Claims (2)
- 表示パネルの表示領域を複数領域に区切り、その複数領域の境界線の交点を基準点と定め、
表示パネルに最大階調の輝度を表示して、基準点のみの輝度を測定し、その基準点のみの輝度から未測定点の輝度を補間生成し、その未測定点の輝度と基準点の輝度に基づいて、表示パネルに最大階調の輝度データが入力された場合に、表示パネルの表示輝度を補正すると共に、
表示パネルに最小階調の輝度を表示して、基準点のみの輝度を測定し、その基準点のみの輝度から未測定点の輝度を補間生成し、その未測定点の輝度と基準点の輝度に基づいて、表示パネルに最小階調の輝度データが入力された場合に、表示パネルの表示輝度を補正する画像補正方法であって、
前記表示パネルの表示輝度の補正は、前記最大階調の輝度を表示して、当該表示輝度が表示パネルの中心で一番高い場合には表示パネルの端で低くなる曲面に、
前記最小階調の輝度を表示して、前記表示輝度が前記表示パネルの中心領域で低い場合には当該表示パネルの端部領域で高くなる曲面になるよう補正することを特徴とする画像補正方法。 - 表示領域を複数領域に区切り、その複数領域の境界線の交点を基準点と定めた表示パネルと、測定した前記基準点のみの表示輝度とその輝度から補間生成した未測定点の表示輝度とに基づいてそれらの表示輝度を補正する画像処理回路とを備えた画像表示装置であって、
前記画像処理回路は、前記最大階調の輝度を表示して、前記表示輝度が前記表示パネルの中心領域で一番高い場合には当該表示パネルの端部領域で低く、かつ前記最小階調の輝度を表示して、前記表示輝度が前記表示パネルの中心領域で低い場合には当該表示パネルの端部領域で高くなるよう、前記表示パネルの中心から表示パネルの端に亘って滑らかに補正することを特徴とする画像表示装置。
