Description
円筒型リチウム二次電池100は、図1に示すように、電極組立体200と、上記電極組立体200と電解液とを収容する円筒型カン300と、上記円筒型カン300の上部に組立てられて上記円筒型カン300を封止し、上記電極組立体200から発生する電流を外部装置に流すキャップ組立体400とを備えて形成されている。

Claims (13)
- 電極組立体と、
前記電極組立体を収容する容器型カンと、
前記カンの開口部を封止して、その中央部が下部に突出し、突出した中央部は、電池の内部圧力によって上部に変形する安全ベントと、
電流遮断手段と前記電流遮断手段の上部に結合されるキャップアップとを備えたキャップ組立体と、
前記キャップ組立体と前記カンとの間に位置して気密を維持するガスケットとを含むリチウム二次電池において、
前記安全ベントと前記ガスケットとの間にシリコーンで形成された補助シーリング部を形成し、
さらに前記ガスケットと前記カンとの間にも前記補助シーリング部を形成することを特徴とするリチウム二次電池。 - 前記補助シーリング部は、中央に円型のホールを備えた環状の形状であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記補助シーリング部は、幅方向の外周を延長して前記ガスケットと前記キャップ組立体とが接触する部分全体にわたって形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記補助シーリング部は、接着性を有する接着層を備えた構成であることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記接着層は、両面テープであることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記両面テープの基材の材質は、シリコーンであることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記接着層は、流動性を有する無定形の接着剤が前記安全ベントと前記ガスケットとの間に挿入された後、凝固して形成されたものであることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記ガスケットの材質は、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリイミドのうちのいずれか一つであることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項7のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記キャップ組立体は、電流遮断手段とキャップアップとが一体型に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項8のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記電流遮断手段の導電層は、銅金属または銅合金で形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項9のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記導電層は、メッキ工程で形成されることを特徴とする請求項10に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記安全ベントの上部には、二次保護素子がさらに結合されていることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項11のいずれか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記二次保護素子は、樹脂と炭素粉末で形成された素子層を含むPTC素子によって形成されていることを特徴とする請求項12に記載のリチウム二次電池。
