本発明は、金属屋根板を用いた横葺き屋根に取付けて建築物にアクセントをもたせる化粧瓦棒に関する。

【従来の技術】
金属屋根は、比較的軽量であるため下地の骨組み構造体に加わる負荷が小さく、釘やビスを使用して簡単に結合できることから、一般家屋,公共施設等の各種建築物で使用されている。
金属屋根を用いる屋根葺では、所定のサイズに成形された単位屋根板を使用することから横葺き工法が多用されている。横葺き工法では、図1に示すように軒先側の金属屋根板1を野地板2に釘,ビス,ボルト等で固定した後、軒先側金属屋根板1の棟側にある係止突起1aに棟側金属屋根板1の係止凹部1bを噛み合わせて軒先側金属屋根板1に連結した棟側金属屋根板1を野地板2に固着する。以下、同様な作業で軒先から棟側に向けて金属屋根板1を敷設する。
横葺きしたままの金属屋根板1は、屋根一面にフラットな状態で敷き詰められているため、看者に与える印象が弱い。そこで、最近では、横葺き屋根に軒先から棟方向に延びる化粧瓦棒3を取付け、屋根にアクセントを付ける。本発明者等も、化粧瓦棒を取付けた横葺き屋根を開発しており、その一部を特開平9−195450号公報,特開平9−324506号公報等で紹介した。

横葺きした金属屋根板1は横方向に平坦な表面となるため、化粧瓦棒3の取付けには図2に示すような取付け金具4が使用される。
取付け金具4は、軒先側金属屋根板1と棟側金属屋根板1との連結部に挿し込まれる舌片4aを備えている。舌片4aと反対側で押え片4bが立ち上げられている。舌片4aにボルト4eが固着され、ボルト孔を貫通して突出するボルト4eの先端にナット4fがねじ込まれている。ナット4fを締め付けると、押え片4bは弾性変形して舌片4aに接近する。取付け金具4には左右にリベット孔4cが形成されている。

取付け金具4は、図4に示すように軒先側金属屋根板1と棟側金属屋根板1との連結部の隙間に舌片4aが挿し込まれる。舌片4aを挿し込んだ後、ボルト4eにナット4fをねじ込み、棟側金属屋根板1の軒先側端部を舌片4aと押え片4bとの間に挟み込むことにより、取付け金具4が固着される。
一方、化粧瓦棒3は、金属板を図3に示すように、断面がほぼ半円形をしており、内側に折り曲げられた内曲げ部3bは金属屋根板1,1の段差に合うように段差部3cが付けられる。
次いで、取付け金具4に覆い被さるように、化粧瓦棒3をあてがい、化粧瓦棒3の左右に形成されているリベット孔3aに取付け金具4のリベット孔4cを位置合せし、取付け金具4の左右のリベット孔4cに化粧瓦棒3をリベット止めし、金属屋根板1,1全体に化粧瓦棒3が隙間のないように取付けられる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
以上のような従来の化粧瓦棒3は、取付け金具4によって固定されるため、金属屋根板1,1の連結部ごとに取付け金具4が必要になる。このため、材料費や工数が嵩むばかりか、屋根全体が重くなり、軽くて丈夫であるはずの金属屋根のメリットを多少でも損ねることになる。逆に、取付け金具4の設置数を少なくすると、風圧等に対する強度が低くなり、取付け金具4,4の中間部で化粧瓦棒3、ひいては取付け金具4も浮き上がり易くなる。化粧瓦棒3や取付け金具4の浮き上がりによって金属屋根板1と化粧瓦棒3との間の隙間が大きくなると、見栄えが悪くなることは勿論、中空状になっている化粧瓦棒3の内部に吹き込まれた空気によって化粧瓦棒3が金属屋根板1から外れる虞れがある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、このような問題を解消すべく案出されたものであり、取付け金具による化粧瓦棒の金属屋根板への取付け位置を最小限にしても、取付け強度を損なうことのない化粧瓦棒の取付け構造を提供することを目的とする。
本発明の化粧瓦棒取付け構造は、その目的を達成するため、棟方向に長い半中空体形状をもち、段差部のある内曲げ部が棟方向に直交する断面の下部に形成された化粧瓦棒の前記内曲げ部から棟方向に突出した差込片が軒先側金属屋根板と棟側金属屋根板との間の連結部に差し込まれている。
この取付け構造に用いられる化粧瓦棒は、一枚の金属板から切出された金属切板を折り曲げ加工して成形することができる。

