Claims (5)
- 燃焼室内に燃料を噴射する燃料噴射弁を具備し、圧縮行程開始後、燃焼室内のガスが吸気弁を介して吸気通路内に逆流し始めた後に吸気弁を閉弁する筒内噴射式火花点火内燃機関において、噴射すべき燃料を第1の燃料噴射と第2の燃料噴射とに分割して燃料噴射を行い、圧縮行程中であって、吸気弁が開弁中に第1の燃料噴射を行うと共に吸気弁が閉弁後に第2の燃料噴射を行い、第1の燃料噴射により噴射された燃料が、燃焼室から吸気弁に向かうガス流れによって燃焼室頂部に向け偏向されるように第1の燃焼噴射時期を設定した筒内噴射式火花点火内燃機関。
- 当該内燃機関は、燃焼室内に均一な混合気を形成する均質燃焼モードで運転可能であり、均質燃焼を行うべき時には、機関負荷の増加に応じて噴射すべき燃料に対する第1の燃料噴射により噴射される燃料の割合を大きくする請求項1に記載の筒内噴射式火花点火内燃機関。
- 当該内燃機関は、燃焼室内に均一な混合気を形成する均質燃焼モードで運転可能であり、均質燃焼を行うべき時には、機関回転数の増加に応じて噴射すべき燃料に対する第1の燃料噴射により噴射される燃料の割合を小さくする請求項1に記載の筒内噴射式火花点火内燃機関。
- 当該内燃機関は、燃焼室内に均一な混合気を形成する均質燃焼モードと、点火栓近傍に混合気を形成すると共にその他の領域をそれのみでは点火栓により点火しても着火し得ない希薄な混合気により満たした弱成層燃焼モードとの間で切替運転可能であり、弱成層燃焼を行うべき時には、均質燃焼時よりも噴射すべき燃料に対する第2の燃料噴射により噴射される燃料の割合を大きくする請求項1に記載の筒内噴射式火花点火内燃機関。
- 燃料噴射弁からの燃料噴射の噴射中心軸線とピストンの中心軸線に対して垂直な平面とが成す角度が45度以上である請求項1から4のいずれか1つに記載の筒内噴射式火花点火内燃機関。
