Description

The present invention relates to a battery housing member that houses a plurality of batteries in series.

Conventionally, for example, in a small electronic device, a dry battery is often used as a power source. Usually, one dry cell has an output voltage of 1.5V. For this reason, it is well known that a plurality of batteries are connected in series and used in accordance with the specifications of an electronic device that uses the battery. For example, what is shown in FIG. 16 of Patent Document 1 is known as an example of a battery housing part of an electronic device using four AA type dry batteries. In this case, four dry batteries are connected in series, but two rows arranged in series are arranged next to each other. In addition, in the same figure, a locking member for preventing the dry cell from falling off is provided at the upper part of each dry battery on the left side of the front row and the right side of the rear row and at the opening of the battery storage unit.

However, when the electronic device using the battery is, for example, a toy used by a child, there is a risk that something foreign matter may be unexpectedly pushed into the vicinity of the contact point between the different electrodes of the battery. If the foreign material is made of an insulating material, the connection between different batteries is hindered, so that it is temporarily impossible to supply electricity to the electronic device, and the electronic device may not be usable during that time. In addition, if the foreign object is made of a conductive material, the terminals that are not the battery terminals that should be connected are connected to each other, or the battery terminals are connected to the circuit on the board. There is a risk.

The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and has an object to prevent a failure of an electronic device by making it difficult to insert a foreign object near the contact point between different electrodes of a battery. To do.

In order to achieve this object, the battery storage member of the present invention stores a plurality of rod-shaped batteries each having different electrode terminals at both ends in the longitudinal direction in series by bringing different electrode terminals into contact with each other. In a battery housing member having a housing portion having an opening that opens in a direction intersecting the longitudinal direction and a lid that covers the opening of the housing portion so as to be openable, contact portions of the different electrode terminals of a plurality of adjacent batteries The opening is provided with a foreign matter intrusion prevention member that covers the peripheral portion including the foreign matter and prevents foreign matter from entering.

In the battery storage member of the present invention configured as described above, a plurality of rod-shaped batteries each having different electrode terminals at both ends in the longitudinal direction may be stored in series by bringing different electrode terminals into contact with each other. Further, the storage part of the battery storage member may have an opening that opens in a direction intersecting the longitudinal direction of the battery, and a lid that covers the opening so as to be openable. Furthermore, the opening may be provided with a foreign matter intrusion preventing member that covers the peripheral portion including the contact portions of the different electrode terminals of a plurality of adjacent batteries and prevents foreign matter from entering. Thereby, when the said lid | cover is open | released, it can prevent that a foreign material cannot be inserted in the contact part vicinity of the said different electrode terminal of a battery. In addition, the lid | cover which covers the opening part of the said accommodating part so that opening is possible does not remain in the lid | cover which covers only an opening part. For example, when the electronic device having the battery housing member is a small electronic device, one of the upper and lower cover members itself is a lid, and such a device is also included.

In the battery storage member of the present invention, the foreign matter intrusion prevention member may hold the battery in the storage portion so that the surface facing the battery can be prevented from being detached.

In the battery housing member of the present invention configured as described above, even when the lid is opened, the battery does not fall off without permission.

In the battery storage member of the present invention, the surface of the foreign matter intrusion prevention member facing the battery may be disposed with a gap between the surface and the battery stored in the storage unit.

In the battery housing member of the present invention configured as described above, when a battery is prevented from being attached to and detached from the opening, when the foreign matter intrusion preventing member is fixed to the opening, it can be attached to and detached from the opening. The battery can be smoothly attached / detached even when it is in a state where it is attached or when it can be opened and closed and is in a closed state.

In the battery housing member of the present invention, the foreign matter intrusion preventing member may be formed integrally with a battery housing member main body provided with the housing portion.

In the battery housing member of the present invention, the foreign matter intrusion preventing member may be formed of an elastic body.

In the battery housing member of the present invention configured as described above, when a battery is prevented from being attached to and detached from the opening, when the foreign matter intrusion preventing member is fixed to the opening, it can be attached to and detached from the opening. The battery can be smoothly attached and detached by bending the foreign matter intrusion prevention member even when the battery is in a mounted state or when it can be opened and closed and closed. Further, since the foreign matter intrusion preventing member is not normally deformed, it is possible to prevent the battery from falling off.

