Description
なお、ここに開示される技術は、上記開口部形成部材が非金属製(例えば樹脂製)である電池にも適用され得る。このことによって、該開口部形成部材と上記電極部材との間をより確実にシール(例えば、水分の浸入を防止)して電池の品質安定性を高めるという効果が実現され得る。
また本発明は、他の側面として、ここに開示されるいずれかの電池を用意すること、および、該電池の前記露出部に金属部材を溶接すること、を包含する電源装置の製造方法を提供する。かかる方法によると、所定のシール性や絶縁性を安定して実現する電池を備えた電源装置を安定して(品質安定性よく)製造することができる。
ここに開示される電源装置は、また、上記露出部に溶接された金属部材を介して上記電池と外部回路とが接続された構成の電源装置であり得る。
なお、図2および図3には負極端子70に装着される樹脂部材40を示しているが、正極端子60に装着される樹脂部材40にも同様の形状を採用し得る。
なお、ここに開示される技術においてケースに収容される電極体は上記のような捲回タイプに限定されない。例えば複数の正極シートと複数の負極シートとをセパレータシートを挟んで交互に積層して成る積層タイプの電極体であってもよい。

Claims (7)
- 開口部を有するケースに電極体が収容された電池であって、
前記開口部に取り付けられた樹脂部材と、
前記電極体に接続された電極端子であって前記樹脂部材を貫通して前記開口部から前記ケースの外方に引き出された電極端子とを備え、
前記端子には、前記ケースの外方において前記樹脂部材からさらに突出して外部に露出した露出部が設けられており、
前記樹脂部材は、
前記端子と前記開口部の内縁とを隔てるとともに該内縁と前記端子との間を塞ぐスペーサ部と、
該樹脂部材の外方端部を構成する部分であって前記端子の表面に沿って形成された薄肉部と、
を有する、電池。 - 前記樹脂部材は前記薄肉部の内方に続いて設けられ該薄肉部よりも外周側に広がる張出部を有し、
前記張出部の薄肉部側端面には溶融樹脂の流出を堰き止め可能な窪みが形成されている、請求項1に記載の電池。 - 前記窪みは前記薄肉部の体積と同等またはそれ以上の容積を有するように形成されている、請求項2に記載の電池。
- 前記ケースの少なくとも前記開口部を形成する部材は金属製である、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の電池。
- 前記端子は、少なくとも前記樹脂部材を貫通する部分から前記露出部までの範囲が銅製である、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の電池。
- 請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の電池を用いて構築された電源装置であって、前記露出部に金属部材を溶接してなる、電源装置。
- 請求項6に記載の電源装置を備える、車両。
