その上、上向き略コの字状への折り曲げ加工の場合、その折り曲げ片7が大きく露出し、外観イメージを損い商品価値を低下させたり、金属板の端部が鋭利に露出するので、清掃時に使用者が誤って負傷する可能性もあった(前者)。
そこで、図5に示すように前記本体構成体A1の下端に内向き片部8を適宜間隔をおいて折曲し、その内向き片部8に断面円形の縁部材9をレーザー溶接で取付けて、その縁部材9で本体構成体A1の補強と化粧とを兼備させている((後者)特許文献1参照)。
これによって、下端縁が角張ったイメージではなく、丸みをもった優しいイメージを使用者に与えるため、商品価値の高揚を図ることができる。

しかも、上向き略コの字状に折り曲げ加工した場合に比して小形でごつい感じを使用者に与えることもないし、内向き片部に断面円形の縁部材を溶接した場合のようにフード体とその断面円形な縁部材とが溶接の仕上がりの悪さで別体に認識されるような虞れもなく、より流麗でスマートさを惹起して高級感を与え、商品価値を高揚できる。
その上、カール部は金属円管と同様にベンダー等で曲げ加工してもその断面巻き毛形状を維持して所要の形状に折り曲げ可能であるので、平板状の金属薄板の端部に設けた状態のままその金属薄板をベンダー等で曲げ加工することによって本体構成体のコーナーに沿ってその中空部を押し潰すことなく所定の断面形状を維持して一体成形される。そのため、上向き略コの字状に折り曲げ加工した場合のように本体構成体の曲げ加工後、コーナー部分に別部材を溶接や加締等で取付けて強度を保持したり、本体構成体の曲げ加工後、内向き片部に断面円形の縁部材を溶接する必要がないので、構成部品並びに製造工程を削減し、製造コストと共に材料コストを大幅に低減することができる。
