Description
電極体、電解液を挿入しないでレーザー溶接により封口したこと以外は、上記実施の形態と同様にして、実施例1に係るセルを5個作製した。
ドーム部に高低差を設けていない封口板を用いたこと以外は、上記実施例1と同様にして、比較例1に係るセルを5個作製した。封口板の形状、安全弁の形状、ドーム部の形状は、図6(a)〜(c)に示すとおりである。
なお、上記実施例では、封口板及び外装缶としてアルミニウム合金を用いたが、これに限定するものではなく、純アルミニウム・鉄・ステンレススチール等の公知の材質でも良い。
Claims (5)
- 角型外装缶と、前記角型外装缶の開口部を封口する封口板と、を備え、前記封口板に薄肉の弁体が形成され、前記弁体が、電池内部圧力が所定値以上となったときに破砕して、電池内のガスを電池外に放出する安全機構付き密閉型電池において、
前記弁体全体が、一方の封口板長軸方向端部と封口板中央との間に位置し、且つ、前記弁体が、前記封口板の短軸に平行な直線部を有する破砕補助溝と、前記破砕補助溝よりも前記封口板長軸方向端部側に位置し、電池外側に向かって突出したドーム部と、前記ドーム部の周縁に形成された破砕溝と、を備え、
前記封口板長軸方向端部から前記破砕補助溝までの直線距離をL2、前記封口板長軸方向端部から前記封口板中央までの直線距離をL1としたとき、1/5L1≦L2≦3/5L1であり、
前記ドーム部の前記封口板長軸方向端部側端部が、前記ドーム部の封口板中央側端部よりも高い位置にあることを特徴とする密閉型電池。 - 前記破砕補助溝の直線部が前記破砕溝の一部を構成することを特徴とする請求項1記載の密閉型電池。
- 前記破砕補助溝の直線部の終端点でこの終端点に連なる破砕溝の外縁に接線を引いたとき、前記直線部と当該接線との内角が90°以下であることを特徴とする請求項2記載の密閉型電池。
- 前記弁体は、更に、電池外方に突出したドーム部を前記破砕補助溝よりも封口板中央側にも有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の密閉型電池。
- 前記破砕補助溝の直線部が前記破砕溝の一部を構成しており、かつ前記直線部の終端点でこの終端点に連なる破砕溝の外縁に接線を引いたとき、前記直線部と当該接線との内角が90°以下であることを特徴とする請求項4記載の密閉型電池。
