Description

The present invention relates to artificial soil using old tatami mats.

The old tatami mats that are always generated when demolishing houses are bulky and difficult to burn, and are difficult to dispose of as waste. The consignment fee is said to be about 2000 yen per tatami mat. Many of the methods for disposal as waste materials are incineration, but there are problems such as smoke damage and global warming pollution caused by incineration. As an effective utilization method, a proposal has been made to fertilize by fermenting and ripening as in Patent Document 1, but there is a problem in terms of cost effectiveness because a special process is required.
On the other hand, rooftop greening has been performed as a means to solve environmental problems such as air pollution and heat island phenomenon in urban areas, and various proposals have been made. For example, as shown in Patent Document 2, many proposals for artificial soil are seen. However, many of them are structurally complex, and these are also problematic in terms of cost effectiveness.

In order to solve the above-described problems, the proposal of the present invention utilizes old tatami mats discarded as building waste as a material for artificial soil .

Since old tatami mats, which are originally discarded as waste materials, are used as materials for artificial soil , there is almost no material cost, and artificial soil for planting can be made very easily. It is extremely effective not only for rooftop greening but also for greening the surface of wasteland. Furthermore, when planting flowers on slopes where topsoil tends to be washed away, it has the effect of preventing topsoil from being washed away.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a perspective view for explaining the structure of artificial soil using an old tatami according to Example 1 of the present invention.
That is, holes 2 having a diameter of about 10 centimeters arranged in a checkered pattern as shown in FIG. 2 are drilled in the thickness direction on the surface of the tatami floor 1 from which the tatami surface and the cloth edge are removed. Since the tatami floor is broken and the tatami floor is disassembled, the arrangement in which the tatami floor is not disassembled, such as a checkered arrangement, is one of the requirements of the present invention. A tatami floor with holes is laid on the base 3 in a required area. In the case of rooftop greening, the ground is the surface of the rooftop that has been cured around the water, and in the case of wasteland greening, it is an appropriately flattened topsoil and is optional depending on the application. The shape of the holes is not limited to a circle, but may be a square, and the interval between checkered arrays is appropriately determined according to the type of planting. The holes arranged in a checkered pattern are filled with soil 4 such as culture soil, and the entire tatami is used as artificial soil 6. The artificial soil constructed in this way prevents the water from transpiration of the soil filled in the hole due to the water retention of the tatami floor, accepts the roots that grow as the plant grows, and integrates with the soil filled in the hole. Make up the soil.

In order to prevent the outflow of soil such as culture soil filled in the hole, it is also effective to attach a net-like outflow prevention means to the bottom of the hole as necessary as shown in FIG. It is also possible to lay crushed stones at the bottom of the wall, or to make a hole that leaves the bottom by a certain thickness without penetrating the tatami hole to the bottom.
Thus, according to the present invention, artificial soil is realized by extremely simple processing and on-site construction.
