図1を参照すれば、一般的な有機電界発光表示装置110は、走査駆動部120、データ駆動部130、データ分配部140及び画素部150を具備する。

Claims (11)
- 走査線及びデータ線に接続される複数の画素が含まれた画素部と、
前記走査線に走査信号を供給するための走査駆動部と、
外郭領域に位置されて、第1方向に形成された第1配線グループ及び第2方向に形成された第2配線グループと、
前記データ線の一側に接続された複数のトランジスタが具備されるトランジスタグループと、
前記第1配線グループに属した少なくとも一つの配線及び前記第2配線グループに属した少なくとも一つの配線に接続されるオン/オフ制御部と、
を含み、
前記オン/オフ制御部には、前記第1配線グループに属する垂直制御信号および前記第2配線グループに属した水平制御信号が入力され、
有機電界発光表示装置のマザー基板上で元板単位の検査を遂行する場合、前記垂直制御信号および前記水平制御信号によって前記画素の1つずつに対応して前記画素のオン/オフを制御するシフトクロック信号を生成する前記オン/オフ制御部を制御することで、前記画素部に含まれる特定の画素のみを選択的にターンオン/オフさせることを特徴とする有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記オン/オフ制御部は、
前記第1及び第2配線グループから供給される信号に対応して少なくとも一つのシフト制御信号を生成する制御信号生成部と、
前記制御信号生成部の出力端に接続されて前記シフト制御信号に対応して第1及び第2シフトクロック信号を生成するシフトクロック信号生成部と、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記トランジスタグループに具備されたトランジスタは、外部から供給される制御信号に対応してターンオフ状態を維持し、検査信号をオフすることを特徴とする請求項1記載の有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記データ線及び前記トランジスタグループの間に接続されて少なくとも二つの選択信号に対応して前記データ線に検査信号またはデータ信号を供給するデータ分配部と、
前記データ分配部に前記データ信号を供給するためのデータ駆動部と、
をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の有機電界発光表示装置。 - 複数の有機電界発光表示装置が形成されたマザー基板上で少なくとも一つの前記有機電界発光表示装置に対する異常有無を検査する有機電界発光表示装置の検査方法において、
同じ列に位置された前記有機電界発光表示装置に接続された第1配線グループに垂直制御信号を供給する段階と、
同じ行に位置された前記有機電界発光表示装置に接続された第2配線グループに水平制御信号を供給する段階と、
前記垂直制御信号及び水平制御信号に対応して第1及び第2シフトクロック信号を生成する段階と、
前記第1及び第2シフトクロック信号に対応して走査信号を生成する段階と、
前記第1または第2配線グループに検査信号を供給する段階と、
前記走査信号及び検査信号に対応して所定の検査のための映像を表示する段階と、
を含み、
有機電界発光表示装置のマザー基板上で元板単位の検査を遂行する場合、前記垂直制御信号および前記水平制御信号によって前記画素を1つずつオン/オフ制御する前記走査信号を生成することを特徴とする有機電界発光表示装置の検査方法。 - 前記第1及び第2シフトクロック信号を生成する段階は、
前記垂直制御信号及び前記水平制御信号に対応して少なくとも一つのシフト制御信号を生成する段階と、
前記シフト制御信号に対応して前記第1及び第2シフトクロック信号を生成する段階と、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項5記載の有機電界発光表示装置の検査方法。 - 所定の前記垂直制御信号及び水平制御信号に対応して前記有機電界発光表示装置の中で少なくとも一つの有機電界発光表示装置で映像が表示されないように制御する前記走査信号を生成することを特徴とする請求項5記載の有機電界発光表示装置の検査方法。
- 前記走査信号は、
前記少なくとも一つの有機電界発光表示装置の画素部に含まれた画素のスイッチングトランジスタをターンオフさせることを特徴とする請求項7記載の有機電界発光表示装置の検査方法。 - 前記第1または第2配線グループを通じて第1クロック信号をさらに供給してもらうことを特徴とする請求項5記載の有機電界発光表示装置の検査方法。
- 所定の前記垂直制御信号及び水平制御信号に対応して前記第1クロック信号と同じ波形を持つ第1シフトクロック信号と、
前記第1シフトクロック信号と相反した波形を持つ前記第2シフトクロック信号を生成することを特徴とする請求項9記載の有機電界発光表示装置の検査方法。 - 前記第1及び第2シフトクロック信号に対応して前記有機電界発光表示装置で所定の検査のための映像が表示されることを制御する発光制御信号を生成する段階をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項5記載の有機電界発光表示装置の検査方法。
