Description

【0001】

As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, engagement grooves 7 and 7 for fixing the lower ends of the fasteners 4 and 4 are formed near both corners on the diagonal line. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, the engaging grooves 7 and 7 are provided with a concave hole 7a formed in the front housing 1 and having an upper end that is open, and is opposed to the upper opening portion side of the concave hole 7a. The horizontal upper concave grooves 7b and 7b and the horizontal lower concave grooves 7c and 7c provided oppositely on the bottom side of the concave hole 7a are formed in a substantially I-shaped cross section, and one side of the front housing 1 is The stopper 4 is configured to be engaged and fixed by aligning and moving the lower end of the stopper 4 to the side wall 1a.
[0010]
The back housing 2 is configured as follows.
As shown in FIGS. 1, 3, and 5, the insertion holes 8, 8 of the stopper 4 are penetrated in the vicinity of the diagonal corners so as to coincide with the engagement grooves 7, 7 of the front housing 1. Is formed. The inner diameters of the insertion holes 8 and 8 are formed to be substantially the same as or slightly larger than the diameters of stoppers 4 and 4 described later.
[0011]
The opening side of the insertion holes 8 and 8 (the upper end opening side in FIGS. 1 and 3) is formed in the concave holes 8a and 8a having a predetermined diameter larger than the inner diameter of the insertion holes 8 and 8, Between the concave hole 8 a and the insertion hole 8, an upward engagement step portion 8 b that engages with an engagement head portion 11 of a stopper 4 described later is provided.
[0012]
The center board 3 is configured as follows.
As shown in FIG. 5, it is formed in the shape of a thick plate, and the optical connector corresponding to the fitting holes 5 and 6 of the optical connectors of both the front and back housings 1 and 2 described above is formed at the substantially central portion thereof. The fitting holes 3a are formed so as to pass through, and the insertion recesses 3b and 3b of the fasteners 4 and 4 are formed to face each other on the diagonal portions of the fitting hole 3a.
[0013]
The fasteners 4 and 4 are configured as follows.
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 3 to 5, an engaging portion 10 that is engaged with and fixed to the engaging grooves 7 and 7 of the front housing 1 described above is provided at the lower end of the columnar body 9. In addition, an engaging head 11 that engages with the engaging step portion 8a of the back housing 2 described above is integrally provided at the upper end.
[0014]
The main body 9 is formed to have a diameter that can be inserted into the insertion hole 8 of the back housing 2 and the insertion recess 3b of the center board 3 without a gap.
[0015]
As shown in FIGS. 1, 3, and 4, the engagement portion 10 is linearly cut off at the lower end of the main body 9, and the upper concave groove 7 b of the engagement groove 7 in the front housing 1 described above. A horizontal upper flange 10a that is engaged with the main body 9 and a small-diameter shaft that is coaxial with the main body 9 and that hangs downward from the lower surface of the upper flange 10a and fits into the recessed hole 7a of the engaging groove 7 described above. Formed by a portion 10b and a horizontal lower flange 10c that is connected to the lower end of the shaft portion 10b, is linearly cut out on three sides, and is engaged with the lower groove 7c of the engagement groove 7. By pushing the engaging groove 7 laterally through the side opening 7d, the stopper 4 protrudes upward with respect to the front housing 1 and is fixed in a vertical state.
[0016]
On the other hand, the engaging head 11, as best seen in FIG. 4, is formed on the side surface substantially frustoconical, it is formed smaller than the inner diameter of the insertion hole 8 of the diameter of the upper end of the aforementioned back housing 2 The lower end diameter is set larger than the inner diameter of the insertion hole 8 and substantially the same as the inner diameter of the concave hole 8a above the insertion hole 8. A downward engaging portion 11a to be engaged is formed.
[0017]
Further, the engaging head 11 is provided with a center hole 11b from its upper end to the upper part of the main body 9, and a vertically long groove 11c is formed in the diameter direction from the upper end of the engaging head 11 to the upper part of the main body 9. Thereby, the spring property of the radial direction is provided to the engaging head 11. Therefore, by pushing the stopper 4 in the axial direction into the insertion recess 3b of the center board 3 and the insertion hole 8 of the back housing 2, the tapered surface 11d of the front portion of the engaging head 11 is inserted into the insertion recess 3b and the insertion hole. When the engagement head 11 is pressed in the center direction on the inner surface of 8 and the diameter of the engagement head 11 is reduced, the engagement head 11 is inserted into the insertion recess 3 b and the insertion hole 8. When the concave hole 8a is inserted, the diameter is expanded to the original state due to the spring property, and the engaging portion 11a and the engaging stepped portion 8b are engaged with each other. The front and back housings 1 and 2 are fixed without being separated from each other.
[0018]
Further, in the upper part of the engaging head 11 and the main body 9, notches 11e and 11e are formed symmetrically on the left and right sides thereof. As a result, the engagement head 11 can be smoothly reduced in diameter and expanded, and the front and back housings 1 and 2 can be easily fixed.
[0019]
Furthermore, although not shown in the figure, the opposing distance of the longitudinal groove 11c of the engaging head 11 is formed so that the lower end is widened and gradually narrowed toward the upper end, that is, the front end of the engaging head 11 is narrowed. The stopper 4 can be easily pushed into the insertion recess 3 b of the center board 3 and the insertion hole 8 of the back housing 2. In this case, after the push-in is completed, a rod-shaped tool (not shown) is inserted into the center hole 11b of the fastener 4, and the opposing interval of the vertically long grooves 11c is pushed back.
[0020]
【The invention's effect】
Since the present invention is configured as described above, the front and back housings can be fixed easily and quickly with the center board sandwiched from both sides by a simple structure consisting of only one fastener. As a result, the assembly efficiency of the optical connector connecting adapter can be further improved.
