Description

Claims (10)
- 導涙機構の閉塞を最小限の外傷で治療するための装置であって、
切開する必要なく前記涙器内に挿入されることができる中空外側チューブと、
前記中空外側チューブ内に挿入される非外傷性内側ロッドであって、該非外傷性内側ロッドの遠位端は、前記装置の挿入中に外傷を減少させるために丸い形状を有し、該丸い形状の遠位端は前記装置の挿入中に前記中空外側チューブの遠位端を越えて延在している、非外傷性内側ロッドと、を具備し、
前記非外傷性内側ロッドは、前記導涙機構における一つ以上の疾病に起因する一つ以上の閉塞にわたる治療領域へと前記装置を案内し、
前記非外傷性内側ロッドは、前記装置が前記導涙機構内に挿入された後に除去されることができ、
前記閉塞を治療するための手段が、前記非外傷性内側ロッドの除去後に前記中空外側チューブを介して前記導涙機構にさらなる外傷を生じることなく挿入されることができる、ことを特徴とする装置。 - 前記中空外側チューブは、剛性または半剛性である請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記中空外側チューブおよび前記非外傷性内側ロッドは、オートクレーブ可能な金属材料から作られる請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記閉塞を治療するための前記手段は、放射線治療装置と、機械的治療装置と、電気外科的治療装置と、からなる群から選択される請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記中空外側チューブは、1mmの最大外径を有する請求項1記載の装置。
- 放射線源と、
前記放射線源に接続されて、前記導涙機構の場所に前記放射線源から排水路を形成するのに十分な放射線を送出する送出手段であって、前記装置が挿入された後及び前記非外傷性内側ロッドの除去後に、前記中空外側チューブ内に非外傷的に挿入されることができる送出手段と、
をさらに具備する請求項1記載の装置。 - 前記放射線源はレーザである請求項6記載の装置。
- 前記放射線源は、810nmおよび980nmからなる群から選択された波長で放射線を放出する請求項6記載の装置。
- 前記送出手段は、光ファイバおよび光ファイバの束からなる群から選択される請求項6記載の装置。
- 前記排水路を維持するために前記送出手段が引き抜かれた後に前記中空外側チューブ内に挿入されることができる可塑性のあるステントをさらに具備する請求項6記載の装置。