Moreover, the battery storage member of this invention may be comprised so that the said foreign material penetration | invasion prevention member can be attached or detached with respect to a battery storage member main body.

In the battery housing member of the present invention configured as described above, the battery can be smoothly attached and detached by removing the foreign matter intrusion preventing member when attaching and detaching the battery from the opening.

Moreover, the battery storage member of this invention may be comprised so that a base end part is supported by the said battery storage member main body, and an open end part can be opened and closed centering | focusing on the said base end part.

In the battery storage member of the present invention configured as described above, the battery can be smoothly attached / detached by performing the operation with the foreign matter intrusion prevention member opened when the battery is attached / detached from the opening.

Further, the battery storage member of the present invention stores the plurality of rod-shaped batteries in series in the storage portion over a plurality of rows, and the foreign matter intrusion prevention member is configured to store the plurality of adjacent batteries in the plurality of rows. You may cover the peripheral part including the contact part of a different electrode terminal.

In the battery storage member of the present invention configured as described above, the plurality of rod-shaped batteries are stored in series in the storage section over a plurality of rows. There are a plurality of contact portions of the different electrode terminals of the adjacent batteries in the plurality of rows. At that time, the foreign matter intrusion prevention member is provided so as to cover the peripheral portion including the plurality of contact portions. Thereby, the invasion of foreign matters can be prevented more reliably.

In the battery storage member of the present invention, a plurality of adjacent foreign matter intrusion prevention members may be connected to each other.

In the battery housing member of the present invention configured as described above, the intrusion of foreign matter can be more reliably prevented by increasing the number of portions that connect the plurality of adjacent foreign matter intrusion prevention members to each other. In addition, when the foreign matter intrusion prevention member is detachable, more batteries can be attached and detached by a single detachment operation of the foreign matter intrusion prevention member. In addition, when the foreign matter intrusion preventing member can be opened and closed, more batteries can be attached and detached by a single opening and closing operation of the foreign matter intrusion preventing member. Overall, the battery can be attached and detached more smoothly.

As is clear from the above description, the battery housing member of the present invention prevents the foreign matter intrusion prevention member from entering the vicinity of the contact portion between the different electrode terminals of the plurality of batteries, thereby causing a short circuit or the like. It is possible to prevent a failure of the electronic device provided with the battery storage member. When the lid is sufficiently larger than the opening, the above-described effects can be increased with a small amount of material, and the cost can be reduced, as compared to separately providing a lid that covers only the opening.

In addition, the battery storage member of the present invention prevents the battery from falling off, so that, for example, even if an infant treats an electronic device as a toy equipped with the battery storage member somewhat roughly and applies an impact, the battery unexpectedly drops off. In addition to this, it is possible to prevent troubles such as power supply interruption and loss of memory contents.

In addition, the battery housing member of the present invention normally has a foreign matter intrusion prevention member in the way when the battery is attached / detached from the opening, but the foreign matter intrusion prevention member is opened by providing the gap. If it is fixed to the battery, the battery can be smoothly attached and detached with a small number of parts without complicating the structure of the foreign matter intrusion prevention member. In addition, when the foreign matter intrusion prevention member can be attached to and detached from the opening or can be opened and closed, the battery can be attached and detached even when the foreign matter intrusion prevention member is attached or closed. Therefore, the work required for battery replacement can be simplified.

In addition, the battery housing member of the present invention can be simplified in the manufacturing process by being molded integrally with the member around the opening. In addition, the rigidity of the foreign matter intrusion preventing member can be increased and it is difficult to be damaged when an impact is applied.

Further, the battery housing member of the present invention can be attached and detached from the opening, and is effective in preventing the battery from falling off.

Moreover, since the battery storage member of the present invention is detachable, the battery can be smoothly attached and detached.

Further, since the battery housing member of the present invention can be opened and closed, the battery can be smoothly attached and detached.

