A connector of the type disclosed in Patent Document 1 is known as this type of connector. As shown in FIG. 4 of the accompanying drawings, the connector of Patent Document 1 is provided with a large number of terminals 51, and the outer shape of the terminals is maintained while maintaining a flat surface of a metal plate, and is perpendicular to the flat surface. Arranged in the direction. In the figure, the terminal 51 has an upper arm 52 and a lower arm 53 that are long in the lateral direction and parallel to each other.
These arms are connected by a connecting portion 54 at an intermediate position to form a substantially “e” shape. The lower arm 53 is in contact with the bottom wall 56 of the housing 55, and one end portion 57 of the lower arm 53 is engaged with and fixed to the housing 55. The other end is outside the housing and forms a connection 58 that receives the connection. The upper arm 52 is elastically displaceable with the connecting portion 54 as a fulcrum. The upper arm 52 has a contact portion 52A on one end side and contacts the corresponding contact portion 53A of the lower arm 53 by pressing the flat cable P. (See FIG. 4B). Further, at the other end, a movable member 59 is shown in FIG.
The corner 52 that receives the force from the movable member 59 by rotating from the state shown in FIG.
B, and by this force, the entire upper arm is displaced so as to tilt with the connecting portion 54 as a fulcrum based on the principle of the lever, thereby pressing the contact portion 52A against the cable.

This type of connector is not so limited in lateral dimensions, but is required to be small in the height direction, so-called low profile. In addition, in order to confirm whether or not the movable member is located at a position that provides sufficient contact pressure between the flat cable and the terminal, a sufficient click feeling can be obtained when the movable member is rotated. It is also required.

Since the movement of the contact position with the movable member changes abruptly when the two straight portions on one side and the other side forming the corner portion 52B formed on the upper arm 52 of the terminal have a larger angle, the click feeling is changed. large. When this angle is increased, one side is fixed in the longitudinal direction of the upper arm, so the other side must be set so as to be greatly inclined with respect to the one side. Therefore, the other side is inclined with a large height in the height direction, and the height dimension of the upper arm 52 is increased in order to secure a necessary length. This increases the height dimension of the terminal 51 and goes against the reduction in the height of the connector. Further, since the other side extends linearly, the pressing force to the upper arm is suddenly reduced after the contact position with the movable member 59 exceeds the apex of the corner 52B that forms the boundary between the one side and the other side. Therefore, the contact pressure with the cable at the contact portion 52A is not sufficient.

In other words, if this contact pressure is sufficiently secured, the height can be reduced, but the angle at the corner is not sufficient, and a large click feeling cannot be obtained.

In view of such circumstances, the present invention is for a flat cable capable of reducing the height and obtaining a sufficient click feeling and maintaining a large contact pressure to the terminal cable after obtaining the click feeling. An object is to provide an electrical connector.

An electrical connector for a flat cable according to the present invention includes a plurality of terminals obtained by externalizing the metal plate while maintaining a flat plate surface of the metal plate, and the plurality of terminals perpendicular to the plate surface. And a movable member movable with rotation between an open position and a closed position, and the terminals extend parallel to each other in the insertion direction of the flat cable, and are intermediate in the longitudinal direction. The movable member has a cam part that contacts the hooked arm part and the fixed arm part in the closed position, and the hooked arm part is A pressing portion for pressing the flat cable on one end side, and a pressure receiving portion for receiving a force from the cam portion of the movable member when the movable member is moved to the closed position on the other end side are fixed. The arm portion has a support edge at the edge facing the pressure receiving portion, and the saddle-shaped arm portion receives pressure at the pressure receiving portion. More bring the contact pressure between the contact portion and the flat cable cause elastic displacement receiving pressure section plate surface of the terminal and the same plane the connecting portion as a fulcrum.

In such an electrical connector for a flat cable, according to the present invention, the cam portion of the movable member is on the support edge of the fixed arm portion of the terminal when the movable member is in the open position, Is a non-contact type, allows the insertion of a flat cable on the contact part side, has a shape that presses the pressure receiving part when in the closed position, and the support edge of the fixed arm part is a straight part extending in the longitudinal direction. A concave bent portion that is submerged from the straight portion, and the concave bent portion is provided at a position in the longitudinal direction so as to face the pressure receiving portion of the hook-shaped arm portion, and the movable member is opened. The cam portion is supported only by the straight portion when in the position, and is supported by the concavely bent portion when in the closed position.

In the present invention having such a configuration, while the movable member moves to the closed position, the cam portion presses the pressure receiving portion formed on the bowl-shaped arm portion while being supported on the linear portion of the support edge of the fixed arm portion, At that time, the maximum pressure is generated when the contact position is the convex portion of the pressure receiving portion. After that, a large click feeling is obtained with a steep slope in the front half of the concave portion following the convex portion. In the closed position of the movable member, the cam portion is accommodated in the concave bent portion of the support edge of the fixed arm portion, and reaches the concave second half portion of the pressure receiving portion with respect to the saddle-shaped arm portion, and the second half concave portion is inclined. Reduced and reversely tilted to maintain under high pressure.

