Claims (4)
- 第1電極と第2電極とを備える表示装置に用いられ、該第1電極と第2電極との間に設置される表示媒体であって、
感温性溶液と、
複数の微粒子と、
を有し、
前記複数の微粒子は感温性溶液中に分散され、臨界温度より高い第1温度の場合、前記感温性溶液は液状を呈して前記微粒子を自由に移動させ、前記臨界温度より低い第2温度の場合、前記感温性溶液はゲル状を呈して前記微粒子を固定させ、且つ、前記第1温度と第2温度とは異なっており、
前記複数の微粒子は、複数の第1型微粒子と複数の第2型微粒子と複数の第3型微粒子とを含み、前記第1電極及び第2電極により提供される電界を受け、極性化自己整列現象を生じ、
各前記第1型微粒子は、前記第1電極及び第2電極により提供される第1電界の作用で極性化自己整列現象を生成するのに適し、各前記第2型微粒子は前記第1電極及び第2電極により提供される第2電界の作用で極性化自己整列現象を生成するのに適し、各前記第3型微粒子は前記第1電極及び第2電極により提供される第3電界の作用で極性化自己整列現象を生成するのに適し、
前記第1電界、第2電界及び第3電界は、それぞれ異なる第1周波数、第2周波数及び第3周波数を有することを特徴とする表示媒体。 - 前記第1型微粒子、第2型微粒子及び第3型微粒子は、それぞれ異なる色を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示媒体。
- 前記感温性溶液の材料は、ポリ(N-イソプロピルアクリルアミド)を含むことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の表示媒体。
- 前記感温性溶液は透明無色であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3の何れか1項に記載の表示媒体。
