既設の屋根瓦の下端部を持ち上げた際にできる間隙から挿入が可能な幅の帯板状に形成され、その先端部には、屋根瓦の上端部に係止可能なコ字状に屈曲された係止部が形成されるとともに、基端部には、係止部とは反対側で長手方向に対して直交する方向に屈曲された固定部が形成されてなる係止片と、
この係止片の固定部に固定される雪止め板と、
雪止め板から延設され、屋根瓦の下端部に係止可能なコ字状に屈曲された係止部が形成された支持片とからなり、
係止片は、係止部を屋根瓦の上端部に係止させ、固定部に雪止め板を固定した状態で、この係止部を係止させた屋根瓦の上に雪止め板を載置できる長さに形成され、かつ、係止片と支持片との合計長さが、この係止部を係止させた屋根瓦を上下から挟持固定することができる長さとなされたことを特徴とする雪止め金具。
