Description
本発明は一般的に、加圧浸出および直接電解採取を使用して金属含有物質から銅およびその他の金属バリューを回収するプロセスに関する。より具体的には、本発明は金属含有物質から金属を回収するために溶媒/溶液抽出と組み合わせて微粉砕、加圧浸出および直接電解採取を使用するプロセスに関する。
銅を含有する物質、例えば銅鉱石、銅含有濃縮物およびその他の銅含有物質の湿式冶金処理は、長年にわたり定着している処理である。しかし、従来の処理技法よりも低費用で高い銅の回収率を達成できるような、銅を含有する物質から銅を、特に黄銅鉱および輝銅鉱のような硫化銅から銅を回収する効果的かつ効率的な方法が好都合である。
一般的に、本発明の種々の局面によれば、金属含有物質から銅およびその他の金属バリューを回収するプロセスには、種々の物理的コンディショニング、反応および回収プロセスが含まれる。例えば、本発明の種々の実施形態によれば、中温または高温(後述の通り定義)の加圧浸出などによる反応処理の前に金属含有物質の微粉砕を行うことにより、従来技術の金属回収プロセスよりも優れた金属バリューの回収やその他の種々の利点がもたらされる。さらに、適切なコンディショニングを行うと、中間の溶媒/溶液抽出工程を使用せずに加圧浸出生成物流からの銅の直接電解採取が可能になる。さらに溶媒/溶液抽出および電解採取作業においてさらに処理され得る電解採取による希薄電解質抽出流を使用することにより、処理流中の不純物および過剰な酸の少なくとも一部分が除去される。
本発明の種々の実施形態は、特に銅の回収およびプロセスの効率に関して、従来技術のプロセスよりも優れた有意な進歩を示す。本発明の一つの例示的実施形態によれば、銅含有物質から銅を回収するプロセスには、以下の工程、すなわち:(i)銅含有物質を含む供給流を提供する工程;(ii)制御下の微粉砕に銅含有供給流の少なくとも一部分を付す工程;(iii)銅含有供給流を加圧浸出することにより、銅を含有する溶液を得る工程;(iv)電解採取により、銅を含有する溶液からカソード銅を回収する工程;(v)溶媒/溶液抽出とその後の電解採取作業によって、銅回収工程による希薄電解質流の少なくとも一部分を処理する工程;および(vi)希薄電解質流の少なくとも一部分を加圧浸出工程に再循環させる工程が含まれる。

好ましくは、本発明によれば、加圧浸出工程の条件(温度、酸濃度)は、反応(1)と(2)の間の好都合な均衡を達成するように適切に選択されるが、銅の抽出を著しく犠牲にしない範囲で、新たな補給酸の消費、すなわち酸補給に伴う費用を低減または不要にする傾向を有する。
加圧浸出容器内の鉄濃度が上昇するにつれて、リッチ電解質流(すなわち、加圧浸出廃棄液)中の鉄濃度も上昇する。加圧浸出廃棄物中のイオンの増加は、一般的にその後の電解採取作業において電流効率の望ましくない低下をもたらす。電解採取における電圧効率の低下は、電解採取により回収される銅の単位当たりの運転費用を増大させる。

再度図1を参照すると、本発明の好ましい実施形態では、生成物流115が電解質再循環槽1060から一つ以上の従来の電解採取セルを備える電解採取回路1070に向けられる。しかし、前述の反応またはその他に従った、酸溶液からの銅の電解採取に適した、現在知られているまたは後に考案されるいかなる方法および/または装置も本発明の範囲内に含まれることが理解されるはずである。
銅を、本発明の例示的実施形態に従って、連続中温加圧浸出および直接電解採取により黄銅鉱含有濃縮物から回収した。以下の表1には、使用したプロセス条件および動作パラメータを示す。
Claims (27)
- 銅含有物質から銅を回収する方法であって、
(a)金属含有物質を含む供給流を提供する工程;
(b)前記供給流の粒径を25ミクロン未満のP80にまで低減するために前記供給流の少なくとも一部分を制御下の超微粉砕に付す工程;
(c)高温高圧下の酸化環境内で前記供給流の少なくとも一部分を浸出に付すことにより、銅含有溶液および残渣を含む生成物スラリーを得る工程;
(d)溶媒/溶液抽出技法を使用することなく前記生成物スラリーをコンディショニングすることにより、電解採取に適した銅含有溶液を得る工程であって、前記コンディショニングが一つ以上の化学処理工程および/または物理処理工程である、工程;
(e)前記銅含有溶液から銅を電解採取することにより、カソード銅および銅含有希薄電解質流を得る工程;ならびに
(f)溶媒/溶液抽出技法を使用して不純物を除去するために、前記銅含有希薄電解質流の一部分を溶媒/溶液抽出する工程
を包含する方法。 - 金属含有物質を含む供給流を提供する前記工程が、金属含有硫化物の鉱石、濃縮物または沈殿物を含む供給流を提供することを包含する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 金属含有物質を含む供給流を提供する前記工程が、黄銅鉱、輝銅鉱、斑銅鉱、銅藍、方輝銅鉱および硫砒銅鉱のうちの少なくとも一つ、またはこれらの混合物もしくは組み合わせを含む供給流を提供することを包含する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 金属含有物質を含む供給流を提供する前記工程が、黄銅鉱を含む供給流を提供することを包含する、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 