In addition, the battery storage member of the present invention can more reliably prevent foreign matter from entering a specific row than covering the peripheral portion including the contact portions of the different electrode terminals of a plurality of adjacent batteries. .

Further, the battery housing member of the present invention can reduce the number of parts and simplify the work in the manufacturing process.

Hereinafter, an embodiment in which a battery housing member of the present invention is applied to a tape printer will be described with reference to the drawings.

As shown in FIG. 3, a battery storage portion 29 that can store a plurality of (four) dry batteries 28 is formed on the lower surface of the base frame 2 so as to approach the front side. Further, a cassette storage section 27 for storing a tape cassette 26 in which a long thermal tape to be printed is stored is provided in a space formed between the base frame 2 and the lower cover 3 and closer to the rear side. ing. A tape cassette 26 is disposed below the rear dry battery 28 (on the right side in FIG. 3) so as to cover a part of the rear dry battery 28 from below.

Moreover, as shown in FIG. 4, in this embodiment, the four dry batteries 28 are housed in series two by two. A foreign matter intrusion prevention member 34 that covers the contacts connected in series and the vicinity of the dry battery around the contacts and prevents foreign matters from being inserted in the vicinity of the contacts is provided for each contact. On the left side (right side of the paper in FIG. 4) of the battery housing portion 29, a semicircular recess 29A in bottom view is formed so as to communicate with the battery housing portion 29 so that fingers can be inserted when removing the battery. Yes. The foreign matter intrusion prevention member 34 is disposed close to the outer peripheral surface of the dry battery 28 housed in the battery housing portion 29, thereby fulfilling the function of preventing the dry battery 28 from falling off.

Returning to FIG. On the back side of the lower cover 3, a plurality of ribs 32, 33 are brought into contact with or close to the respective dry batteries 28 and the foreign matter intrusion prevention member 34 to prevent the dry batteries 28 from falling off when an impact is applied to the tape printer 1. Is provided. Further, a control board for supporting the control circuit unit, a gear train, and a platen roller for feeding tape are rotationally driven on the upper surface of the base frame 2 by utilizing the space between the upper cover 4 and the control circuit section. A drive motor and the like (both not shown) are provided.

In the tape printer 1, a thermal head (not shown) is provided at a position facing the platen roller. As is well known, characters and images are sequentially formed on a tape, which is a printing medium, by a heat generating action of a thermal head based on print data and a conveying action by a platen roller.

FIG. 5 is an enlarged cross-sectional view in which unnecessary portions for explanation are omitted from the cross-sectional view taken along the line WW in FIG. As shown in FIG. 5, the base frame 2 and the foreign matter intrusion prevention member 34 are integrally formed of a highly rigid plastic material such as high impact modified polystyrene. Further, a vertical gap h is provided between the lower peripheral surface of the dry battery 28 in the state in which it is stored in the battery storage portion 29 and the inner upper surface of the foreign matter intrusion prevention member 34 facing it.

FIG. 6 is an enlarged cross-sectional view taken along the line XX in FIG. 4 and shows how the dry battery 28 is attached and detached. As shown in FIG. 6, in order to remove the dry battery 28 on the front side (lower side of the paper), a finger is inserted into the recess 29A so that the front side (lower side of the paper side) of the dry battery 28 is scraped. The front side (lower side of the paper) of the dry battery 28 is allowed to escape from the battery housing portion 29 while a part of the rear side (upper side of the paper surface) is in contact with the bottom surface of the battery housing portion 29. The dry battery 28 can take this posture between the lower peripheral surface of the dry battery 28 stored in the battery storage portion 29 and the inner upper surface of the foreign matter intrusion prevention member 34 facing the dry battery 28 as shown in FIG. This is because the vertical gap h is provided. The dry battery 28, one end of which is taken out of the battery housing 29, can be removed by moving it downward (rightward on the paper). Next, the dry battery 28 on the rear side (upper side of the paper) is once slid to the position where the dry battery 28 on the front side (lower side of the paper) was present. Thereafter, the dry battery 28 on the rear side (upper side of the paper) is removed in the same procedure as the dry battery 28 on the front side (lower side of the paper).