【実施の形態】
本発明に従った取付け構造に用いられる化粧瓦棒10は、例えば図5のような形状をもち、金属切板から半筒状に成形される。
具体的には、横葺きした金属屋根板の棟方向実効長さに一致する長さWで複数の内曲げ部11,11を底面にもつ半中空体に成形され、各内曲げ部11,11の間に金属屋根板の軒先側端部の高さhに一致する段差部15となっており、各内曲げ部11,11は該段差部15の部分で軒先方向に延長されて差込片14となっている化粧瓦棒10が使用される。軒先側中空体側壁部分には軒先側端部近傍及び棟側端部近傍又はその間の適宜の位置でリベット挿通孔12が穿設されている。

この化粧瓦棒10を、図1のような横葺きした金属屋根板の係止凹部1bにできる段差部分より少し軒側に化粧瓦棒の段差部15を位置合せし、さらに差込片14が棟側の係止凹部1bと軒側の屋根板1との間の連結部に差込まれるように化粧瓦棒10を棟側に押上げて取付けられる(図7)。化粧瓦棒10は各段差部で金属屋根に固定されるが、このままでは重力で軒側方向にずれる為、何らかの手段でズレを防止する。例えば、化粧瓦棒10全長に亘る各係止凹部1b,1bの段差のうち2ヶ所以上(図7では3段目毎)に、従来から用いられる取付け金具4を適宜取付け、リベット挿通孔12を介して化粧瓦棒10が押上げられた状態で固定される。

本発明に従った化粧瓦棒10は、金属板16を図6(a)に示すように、段差部15の線から差込片14が棟側に突出するような形状に切出し、製造される。切出された金属板16は、折り曲げ線BLに沿って折り曲げられる(b)と差込片14が内曲げ部11から棟方向に突出して形成される。次いで、金属板16を内曲げ部11が曲げられた方向に円筒状に曲げ、図5(a)のように内曲げ部11から延長して差込片14が棟側に突出している化粧瓦棒10が形成される。この為、新たな部品を必要とせず、切出される金属板16の形状を図6(a)のようにすることで折曲げ加工により容易に実施できる。
また、化粧瓦棒10が押上げられた状態で仮止めされる為、取付け金具4を取付ける等のズレ防止の施工処理をする際でも、リベット止め作業がしやすくなる。
以上では、断面半円状の化粧瓦棒を以って説明したが断面矩形や5角形の化粧瓦棒についても実施可能であることはいうまでもない。

【発明の効果】
以上に説明したように、本発明の横葺き屋根用化粧瓦棒取付け構造においては、化粧瓦棒下端の段差部で内曲げ部から延長して棟側に向かって突出して形成された差込片が、軒先側金属屋根板と棟側金属屋根板との間の連結部に挿し込まれる。この為、風圧等に対する取付け強度を保ちながら取付け金具の使用数を少なくできるため、施工が容易となり、コストの軽減,金属屋根の軽量化が可能となる。

In roof ridges using a metal roof, a horizontal roofing method is frequently used because unit roof plates formed in a predetermined size are used. In the horizontal method, as shown in FIG. 1, after fixing the eaves side metal roof plate 1 to the base plate 2 with nails, screws, bolts, etc., the eaves side metal roof plate 1 is attached to the locking projection 1a on the ridge side. The ridge side metal roof plate 1 connected to the eaves side metal roof plate 1 is fixed to the base plate 2 by engaging the locking recesses 1 b of the ridge side metal roof plate 1.