金属含有物質を含む供給流を提供する前記工程が、金属含有物質を含む供給流ならびに銅および酸を含む溶液流を提供することを包含する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記供給流の少なくとも一部分を制御下の超微粉砕に付す前記工程が、前記供給流中の粒子の全てが加圧浸出の間に完全に反応するように前記供給流の粒径を低減することを包含する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記供給流の少なくとも一部分を制御下の超微粉砕に付す前記工程が、前記供給流の粒径を13〜25ミクロンのP80にまで低減することを包含する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記供給流の少なくとも一部分を制御下の超微粉砕に付す前記工程が、前記供給流の粒径を13〜25ミクロンのP98にまで低減することを包含する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記供給流の少なくとも一部分を制御下の超微粉砕に付す前記工程が、前記供給流の粒径を10ミクロン〜23ミクロンのP98にまで低減することを包含する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記供給流の少なくとも一部分を制御下の超微粉砕に付す前記工程が、前記供給流の粒径を13〜15ミクロンのP98にまで低減することを包含する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記浸出工程が、140℃〜230℃の温度および100psi〜750psiの全動作圧力にて、加圧浸出容器中で前記供給流の少なくとも一部分を浸出することを包含する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記浸出工程がさらに、前記加圧浸出容器中の酸素分圧を50psi〜250psiに維持するために前記加圧浸出容器内に酸素を注入することを包含する、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記浸出工程が、140℃〜180℃の温度および50psi〜750psiの全動作圧力にて、加圧浸出容器中で前記供給流の少なくとも一部分を浸出することを包含する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記浸出工程が、180℃〜220℃の温度および100psi〜750psiの全動作圧力にて、加圧浸出容器中で前記供給流の少なくとも一部分を浸出することを包含する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記供給流を加圧浸出する前記工程が、リグニン誘導体、オルトフェニレンジアミン、アルキルスルホネートおよびこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される界面活性剤の存在下で前記供給流を加圧浸出することを包含する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記供給流を加圧浸出する前記工程が、リグノスルホン酸カルシウムの存在下で前記供給流を加圧浸出することを包含する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記コンディショニング工程が前記生成物スラリーの少なくとも一部分を固液分離に付すことを包含し、前記金属含有溶液の少なくとも一部分が前記残渣から分離される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記コンディショニング工程がさらに、前記金属含有溶液の少なくとも一部分を一つ以上の金属含有流の少なくとも一部分と混合することにより、前記金属含有溶液中の所望の銅濃度を達成することを包含する、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記コンディショニング工程がさらに、前記金属含有溶液の少なくとも一部分を一つ以上の金属含有流の少なくとも一部分と混合することにより、前記金属含有溶液中15グラム/リットル〜80グラム/リットルの銅濃度を達成することを包含する、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 工程(d)からの金属含有溶液の一部分が工程(c)に再循環される、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記コンディショニング工程が前記生成物スラリーの少なくとも一部分を濾過に付すことを包含し、前記濾過において、前記金属含有溶液の少なくとも一部分が前記残渣から分離される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記コンディショニング工程が、前記生成物スラリー中の前記金属含有溶液から前記残渣の少なくとも一部分を分離することを包含し、前記方法がさらに工程(c)においてシーディング剤として前記残渣の少なくとも一部分を使用することを包含する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- さらに、(g)前記希薄電解質流の一部分を前記浸出工程(c)に再循環させる工程を包含する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 浸出作業中に前記希薄電解質流の一部分を使用する前記工程が、野積み浸出作業、備蓄浸出作業、バット浸出作業、槽浸出作業、加圧浸出作業またはインサイチュでの浸出作業の少なくとも一つにおいて前記希薄電解質流の一部分を使用することを包含する、請求項23に記載の方法。
- さらに、前記電解採取工程(e)による前記希薄電解質流の一部分を、前記浸出工程(c)に再循環させる工程を包含する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記浸出工程(c)からの前記生成物スラリーの一部分を前記浸出工程(c)に戻して再循環させる工程をさらに包含する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記浸出工程(c)からの前記生成物スラリーの一部分を、前記浸出工程(c)に戻して再循環させる工程、および前記電解採取工程(e)からの前記希薄電解質流の一部分を前記浸出工程(c)に再循環させる工程をさらに包含する、請求項1に記載の方法。