When the dry battery 28 is attached to the battery housing 29, the reverse procedure is taken. As shown in FIG. 6, first, the rear battery (upper side of the paper) 28 is mounted. At that time, a part of the rear side surface of the dry battery 28 is brought into contact with the bottom surface of the battery storage unit 29 to thereby dry the battery. The front side of 28 (the lower side in the drawing) is projected to the outside of the battery housing portion 29. The contact portion between the side surface on the rear side (upper side of the paper) of the dry battery 28 and the bottom surface of the battery housing portion 29 is gradually moved to the rear side (upper side of the paper surface) by pushing the dry battery 28 into the rear side (upper side of the paper surface). Eventually, the near side (lower side of the paper) of the dry battery 28 was also accommodated in the battery housing part 29, and the entire dry battery 28 was contained in the battery housing part 29. Also at this time, a gap h is provided between the lower peripheral surface of the dry battery 28 in the state of being stored in the battery storage portion 29 and the inner upper surface of the foreign matter intrusion preventing member 34 facing the dry battery 28, so (The lower side in the drawing) can be stored in the battery storage unit 29. Thereafter, the dry battery 28 contained in the battery storage unit 29 is slid and moved to the rear side (upper side of the paper) of the battery storage unit 29. Next, the dry battery 28 on the front side (lower side of the paper) is mounted, but the situation is the same as the method until the battery on the rear side (upper side of the paper) is placed on the front side (lower side of the paper) of the battery storage part 29 just before. It is.

In addition to the above embodiments, the present invention may be modified in various ways without departing from the configuration of the invention.

FIG. 7 is a drawing showing a configuration of a foreign matter intrusion prevention member according to another embodiment, and is an enlarged cross-sectional view in which unnecessary portions for explanation are omitted from the cross-sectional view corresponding to the WW line in FIG. 4. As in FIG. 5, the foreign matter intrusion prevention member 36 is formed integrally with the base frame 2, but the material is different, and in this example, it is made of an elastic material such as polyacetal resin. In addition, unlike the example shown in FIG. 5, the gap between the lower peripheral surface of the dry battery 28 stored in the battery storage unit 29 and the inner upper surface of the foreign matter intrusion prevention member 36 facing the battery cell 29 is in the vertical direction. There are no gaps, and the surfaces are in contact.

The attachment / detachment of the dry battery 28 is performed from the front side (the lower side in the drawing) of the battery storage unit 29 as in the embodiment described above with reference to FIG. By moving toward the outside of 29, the foreign matter intrusion preventing member 36 is deformed toward the outside of the battery housing portion 29 against its own elasticity. Thereby, the battery 28 can be attached to and detached from the battery storage portion 29. When the attaching / detaching operation of the dry battery 28 is completed, the foreign matter intrusion preventing member 36 is restored to its original shape due to its elasticity. The foreign matter intrusion prevention member 36 is not deformed during normal use, and supports the dry battery 28 so as to hold it in the battery housing.

8 and 9 are diagrams showing the configuration of a foreign matter intrusion prevention member according to still another embodiment. FIG. 8 corresponds to FIG. 4 and is a bottom view showing the main part with the lower cover 3 removed. As shown in FIG. 8, the foreign matter intrusion prevention member 38 has a longitudinal direction of the dry battery 28 on a pair of rotating shaft support portions 2 </ b> A provided in the vicinity of the opening portion of the battery storage portion 29 so as to face each other with the opening portion therebetween. It consists of a lid-like member provided so as to be openable and closable around a rotating shaft 39 supported in the orthogonal direction. With the foreign matter intrusion prevention member 38 closed, the contact portion of the dry battery 28 and the vicinity thereof are covered. Further, the front left and right side portions of the foreign matter intrusion prevention member 38 in the closed state and the back side surface of the base frame 2 around the opening of the battery storage portion 29 overlap each other. Magnets (not shown) are provided on the contact surfaces so as to keep the foreign matter intrusion prevention member 38 in a closed state, thereby preventing the dry batteries 28 housed in the battery housing portion 29 from falling off. It has become. In the embodiment exemplified before this, the foreign matter intrusion prevention member is provided one for each electrical contact of the dry battery, whereas in this example, the electrical contact between the two terminals is one. A foreign matter intrusion prevention member 38 is covered. As a result, when the lower cover 3 is opened, the foreign matter intrusion preventing member 38 covers the entire electrical contact and the vicinity thereof, thereby further enhancing the effect of preventing foreign matter intrusion.

