Description
電磁気的な照射によりコントロール可能でしかも選択的に活性化できる抗菌方法を提供するのが本発明の他の目的である。
グラム陽性およびグラム陰性の細菌の両方を殺すのに有効な方法を提供するのが本発明の他の目的である。
本発明の上記および他の目的、特徴および利点は、図面とともに以下の記述から明らかになるだろう。
〔実施例〕
いくつかの研究は、グラム陽性の細菌(例えば、Staphylococus aureus)が光力学不活性化を特に受けやすいが、一方グラム陰性の細菌(例えば、Escherichia coli、Pseudomonas aeruginosa)が、多くの普通に使用される光増感剤に対して遙かに抵抗性があることを立証している。さらに、本発明者は、さらに複雑な媒体(例えば、血液、血漿、血液の血清、唾液)中のグラム陽性およびグラム陰性の細菌細胞の両者が、また光力学的作用からさらに保護されていることを見いだした。
実験の結果は、図3、4および5に示される。

Claims (11)
- ヒトの治療域に予め選択された波長の照射を当てることによる光力学治療に用いるための抗菌性組成物であって、
光増感剤としてサフラニンOを含み、
血液の血清、血液および唾液からなる群から選ばれる複雑な媒体を含む該ヒトの治療域に導入されるためのものであり、
該複雑な媒体中の細菌を殺すためのものである、
該予め選択された波長が約500nmと約580nmとの間にある、
ことを特徴とする前記組成物。 - 該予め選択された波長が約530nmである請求項1の組成物。
- 該導入が、全身的な適用、狭い域への適用および局所的な適用からなる群から選ばれる請求項1〜2のいずれか1項の組成物。
- 該全身的な適用が静脈内注入である請求項3の組成物。
- 該狭い域への適用が、非管組織中への狭い域の注入である請求項3の組成物。
- 溶液、クリーム、ゲルおよびローションからなる群から選ばれる形である請求項1〜5のいずれか1項の組成物。
- 該照射の少なくとも約15分前に該治療域に導入されるためのものである請求項1〜6のいずれか1項の組成物。
- 該照射が、非干渉ランプおよび干渉レーザーからなる群から選ばれる照射源によりもたらされる請求項1〜7のいずれか1項の組成物。
- 該照射が、照射源に結合された少なくとも1つの光ファイバーにより達成される請求項1〜8のいずれか1項の組成物。
- 照射によりサフラニンOを活性化して反応性酸素種およびフリーラジカルを生成させるためのものである請求項1〜9のいずれか1項の組成物。
- 細菌がEscherichia coliおよびPseudomonas aeruginosaからなる群から選択される請求項1〜10のいずれか1項の組成物。
