する上下一対ずつ計二対4つのベルト装置86,86,…を備え、これらのベルト装置86,86,…により紙幣wを垂直に立てた状態で上下2箇所で共に挟持して搬送するようになっている。各ベルト装置86は、搬送方向両端の2つのプーリ87,87と、この2つのプーリ87,87間に巻き掛けられたエンドレスベルト88とを有しており、連結搬送路74の搬送方向上流側(台間機3側)及び下流側(主搬送路71側)のいずれにおいても4つのベルト装置86,86,…の各プーリ87は、連結搬送路74の底板91と天板92との間に垂直に設けた左右一対のプーリ軸93(図10では一方のみ示す)に対し左右それぞれで上下2段に回転自在に装着されている。連結搬送路74の搬送方向上流側では各プーリ軸93にモータ96が動力伝達可能に接続され、このモータ96により4つのベルト装置86,86,…が同期して駆動される。

上記主搬送路71の分割搬送路のうち、スロットマシン1の背面側の分割搬送路76でその左右側壁を構成するベルト装置78は、図示していないが、上記連結搬送路74のベルト装置86の場合と同様に、上下一対ずつ計二対4つ設けられており、これらのベルト装置78,…は、分割搬送路76毎にそれぞれ搬送方向両端の2つのプーリ80,80間に巻き掛けたエンドレスベルト82がモータ(図示せず)により独立して駆動されるようになっている。

一方、台間機3の背面側の分割搬送路77でその左右側壁を構成するベルト装置79は、上下3段に各々一対ずつ計三対6つ設けられており、これらのベルト装置79,79,…はいずれも搬送路変更装置75の回転台101上に配設されている。すなわち、ベルト装置79の搬送方向両端のいずれにおいても6つのベルト装置79,79,…の各プーリ81は、搬送路変更装置75の回転台101と天板102との間に垂直に設けた左右一対のプーリ軸103(図10では一方のみ示す)に対し左右それぞれで上下3段に回転自在に装着されており、搬送方向の一端側では各プーリ軸103にモータ106が動力伝達可能に接続され、このモータ106により6つのベルト装置79,79,…が同期して駆動される。また、回転台101上の各ベルト装置79のプーリ81は、側方から見て連結搬送装置73の各ベルト装置86のプーリ87と互い違いに位置して相互に接近し合い、紙幣wの受け渡しを容易に行い得るようになっており、この関係は分割搬送路76の各ベルト装置78のプーリ80との間でも同様になっている。

上記回転台101は、その中央部でモータ107の回転軸107aに連結支持され、このモータ107により回転台101上の各ベルト装置79が島列方向に向く位置と台間機3の紙幣送り出し口側ないし連結搬送路74側に向く位置とに回動可能に設けられている。各搬送路変更装置75は、図示していないが、上記モータ107ひいては回転台101の作動などを制御する制御部を有しており、この制御部による回転台101の回動制御は、第1の実施形態における首振り台36の回動制御の場合と同様、図8に示す交差点の搬送のフローチャートに従って行われる。

尚、本発明は上記第1及び第2の実施形態に限定されるものではなく、その他種々の形態を包含するものである。例えば上記各実施形態では、いずれも主搬送装置22,72において、その主搬送路21,71の左右側壁を上下2段に一対ずつ計二対4つ、又は上下3段に一対ずつ計三対6つのベルト装置24,78,79を有し、これらのベルト装置により紙幣wを挟持して搬送するように構成したが、本発明の主搬送装置としては、一対のベルト装置により紙幣を挟持して搬送したり、1つのベルト装置とローラとの組み合わせで紙幣を挟持して搬送したりしてもよい。