FIG. 9 is an enlarged sectional view taken along line YY in FIG. The foreign matter intrusion prevention member 38 can be opened up to 90 degrees with the closed state being 0 degrees. As with the previous embodiment, the battery 28 is attached / removed on the front side (lower side of the paper) of the battery storage unit 29, but the foreign object intrusion prevention member 38 is opened so that smooth attachment / detachment is possible. It has become.

10 and 11 are views showing the configuration of a foreign matter intrusion prevention member according to still another embodiment. FIG. 10 corresponds to FIG. 4 and is a bottom view showing the main part with the lower cover 3 removed. As shown in FIG. 10, the foreign matter intrusion prevention member 40 is supported in the longitudinal direction of the dry battery 28 by a pair of rotating shaft support portions 2B provided in the vicinity of the opening portion of the battery housing portion 29 and on one side of the opening portion. It consists of a lid-like member provided to be openable and closable around a rotating shaft 41. The closed end of the foreign matter intrusion prevention member 40 and the back side surface of the base frame 2 facing the rotating shaft support portion 2B around the opening of the battery storage portion 29 overlap each other. Magnets (not shown) are provided on the contact surfaces so as to keep the foreign matter intrusion prevention member 40 in a closed state, thereby preventing the dry batteries 28 housed in the battery housing portion 29 from falling off. It has become. Also in this example, the foreign contact intrusion prevention member 40 covers the electrical contact between the two terminals, so that the foreign contact intrusion prevention member 40 completely covers the electrical contact and its vicinity when the lower cover 3 is opened. Since it is covered, the effect of preventing foreign matter intrusion is further enhanced.

FIG. 11 is an enlarged cross-sectional view in which unnecessary portions for explanation are omitted from the cross-sectional view taken along the line ZZ in FIG. The foreign matter intrusion prevention member 40 can be opened up to 90 degrees with the closed state being 0 degrees. The attachment / detachment of the dry battery 28 is performed with the foreign matter intrusion prevention member 40 open, so that the attachment / detachment can be performed smoothly.

FIG. 12 shows a configuration of a foreign matter intrusion preventing member according to still another embodiment. FIG. 12 corresponds to FIG. 4 and is a bottom view with the lower cover 3 removed. As shown in FIG. 12, one row of two dry batteries 28 connected in series is stored in the battery storage portion 29. A foreign matter intrusion prevention member 42 is provided so as to cover the contact point between the terminals of the two dry batteries 28 and the vicinity thereof. The foreign matter intrusion prevention member 42 is formed integrally with the base frame 2 by the same material as that of the first embodiment. Further, the foreign matter intrusion preventing member 42 is disposed so as to cross the opening of the battery housing portion 29 in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the dry battery 28. Similar to the first embodiment, there is a structure in which a gap is provided between the lower peripheral surface of the dry battery 28 and the inner upper surface of the foreign matter intrusion prevention member 42 facing it. In this way, foreign matter is prevented from entering.

In the above example, the number of series of dry batteries connected in series is 1 to 2, but there may be 3 or more multiple rows regardless.

The foreign matter intrusion prevention member is not limited to one fixed to the base frame 2 or configured to be openable / closable, but may be configured to be detachable. In this case, the foreign matter intrusion prevention member has, for example, a rectangular flat plate shape as shown in FIG. 10, and, for example, a magnet is provided at a contact portion between both ends in the longitudinal direction and the back side surface of the base frame 2. Thus, both are detachably adsorbed, or a so-called detachable coupling tape is provided so that both are detachably joined. When the battery 28 is attached or detached, the foreign matter intrusion prevention member may be detached from the base frame.
