本発明は、プレミアム商品、おまけ等のトレーディングカード等に用いる印刷物で、特に立体感と共に、金属光沢を有する印刷物に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来より、紙やアルミ箔等を貼り合わせた基材上に絵柄印刷層を設け、この絵柄印刷層の一部に透明な紫外線硬化型の樹脂印刷層(盛り上げ印刷)を設け、立体感を有するトレーディングカード等に用いる印刷物が知られている。
また、印刷物の絵柄印刷層上の一部領域に箔押ししたもの、凹部や一部に金属箔等を転写したものも知られている。また、絵柄層上に箔押しと同時に箔押し部を浮き上げて立体感を設けた印刷物もある。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、前述した透明な紫外線硬化型の樹脂印刷層(盛り上げ印刷)を設けた印刷物は立体感はあるが、目立つようにする等の意匠性に欠けている。また、絵柄印刷層上の一部領域に箔押ししたもの、凹部や一部に金属箔等を転写したものは、絵柄層、金属箔等により美匠性を有するが平面的で立体感に欠けている。さらに、箔押し部を浮き上げて立体感を設けた印刷物においては、グリーティングカード等に使用されているが、使用中に浮き上げた部分が伸びて凹んでしまい立体感が無くなる等の問題があった。

そこで本発明は、上記の問題を解決するためになされたもので、トレーディングカード等に用いる印刷物で、高級感を有する意匠性や美匠性に優れた金属光沢を有する印刷物を安価に提供するものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明に於いて上記目的を達成するために、基材上に絵柄印刷層と、この絵柄印刷層の一部領域に紫外線硬化型(UV)樹脂による盛り上げ印刷層を設け、該絵柄印刷層及び該盛り上げ印刷部を設けた該基材上における該盛り上げ印刷部の側面を含む全面のみに選択的に金属箔を設けたことを特徴とする金属光沢を有する印刷物である。

また、前記盛り上げ印刷部は、スクリーン印刷の盛り上げ印刷或いはデコレーション印刷によりに設けたことを特徴とするものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明は、基材上に絵柄印刷層と、この絵柄印刷層の一部領域に紫外線硬貨型(UV)樹脂による盛り上げ印刷部を設け、該絵柄印刷層及び該盛り上げ印刷部を設けた該基材上における該盛り上げ印刷部の側面を含む全面のみに選択的に金属箔を設けたことを特徴とし、さらに金属箔上に透明な保護層を設けてもよい。

【実施例】
以下、図に基づき本発明を詳細に説明する。
図1は、本発明の一実施例における金属光沢を有する印刷物を断面で表した説明図である。
図に示すように、金属光沢を有する印刷物(10)は、基材(11)、絵柄印刷層(12)、紫外線硬化型(UV)樹脂による盛り上げ印刷部(13)、金属箔層(14)、透明保護層(15)により構成されるものである。

先ず、基材(11)は紙またはアルミ箔等を表面に貼り付けた物などを使用することができ、特に限定はしないが金属光沢を有する印刷物から、好ましくはアルミ箔等を表面に貼り付けた紙がよい。また、絵柄印刷層(12)の形成も紫外線硬化型インキ等を用いた通常のオフセット印刷方式でよい。また、紫外線硬化型(UV)樹脂による盛り上げ印刷部(13)は、透明な紫外線硬化型(UV)樹脂を用いてスクリーン印刷方式により盛り上げ印刷或いはデコレーション印刷を行うとよい。また、金属箔(14)は金属箔の転写シート(例えば、PET等のベース材+剥離剤+金属蒸着層)と呼ばれる一般的な金属箔の転写シートでよい。さらに、この盛り上げ印刷部(13)上には金属箔がよく接着し、剥がれないように感圧接着剤を塗布することが望ましい。

さらに、この転写した金属箔(14)上を覆うように保護層(15)を設けることで金属箔が剥がれることがなくなるので、保護層を設けることが好ましい。
なお、この保護層は印刷物全面に設けてもよい。

上記に基づき本発明における具体的な実施例を示すと、先ず、紙、アルミ箔紙等の基材(11)上に任意の絵柄印刷層(12)を印刷により設ける。次に、この絵柄印刷層の所定の箇所にスクリーン印刷法により透明な紫外線硬化型樹脂を用いて盛り上げ印刷部(13)を形成する。この盛り上げ印刷部は約200μmの厚さに印刷する。また、乾燥後、この盛り上げ印刷部(13)上に感圧接着剤を約20μmの厚さに塗布する。

次いで、前記の盛り上げ印刷部(13)全面に金属箔(14)転写シートを載せて弾性加圧、押圧することで盛り上げ印刷部上に金属箔が転写される。なお、感圧接着剤が塗布されているので金属箔はしっかりと密着することができる。
さらに、この金属箔(14)上にホットメルト等によるオーバーコート層を約1μm程度に塗布することで、金属箔の保護層(15)となり金属箔による突出した盛り上げ印刷部分が輝き、意匠性の高い印刷物が得られる。なお、このホットメルト等の材料は一般的な市販されている物でよい。

【発明の効果】
本発明は以上の構成であるから、下記に示す如き効果がある。
すなわち、従来は平面的な箔押し印刷であったが、本発明によれば盛り上げ印刷部上に弾性加圧により箔押しをすることにより、盛り上げ印刷部の正面ばかりでなく側面を含む全体に金属箔を転写することができるので、印刷物を側面から見たときでも金属光沢が見られる美匠性の高い印刷物が得られた。
また、盛り上げ印刷部全体に金属箔が覆うように転写されるので、金属箔を多量に使用したように見えるため高級感の溢れる印刷物となり、プレミア商品、トレーディングカード等に特徴を持った印刷物となる。
さらにまた、盛り上げ印刷部に感圧接着剤を塗布することにより、立体的に金属箔を押圧可能となると共に、金属箔の転写強度が上昇する。また、保護層を設けることで一層の金属箔転写の強度が得られる等の優れた効果を奏する。
