該積層体から、図3(A)に示すように、罫線を側壁部罫線31Bとフランジ部罫線31Aとに分けて、底部11からフランジ部15へ向かう側壁部罫線31Bをフランジ部15手前で3mmで分断し、フランジ部罫線31Aを側壁部罫線31Bの延長線から横方向へ半分ずらして、側壁部罫線のフランジ側の分断位置と、上記フランジ部罫線の側壁側の位置が略同位置としたブランクを作成した。
該ブランクを紙絞り成形機により、PP系樹脂を内面に、図3(B)に示すようなトレー上面の四隅に丸みを付けた長方形状で、フランジ幅が7mmで、満杯容積946ccの実施例1の紙絞りトレーを作製した。
(2)蓋材13は、外側から、厚み12μmのPET/印刷層/接着剤/厚み15μmのMXD6の二軸延伸フィルム/接着剤/イージーピール性シーラントフィルム(プロピレン−エチレン共重合体(厚さ25μmのエチレン含有量7モル%)にポリエチレンを13質量%と無機充填剤として炭酸カルシウムを10質量%混練した樹脂)を順に積層した積層フィルムを所定幅にカットして巻き上げたロール状の蓋材を用意した。なお、各フィルムの間は、二液硬化型ポリウレタン系接着剤を用いてドライラミネーション法で貼り合わせた。
(評価)実施例1の紙絞りトレーへ、汁付きおでんを220gを充填した後、その上に上記蓋材を引き出して被せ、フランジ部15にリングシーラーでヒートシールし、次いで、フランジ部15の外周縁部とつまみ部を有する構成に打ち抜いてトレー包装体を得た。
紙絞りトレーのフランジ部へおでんの汁が上がることもなく、ヒートシールも問題なかった。

(評価)リングシーラーの形状を有する自動充填シール装置を用いて、ロール状の蓋材を装填し、実施例2の紙絞りトレーへ、汁付きおでんを220gを充填した後、その上に上記蓋材を引き出して被せ、フランジ部15にリングシーラーでヒートシールし、次いで、フランジ部15の外周縁部とつまみ部を有する構成に打ち抜いてトレー包装体を得た。
自動充填シール装置を用いたので、内容物が揺れたが、紙絞りトレーのフランジ部へおでんの汁が上がることもなく、ヒートシールも問題なかった。
