Description
のモニタなどとして広く用いられている。この液晶表示装置は、対向する透明基板間に液
晶が狭持されてなる液晶パネルと、液晶パネルを照明するバックライト光を発生するバッ
クライトユニットなどで構成される。また、バックライトユニットには、薄型の液晶表示装置では通常、エッジライト方式が利用される。

Claims (15)
- 液晶パネルと、この液晶パネルの裏面側に配置されたバックライトとからなる液晶表示装置において、前記液晶パネルの表示面の周縁部に防塵テープを貼り付け、前記防塵テープが、前記液晶パネルの表示面の周縁部から前記バックライトの側面を覆うようにしたことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
- 前記防塵テープが、前記液晶パネルの表示面の周縁部から前記バックライトの背面側に設けた裏面部材まで達するようにした請求項1記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記表示面の周縁部に設けた前面部材が、表側シールド板からなり、前記裏面部材が、前記バックライトの背面に設けた裏面シールド板またはこの裏面シールド板上に設けた回路基板からなる請求項2記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記防塵テープが、前記液晶パネルと前記回路基板とを接続する接続部材の表面を覆うようにした請求項3記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記防塵テープが、前記バックライトの背面に配置された前記回路基板の表面を覆うようにした請求項3または4記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記防塵テープが合成樹脂である請求項1乃至5のうちの1項に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記防塵テープの厚さが、0.05〜0.1mm程度である請求項6記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記防塵テープの合成樹脂が、PET(ポリエチレンテレフタレート)である請求項6または7記載の液晶表示装置。
- 液晶パネルと、この液晶パネルの裏面側に配置されたバックライトからなる液晶表示装置の防塵方法において、前記液晶パネルの表示面の周縁部に防塵テープを貼り付け、前記防塵テープが、前記液晶パネルの表示面の周縁部から前記バックライトの側面を覆うようにしたことを特徴とする液晶表示装置の防塵方法。
- 前記防塵テープを、前記液晶パネルの表示面の周縁部から前記バックライトの背面側に設けた裏面部材まで達するようにする請求項9記載の液晶表示装置の防塵方法。
- 前記防塵テープを、前記液晶パネルとこの液晶パネルの回路基板とを接続する接続部材の表面を覆うようにする請求項10記載の液晶表示装置の防塵方法。
- 前記防塵テープを、前記バックライトの背面に配置した前記回路基板の表面を覆うようにした請求項は11記載の液晶表示装置の防塵方法。
- 液晶パネルと、この液晶パネルの裏面側に配置されたバックライトからなる液晶表示装置の組立方法において、前記液晶パネルの表示面の周縁部に、前記液晶パネルの表示面の周縁部から前記バックライトの側面を覆う防塵テープを貼り付け、この防塵テープを貼り付けた液晶パネルと前記バックライトを重ね合わせて組立て、この組立てた液晶パネルの前面に前記表示面の周縁部となる前面部材を設けることを特徴とする液晶表示装置の組立方法。
- 前記防塵テープを、前記液晶パネルの表示面の周縁部から前記バックライトの背面側に設けた裏面部材まで達するように貼り付ける請求項13記載の液晶表示装置の組立方法。
- 前記前面部材を表側シールド板とし、前記裏面部材を裏面シールド板またはこの裏面シールド板上に設けた回路基板とする請求項14記載の液晶表示装置の組立方法。