In the present invention, the pressure receiving portion of the hook-shaped arm portion has a convex portion and a concave portion connected to the convex portion, and the cam portion moves the convex portion during the movement of the movable member to the closed position. It is preferable that the maximum pressure receiving pressure is applied to the pressure receiving portion, and the cam portion is accommodated in the recess while maintaining the pressure receiving pressure lower than the maximum pressure receiving when reaching the closed position.

As described above, according to the present invention, when the movable member reaches the closed position, the cam portion fits in the concave portion of the pressure receiving portion of the hook-shaped arm portion and the concave bent portion of the support edge of the fixed arm portion. The position and posture of the cam part are stabilized. Further, in the present invention, after the cam portion of the movable member gives the maximum pressure receiving pressure to the pressure receiving portion formed on the hook arm portion of the terminal, the pressure receiving portion is greatly inclined from the convex portion to the concave first half. If this is the case, a large click feeling can be obtained here, and the inclination is reversed in the latter half of the recess, and the movable member can be rotated at a fixed position, so that the pressure receiving pressure can be maintained at a large value and the terminal. Ensuring sufficient contact pressure with other cables.

Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3 of the accompanying drawings.

The connector of this embodiment configured as described above is assembled and used in the following manner.
(1) First, the terminal 20 is assembled into the housing 10. Each terminal 20 is inserted into the terminal receiving hole 11 of the housing 10 from the right opening side toward the left. As the insertion proceeds, the fixing portion 22B of the terminal 20 is press-fitted between the bottom wall 10B of the housing 10 and the island-shaped portion 14, and the front edge of the connection portion 22E comes into contact with the rear end surface of the housing 10. Thus, the terminal 20 is positioned at a predetermined position and firmly held at that position.
(2) Next, the movable member 30 is assembled in the state shown in FIG. The movable member 30 is moved to the left so that the right portion of the hook-shaped arm portion 21 of the terminal 20 enters the groove portion 31 of the movable member 30. The movable member 30 has a cam portion 33 with a terminal 20.
It fits in the concave portion between the stopper portion 22C and the concave bent portion 22D. In the open position of FIG. 1, the cam portion 33 is still in a non-contact state with the concavely bent portion 22D. Thus, the assembly of the connector is completed.
(3) Such a connector is brought on a predetermined circuit board (not shown) in use. The connection portion 22E of the terminal 20 is connected to the corresponding circuit portion by solder or the like, and the connector itself is fixed to the circuit board by a reinforcing metal fitting, a screw, or the like in the housing or the like.
(4) Next, a flat cable C, for example, a flexible board is inserted into the cable insertion space 1 from the left.
After that, as shown in FIG. 2, the movable member is rotated clockwise toward the closed position. When the movable member 30 is rotated, the cam portion 33 is changed from the horizontal posture in FIG. 1 to the vertical posture in FIG. 2, whereby the terminal 20 is moved upward by the convex portion 21D forming a part of the pressure receiving portion. When pressed, the hook-shaped arm portion 21 is inclined and displaced upward at a portion on the right side of the connecting portion 23. Therefore, according to the lever principle, the hook-like arm portion 21 is tilted and displaced downward G by using the connecting portion 23 as a fulcrum. Therefore, the flat cable C inserted between the pressing portion 21 </ b> A formed on the hook-shaped arm portion 21 of the terminal 20 and the contact portion 22 </ b> A formed on the fixed arm portion 22 is connected to the pressing portion of the hook-shaped arm portion 21. It is pressed downward by 21A, and as a result, is pressed between the pressing portion 21A and the contact portion 22A of the fixed arm portion 22. If the flat cable C has a connection surface on the lower surface, it is electrically contacted with the terminal by the contact portion 22A, and if it has a connection surface on the upper surface, it is connected by the pressing portion 21A. Of course, if both sides have connection surfaces, they are connected by both portions 21A and 22A.
(5) During the rotational movement of the movable member 30, the pressure at the pressure receiving portion of the terminal 20 is compared with the convex portion 21D where the cam portion 33 forms the boundary between the lower edge straight portion of the bowl-shaped arm portion 21 and the concave portion 21B. The maximum value is when touching.
(6) Further, when the flexible member 30 is rotated, as shown in FIG. 3, the cam portion 33 is removed from the convex portion 21D and fits into the concave portion 21B. At the time of transition from the convex portion 21D to the concave portion 21B, the inlet side of the concave portion 21B has a steep slope, so that the pressure received at the terminal is drastically reduced. Even if the cam portion 33 fits in the recess 21, the cam portion 33
Comes into contact with the outlet side of the recessed portion 21B inclined in the reverse direction, and the bowl-shaped bay portion 21 is moved into the recessed portion 21.
Therefore, the clamping force of the flat cable C is sufficiently secured. Further, in this state, the concave portion 21B has an opposite slope on the inlet side and the outlet side of the concave portion 21B, so that the cam portion 33 is stably positioned, and the movable member can be moved even if it receives an inadvertent external force. 30
Is prevented from coming to the right. The terminal stopper 22C restricts the movement to the left. At the end of the rotation, the lower portion of the cam portion 33 is accommodated in the concave bent portion 22D, and the position thereof is stable.
