In addition, the ultrasonic sensor 1 is the cover part 11 until it attaches to the bumper 5 as mentioned above.
Is not fixed to the sensor unit 2 and the housing unit 4, for example, Patent Document 1
Like the ultrasonic sensor described in the above, the casing formed of a synthetic resin material is already integrated with the sensor body before the casing is attached to the bumper, and the sensor body integrated with the casing is placed in front of the bumper. Some can be inserted and installed.

Incidentally, the transmission / reception surface 22 a of the ultrasonic sensor 1 as described above is exposed from the surface of the bumper 5. Therefore, the wave transmitting / receiving surface 22a is painted with the same color as the surface of the bumper 5 in order to improve the appearance. However, when the sensor unit 2, the controller unit 3 and the housing unit 4 are assembled together and then sprayed with, for example, air spray toward the wave transmitting / receiving surface 22a, the paint is applied to the exposed peripheral surface 21b of the rubber unit 21. Will stick.
Since the rubber part 21 is formed of an elastic material that is not easily associated with the paint, if the paint adheres to the peripheral surface 21b of the rubber part 21, it adheres to the peripheral surface 21b when the rubber part 21 is elastically deformed by vibration. There was a risk that the paint would peel off and damage the beauty.

Further, although different from the ultrasonic sensor 1 in that the casing is integrated with the sensor body before being attached to the bumper, the ultrasonic sensor of Patent Document 1 has two problems with respect to the problem that the above-described post-coating cannot be performed. A rubber part having a structure that can be divided into two parts is provided. However, when this rubber part structure is employed in the rubber part 21 of the ultrasonic sensor 1, the cover part 11 is not fixed to the sensor part 2 and the housing part 4 until the cover part 11 is attached to the bumper 5. There was a risk that part of 21 would fall out. Furthermore, there is a problem that the number of members of the ultrasonic sensor 1 is increased by dividing the rubber portion 21 into two.

The present invention has been made in view of the above reasons, and its purpose is to increase the number of members of the cylinder and prevent the adhesion of the paint to the rubber part while the cylinder is assembled. Hereinafter, a coating method in which the coating jig 7 as described above is attached to the ultrasonic sensor 1 for coating will be described. First, the locking pieces 7b and 7b and the convex portions 4c and 4d are opposed to each other while the rear surface of the main body portion 7a and the wave transmitting / receiving surface 22a of the ultrasonic microphone 22 are opposed to each other (see FIG. 2). Next, the peripheral surface 21b of the rubber part 21 is pressed backward against the elastic restoring force, and the ultrasonic microphone 22 is inserted into the insertion hole 8 while the rubber part 21 is bent by elastic deformation. At this time, since the groove portion 9 described above is provided in the peripheral portion of the insertion hole 8, the front end portion of the rubber portion 21 is fitted into the groove portion 9, so that the insertion hole 8 and the ultrasonic microphone 22 are mutually axially centered. It is possible to prevent the occurrence of misalignment and facilitate the insertion operation. At the same time, the locking pieces 7b and 7b slide on the upper and lower end surfaces of the ultrasonic sensor 1 while being bent outward by elastic deformation, and the convex pieces 7c are locked in the long grooves 4e. Since the elastic restoring force of the rubber part 21 is in the forward direction, the locking is not released by the backward movement of the coating jig 7.

By attaching the coating jig 7 to the ultrasonic sensor 1 in this way, the peripheral surface 21b of the rubber part 21 and the wave transmitting / receiving surface 22a of the ultrasonic microphone 22 are not substantially flush with each other as shown in FIG. Be drunk. In this state, if the paint is sprayed from the front of the coating jig 7 toward the transmission / reception surface 22a with, for example, air spray, even when the ultrasonic sensor 1 is assembled, the rubber part 21 is blocked by the main body 7a. The wave transmitting / receiving surface 22a can be painted while preventing adhesion of paint. Moreover, it is not necessary to increase the number of members unlike the rubber part described in Patent Document 1. Furthermore,
Since the concave portion 10 is provided on the front surface of the main body portion 7a, when the coating material is sprayed from the front of the coating jig 7, excess paint adhered to the concave portion 10 is ultrasonic microphone 22.
It is possible to prevent the liquid from dripping toward.

In addition, after the coating material sprayed on the transmission / reception surface 22a dries, the holding piece 7d of the coating jig 7 is used.
, 7d and are spread outward to disengage the projecting pieces 7c, 7c from the long grooves 4e, 4e, whereby the coating jig 7 can be easily detached from the ultrasonic sensor 1. Further, when the painting jig 7 is removed, the ultrasonic microphone 2 is used so far by the elastic restoring force of the rubber portion 21.
Since the peripheral surface 21b of the rubber portion 21 that has been maintained in a state that is not substantially flush with the second transmission / reception surface 22a returns to the original substantially flush state, the aesthetic appearance of the ultrasonic sensor 1 can be maintained.
