Description
ペダルアーム3とヒンジパイプ5との結合状態を図5を参照してより詳しく見れば、ヒンジパイプ5に結合されるペダルアーム3のヒンジ溝7は車両の前方側に向けてオープンする部位の幅がヒンジパイプ5の外経より小さく形成された状態である。
参考として、図5はヒンジパイプ5とペダルアーム3との関係のみを示し、残りの構成は省略した図面である。
しかし、車両の衝突事故が発生してマスターシリンダとブースターとが車両の後方に押されながら、ブレーキペダル1を運転者側(車両の後方)に押せば、ペダルアーム3のヒンジ溝7はヒンジパイプ5から離脱する。
従って、運転者に衝突事故による衝撃力が伝達されなくなり、運転者の傷害を予防することができる。
ヒンジパイプ5と支持板9とは溶接によって結合することができ、はじめから一体化して形成しても良い。
支持板9はペダルアーム3の両側に位置し、車両の後方側に向けてオープンする複数の結合溝13を備えている。
結合部材11はボルトやリベットなどであっても良く、ペダルアーム3をヒンジパイプ5に結合した状態で、支持板9の両側からペダルアーム3に結合することができる。
従って、衝突事故時にペダルアーム3が車両の後方に押されれば、結合部材11は支持板9の結合溝13から比較的容易に離脱し、ペダルアーム3のヒンジ溝7がヒンジパイプ5から離脱することを可能にする。
参考として、図6は本発明を適用したブレーキペダル1の設置状態を示しており、ヒンジパイプ5はマウンティングブラケット17によって両端が支持された状態であり、支持板9及び結合部材11などはマウンティングブラケット17の内側に位置し、ブレーキペダル1のペダルアーム3にはブースターまたはマスターシリンダと連結するプッシュロッド19が連結されている。

Claims (2)
- ヒンジパイプと、
車両の前方側に向けてオープンする部位の幅が前記ヒンジパイプの外径より小さく形成された状態で前記ヒンジパイプに結合されるヒンジ溝を備えたペダルアームと、
前記ペダルアームの両側に位置するように前記ヒンジパイプに設けられて車両の後方側に向けてオープンする複数の結合溝を備えた2つの支持板と、
前記ペダルアームに固定されており、前記結合溝に嵌め込まれる結合部材と、
を含んで構成されたことを特徴とするブレーキペダル設置構造。 - 前記結合部材は、前記支持板の側面に密着する頭部を備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のブレーキペダル設置構造。
