エンドレス状の帯鋸刃を循環走行させつつ切断方向へ移動させることにより、ワークに対して切断加工を行う帯鋸盤において、
ワークを支持する基台を設け、この基台に鋸刃ハウジングを上記切断方向へ相対的に往復動可能に設け、この鋸刃ハウジングに帯鋸刃の胴部の一側面を掛け回すように支持する複数の鋸刃ホイールを回転可能に設け、更に上記鋸刃ハウジングに、切断作用を奏する部分の刃先がワークに対してほぼ垂直に指向するように帯鋸刃を循環走行可能に支持する一対の鋸刃ガイド装置を設け、各鋸刃ガイド装置は、帯鋸刃の胴部の一側面を支持する第1超硬インサートと、帯鋸刃の胴部の他側面を支持する第2超硬インサートとを対向してそれぞれ備え、各第1超硬インサートの支持面に帯鋸刃の走行方向へ延びた複数のインサート溝をそれぞれ設け、前記各鋸刃ホイールの支持周面に周方向へ延びた複数のホイール溝を設け、前記帯鋸刃の胴部の一側面における前記インサート溝を通過する部分が前記各鋸刃ホイールの支持周面に面接触で支持されるように、複数のインサート溝の位置を前記複数のホイール溝の位置に対応させて構成してなることを特徴とする帯鋸盤。
