Description
、このソリッドステート放射源の配列は、近赤外線を含めた赤外線(IR)の波長帯域の放射を行う光放射源とスミレ/青色光の波長帯域の放射を行う光放射源を含む。典型的には、ソリッドステート放射源は、発光ダイオード(LED)及びレーザーダイオードより成る一群の光放射源から選択される。或る開示実施例においては、第1の光放射源は、GaAsダイオード及びGaAlAsダイオードの少なくとも一つを含み、一方、第2の光放射源は、GaNダイオード、SiNダイオード、InSiNダイオード及びSiCダイオードの少なくとも一つを含む。
付加的には又は代替的には、少なくとも1個の光放射源は、少なくとも1個の光放射源によって照射される皮膚を冷却するための強制空冷装置を備える。さらに付加的には又は代替的には、少なくとも1個の光放射源は、皮膚に接触して設置するのに適している。
この波長範囲の放射の吸収が、ヘモグロビンのNO(窒素酸化物)放出を生起し、このNOが次に血管壁に吸収されて血管壁拡張を生起すると信じられている。血液中でのNOの寿命は、概ね10秒である。したがって、ラジエータ24と26による赤外線放射の効果は局部的であり且つ一時的である。この効果の利点を利用するに、ラジエータは、スミレ/青色光照射及び赤外線放射を同時に射出してもよいし、又は、血管が膨張している間にスミレ/青色光照射が適用される程に十分に急速な連続で赤外線放射及びスミレ/青色光照射を射出してもよい。

皮膚老化、特に、皮膚への血流減少に起因する黄色みがかった皮膚を有する傾向のあるヘビースモーカーの皮膚老化。これらの患者の皮膚は、両者とも喫煙の結果に関係する、不十分な毛細血管の血液供給と慢性的潜在炎症の両方をこうむる。重汚染空気又は過度の日光への日常的な露出も同様の結果を有する。このような場合の皮膚は、可能ならばグリコール酸のようなフルート酸(fruit acids)及び他のクリームと組合せて、スミレ/青色光及び赤外線放射によって治療することができる。5乃至15の治療の1コースが皮膚疾患を目に見えるように改善するものと期待され、その後に定期的な保守治療を続けることができる。
外科手術後浮腫及び皮膚の発赤。例えば、脂肪吸引法は、目立った浮腫及び皮膚の色の変化により追従され、これは、高強度(スミレ/青色光は20mW/cm2及び赤外線放射は8mW/cm2を超える)のスミレ/青色光及び赤外線放射による少ない回数の治療によりやわらげることができる。

- 少なくともスミレ/青色光と近赤外線を含めた赤外線光(IR)との波長帯域のスペクトルの光を放射する1つの光放射源と、
該光放射源と患者の皮膚とのあいだに設けられ、紫外線を排除しつつ、前記赤外線光とスミレ/青色光の両方を同時に通過させるフィルターと、
を備えた患者の皮膚の皮膚疾患及び関連炎症を治療するための装置。 - 前記赤外線光の放射は、炎症近くの血管の膨張を生起するように選択され、前記スミレ/青色光による皮膚の照射は、血管が膨張している間において炎症に前記スミレ/青色光の照射を適用することにより成ることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記光放射源は、前記赤外線光の放射と前記スミレ/青色光の照射で皮膚を同時的に照射するに適していることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記光放射源は、前記赤外線光の放射と前記スミレ/青色光の照射で皮膚を逐次的に照射するに適していることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記赤外線光の放射は800nm−980nmの波長帯域であり、前記スミレ/青色光の照射は405nm−450nmの波長帯域であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記光放射源は、少なくとも4mW/cm2のスミレ/青色光と少なくとも1mW/cm2の赤外線光で皮膚を放射するに適していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記光放射源は、少なくとも20mW/cm2のスミレ/青色光と少なくとも9mW/cm2の赤外線光で皮膚を放射するに適していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記光放射源は、少なくとも1分の間継続して皮膚を放射するに適していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記光放射源は、パルス状にされた光により皮膚を放射するに適していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記光放射源は、金属ハロゲン化物材料を含有する放電ランプより成ることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。

該光放射源と患者の皮膚とのあいだに設けられ、赤外線を排除しつつ、前記スミレ/青色光を通過させる第二のフィルターとを備えて、スミレ/青色光のみでの選択治療ができるようにした患者の皮膚の皮膚疾患及び関連炎症を治療するための装置。 - 前記光放射源は、該光放射源によって放射される皮膚を冷却するための強制空冷装置を備えることを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記光放射源は、皮膚と接触して設置されるに適していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 光放射源はランプであって、
少なくとも部分的に透明な包囲体と、
前記包囲体内の放電を励起するように該ランプに接続された励起回路と、
前記包囲体内に含有され、前記励起回路による放電励起の際に、狭帯域405nm−420nm及び850nm−890nmの両方の放射を同時に射出するのに適した気体金属混合体であって水銀とハロゲン化ガリウムとハロゲン化セシウムとより成る該気体金属混合体を備えることを特徴とする請求項1乃至14記載の装置。 - 前記励起回路は複数の電極を備え、該複数の電極は前記包囲体内において予め定められた距離間隔をおいて分離されることを特徴とする請求項15に記載の装置。
- (a)治療の間前記光放射源を皮膚から離れた固定位置に保持するための自立支持機械固定具であって、
前記機械固定具は、前記光放射源を該固定具に作動的に固着する固着手段と前記光放射源の治療領域からの距離又は位置を調節するための調節手段を備えており、前記機械固定具の固着手段は、前記光放射源が前記光放射及び/又は光照射をしているときに前記光放射源を前記固定位置に保持する該自立支持固定具と、
(b)前記赤外線光放射及びスミレ/青色光照射の皮膚への送出に先立って前記赤外線光及びスミレ/青色光を集めて適合させるための光学システムと、
(c)前記赤外線光及びスミレ/青色光に関連するパラメータを制御するための電子手段を備える
ことを特徴とする請求項1または12に記載の装置。
