Description
図6は、この現像スリーブ1の製造方法を説明するものである。まず、ステンレス鋼やアルミ製の平面板状基材1'を図示しない円柱形の型に押し当て、円筒形に形成する(図6(a):円筒化工程)。次に、規則的な表面パターン(第一凹凸)を、周知のフォトレジスト方式のエッチングにより形成する(第一凹凸工程)。すなわち、まず平面状ステンレス鋼製の基材上にフォトレジストとして液体又はシート状の光硬化型のレジスト層を設け、そのレジスト層上に前記形状の遮光マスク(レジストパターン)を施す(図6(b))。そして、遮光マスクが施されたレジスト層に対して露光し、硬化していない部分のレジスト層を除去する。その後、塩酸などの酸により基材を一定量侵食する(図6(c))。この際、露光により硬化していたレジスト層部分の基材は侵食を免れる。このようにして、基材上に、遮光マスクに応じた表面パターンが形成される。さらに、その表面により細かい凹凸(第二凹凸)を形成するため、サンドブラスト処理(第二凹凸処理)する(図6(d))。このようにして、実施例1や実施例2に係る現像スリーブ1を得る。なお、このサンドブラスト処理は、サンドブラスト処理のみにより現像スリーブ1表面の凹凸を形成する場合に比べて、軽微な処理で済む。
Claims (2)
- 現像剤を保持する現像スリーブであり、
板状基材の両端部を繋ぎ合わせた繋ぎ目部分を有する円筒状の現像スリーブ基材からなり、
当該現像スリーブ基材の表面の少なくとも現像領域の全体にエッチング処理することで形成された第一凹凸と、当該現像スリーブ基材の表面の少なくとも現像領域の全体にサンドブラスト処理することで形成された、前記繋ぎ目部分とそれ以外の部分の表面凹凸を同等化する、前記第一凹凸よりも小さい第二凹凸とを有することを特徴とする現像スリーブ。 - 現像剤を保持する現像スリーブの製造方法であり、
板状基材の両端部を繋ぎ合わせて繋ぎ目部分を有する円筒状の現像スリーブ基材を製造する円筒化工程と、当該現像スリーブ基材の表面の少なくとも現像領域の全体をエッチング処理することで第一凹凸を形成する第一凹凸工程と、当該現像スリーブ基材の表面の少なくとも現像領域の全体をサンドブラスト処理することで、前記繋ぎ目部分とそれ以外の部分の表面凹凸を同等化する、前記第一凹凸よりも小さい第二凹凸を形成する第二凹凸工程と、を備えることを特徴とする現像スリーブの製造方法。
