Description
少なくとも前記弾性層に隣接する塗膜層が、紫外線硬化性の原料混合物を紫外線照射で硬化させた紫外線硬化型樹脂からなり、
前記弾性層に隣接する塗膜層の形成に用いる原料混合物が、重量平均分子量が8100以上のウレタンアクリレートオリゴマー及びアクリロイルモルホリンを含むことを特徴とする。
以下に、本発明の導電性ローラを、図を参照しながら詳細に説明する。図1は、本発明の導電性ローラの一例の断面図である。図示例の導電性ローラ1は、シャフト部材2と、該シャフト部材2の半径方向外側に配設された弾性層3と、該弾性層3の半径方向外側に配設された塗膜層4とを備える。なお、図1に示す導電性ローラ1は、塗膜層4を一層のみ有するが、本発明の導電性ローラは、塗膜層を二層以上有していてもよい。
本発明の画像形成装置は、上述した導電性ローラを備えることを特徴とする。本発明の画像形成装置は、上記導電性ローラを用いる以外、特に制限はなく、公知の方法で製造することができる。
外径6.0mmの金属シャフトを挿入した外径17.0mmのポリブチレンテレフタレート(PBT)樹脂製ローラ基材(シャフト部材)に、UA−334PZ[ウレタンアクリレートオリゴマー、新中村化学工業(株)製]70質量部、ライトアクリレートIM−A[イソミシリチルアクリレート、共栄社化学(株)製]30質量部、光重合開始剤IRGACURE651[2,2-ジメトキシ-1,2-ジフェニルエタン-1-オン、チバ・スペシャリティ・ケミカルズ(株)製]1質量部、イオン導電剤MP100[過塩素酸ナトリウムのポリオール錯塩、昭島化学工業(株)製]2質量部からなる弾性層用塗料をダイコーターにより厚さ1500μmで塗布し、窒素雰囲気下で回転させながらUV照射強度700mW/cm2で5秒間UV照射し、UV樹脂を弾性層とするローラ本体を得た。
次に、上記ローラ本体の表面に、表1及び表2に示す配合の塗膜層用塗料をロールコーターにて塗布し、UV照射強度700mW/cm2で5秒間UV照射して、表面にUV塗膜[厚さ:10μm]を有する導電性ローラを得た。得られた導電性ローラにおいて、塗膜層の破断強度及び破断伸び、弾性層と塗膜層との密着性、並びに印字耐久試験を下記の方法で測定・評価した。結果を表1及び表2に示す。
JIS法プラスチックフィルム及びシートの引張試験方法(JIS K 7127−1989)で評価した。具体的には、樹脂塗料をガラスモールド中でUV硬化させ、樹脂プレートを作製し、全長20cm、幅1〜2.5cmの短冊状に切り、サンプルとした。このサンプルについて、チャック間距離10cmとし、引っ張り試験機[(株)オリエンテック製STA−1150]にて、破断時の伸び率及び強度を記録した。
JIS法碁盤目試験(JIS K 5600−5−6:1999)で評価した。具体的には、所定の治具を用い縦横5個、合計25個の碁盤目をカミソリ[ジレット製]で切り込み、セロテープ(登録商標)を貼り付けた後、一気にセロテープをはがし、セロテープにより碁盤目が剥がれるか否かを試験し、剥れなかった碁盤目の数を数えることにより、密着性を評価した。
(a)塗膜剥れ
導電性ローラを画像形成装置に組み込み、10000枚印刷した後、導電性ローラの円周上における塗膜剥れの度合いを、目視にて下記基準で判断した。
塗膜剥れが発生しなかったものを「無し」、導電性ローラの一部で塗膜剥れが発生したものを「一部剥れ有り」、及び導電性ローラの全周にわたって塗膜剥れが発生したものを「全周剥れ」とした。
(b)ローラダメージ度合い
導電性ローラを画像形成装置に組み込み、10000枚印刷した後、導電性ローラの端部における塗膜の削れ度合いを、目視又は指触にて下記基準で評価した。
導電性ローラの端部の塗膜上に線が見えないものを「レベル1」、導電性ローラの端部の塗膜上に線が見えるが、線の上を指でなぞると引っ掛かりが無いものを「レベル2」、導電性ローラの端部の塗膜上に線が見えるが、線の上を指でなぞると引っかかるものを「レベル3」、塗膜が取れて、ローラ基材が見えるものを「レベル4」、及び塗膜が取れて、ローラ基材まで削れているものを「レベル5」とした。

Claims (5)
- シャフト部材と、該シャフト部材の半径方向外側に配設された弾性層と、該弾性層の半径方向外側に配設された一層以上の塗膜層とを備える導電性ローラにおいて、
少なくとも前記弾性層に隣接する塗膜層が、紫外線硬化性の原料混合物を紫外線照射で硬化させた紫外線硬化型樹脂からなり、
前記弾性層に隣接する塗膜層の形成に用いる原料混合物が、重量平均分子量が8100以上のウレタンアクリレートオリゴマー及びアクリロイルモルホリンを含むことを特徴とする導電性ローラ。 - 前記ウレタンアクリレートオリゴマー(オリゴマー)とアクリロイルモルホリン(モノマー)との質量比(オリゴマー/モノマー)が40/60〜75/25の範囲であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の導電性ローラ。
- 前記紫外線硬化型樹脂は、破断伸びが200%以上であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の導電性ローラ。
- 前記原料混合物が光重合開始剤を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の導電性ローラ。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の導電性ローラを備えた画像形成装置。
