この発明は、ビードフィラーの圧着方法及びその装置に係わり、更に詳しくは円環状のビードワイヤーの外周面上にビードフィラーを圧着させて貼付け後にビードフィラーの剥離の確認作業や修正作業を不要とし、ビードフィラーの接合部(スプライス部)の故障を減少させることが出来るビードフィラーの圧着方法及びその装置に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来、ラジアルタイヤの成形において、円環状に成形されたビードワイヤーの外周面上にビードフィラーと一般に呼称される断面略三角形状の比較的硬度の高いゴム部材を配置することが行われている。

そこで、発明者等がスプライス作業の状況を詳細に、かつ鋭意検討した結果、従来は先ずビードワイヤー上にビードフィラーの底面部を圧着してからスプライス部を、ビードワイヤー側から順にビードフィラーの外周側に向かって圧着していくため結果的にビードフィラーの外周側が伸ばされてから圧着されていることが明らかとなった。

即ち、従来のビードフィラー成形方法では、ビードフィラーの内周側と外周側の周長差による不必要な張力がビードフィラーの最も薄い外周側に集中するため、その部分のスプライスが剥がれ易かったのである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
この発明は上記目的を達成するため、この発明のビードフィラーの圧着方法は、押出し成形されたビードフィラーの両端末部近傍を左右一対の把持爪により保持し、該ビードフィラーの両端末部を引き寄せて接合させた後、該ビードフィラーを左右一対の把持爪により保持した状態でビードフィラーの底面部をビードワイヤーの外周面上に圧着することを要旨とするものである。

また、この発明のビードフィラーの圧着装置は、円環状に形成されたビードワイヤーを回転可能に支持するビードワイヤー保持装置と、ビードフィラーの端末部を貼合わせた状態でビードワイヤー上に圧着させる圧着貼付け装置とからなり、前記圧着貼付け装置は、ビードワイヤー保持装置の外周部近傍に、ビードフィラーの両端末部近傍を把持する左右一対の把持爪と、該把持爪を接近・離反させる接合手段と、両端末部が貼合わされたビードフィラーを左右一対の把持爪により保持した状態で、把持爪を介してビードフィラーの底面部をビードワイヤーの外周面上に圧着する圧着手段とで構成したことを要旨とするものである。

この発明は、上記のように円環状に形成されたビードワイヤーを回転可能に支持するビードワイヤー保持装置と、ビードフィラーの端末部を貼合わせた状態でビードワイヤー上に圧着させる圧着貼付け装置とからなり、前記圧着貼付け装置は、ビードワイヤー保持装置の外周部近傍に、ビードフィラーの両端末部近傍を把持する左右一対の把持爪と、該把持爪を接近・離反させる接合手段と、両端末部が貼合わされたビードフィラーを左右一対の把持爪により保持した状態で、把持爪を介してビードフィラーの底面部をビードワイヤーの外周面上に圧着する圧着手段とで構成し、押出し成形されたビードフィラーの両端末部近傍を左右一対の把持爪により保持し、該ビードフィラーの両端末部を引き寄せて接合させた後、該ビードフィラーを左右一対の把持爪により保持した状態でビードフィラーの底面部をビードワイヤーの外周面上に圧着するので、ビードワイヤーの外周面にビードフィラーの貼付け,圧着作業終了後における剥がれ等の不具合を減少させることが出来、作業終了後の剥がれ確認作業や修正作業を不要にでき、またタイヤ加硫工程で発生していたビードフィラー接合部分の故障を著しく減少させることが出来る効果がある。
