Claims (2)
- 交換可能ユニット・モニタ(RUM)リーダ・システムであって、
コマンドを出力するホスト・プロセッサと、
検出回路を含むカプラー・ボードと、を備え、
前記カプラー・ボードが、前記ホスト・プロセッサから1つの自動検出、自動起動又は自動選択コマンドを受信したとき、前記検出回路の働きによって、該ホスト・プロセッサからさらに別のコマンドを要求することなく、前記交換可能ユニット・モニタ(RUM)との通信を可能にするように繰り返し試みるものであり、
前記検出回路は、前記交換可能ユニット・モニタ(RUM)に対して、前記自動検出、自動起動又は自動選択に関する所定の機能を実行し、これらの機能は、前記交換可能ユニット・モニタ(RUM)が検出、起動又は選択されるまで、又は検出処理が前記ホスト・プロセッサによって終了されるまで継続されることを特徴とする交換可能ユニット・モニタ・リーダ・システム。 - 前記交換可能ユニット・モニタ(RUM)は、RFIDタグであり、前記カプラー・ボードは、前記RFIDタグを起動し、次いで、前記RFIDタグから応答があったときに前記ホスト・プロセッサに通知する機能、又は、前記RFIDタグを起動し選択し、次いで、作業が完了したときに前記ホスト・プロセッサに通知する機能の実行を繰り返し試みる請求項1に記載の交換可能ユニット・モニタ・リーダ・システム。
