さらにまた、本発明の掘り込み式取っ手や外装部材、筐体の構成は、画像形成装置以外の装置にも利用することができ、比較的大型で重量のある装置でも、運搬や移動がしやすくなり、運搬や移動時の安全性を向上することができる。

前記外装部材の取っ手部の裏面側上部に対向する位置に配設され前記構造体のフレームに固定される補強材を設けるとともに、前記取っ手部の裏面側上部に前記補強材に掛合されるリブを設け
前記補強材は、前記外装部材の取っ手部の上部にかかる上方向の荷重を受けるとともに、前記取っ手部の裏面側上部に設けたリブとの掛合により前記取っ手部にかかる横方向の荷重を受けるようにし、
且つ前記外装部材の取っ手部の上方の裏面側には、前記構造体のフレーム側に設けた掛止孔に掛合される位置決め用の引っ掛け突起を有することを特徴とする筐体
