Description
Claims (9)
- 装置であって、前記装置が、
PSK変調光キャリアからデータを回復させるよう構成された光受信器を含み、前記光受信器は、
第1および第2のデジタル成分を有するベクトルのシーケンスを生成するように構成された光検波器を含み、第1の成分の各々が、対応するサンプリング時間における前記変調光キャリアの第1の偏光成分の複素数値を表し、第2の成分の各々が、前記サンプリング時間における前記変調光キャリアの別の第2の偏光成分の複素数値を表すものであり、前記光受信器はさらに、
前記変調光キャリアをその光送信器から前記光受信器に送信することにより生じた偏光回転を補償するように、受信したベクトルの各々の回転を個々に実施するように構成された、前記ベクトルを受け取るように接続されたデジタル・プロセッサを備え、
前記デジタル・プロセッサが、前の回転によって生成されたベクトルの前記成分の大きさの差に比例する量だけ、前記前の回転の角度を更新することによって、前記回転についての角度を反復的に決定するように構成される、装置。 - 前記デジタル・プロセッサが、前記ベクトルの前記第1および第2の成分間の交差等化を実施せずに、前記受け取られたベクトルを回転させるように構成される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記プロセッサが、前記第1および第2の成分の振幅を等化する傾向がある形で前記回転を実施するように構成される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記光検波器が、
前記変調光キャリアと基準光キャリアとの第1の混合波を第1の出力端から出力し、前記キャリア同士の別の相対位相を有する第2の混合波を第2の出力端から出力するように構成された光ハイブリッドを備える、請求項1に記載の装置。 - 次の回転についての角度を決定するために、前記デジタルプロセッサが、最終回転の角度に、前記最終回転によって生成されたベクトルの前記成分の大きさの差に比例する補正を付加するよう構成される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 光受信器を動作させる方法であって、
一続きのサンプリング時間のそれぞれにおいて、第1の2D複素デジタル信号ベクトルを生成するステップを含み、前記第1の2D複素デジタル信号ベクトルの第1の成分は、前記サンプリング時間のうちの対応するサンプリング時間において受信された変調光キャリアの1つの偏光成分の位相および振幅を表し、そして、前記第1の2D複素デジタル信号ベクトルの第2の成分は、前記サンプリング時間のうちの対応するサンプリング時間において受信された前記キャリアの別の偏光成分の位相および振幅を表すものであり、さらに、
前記サンプリング時間の1つごとに、前記サンプリング時間の前記1つに関する前記第1の2D複素デジタル・ベクトルの回転である第2の2D複素デジタル信号ベクトルを構成するステップを含み、前記回転は、前記変調光キャリアを光送信器と前記光受信器との間で送信することにより生じた偏光回転を補償し、そして、
前の回転によって生成されたベクトルの前記成分の大きさの差に比例する量だけ、前記前の回転の角度を更新することによって、前記回転についての角度を決定するステップとを含む、方法。 - 構成するステップの実施のうち1度の実施の前に、構成するステップの実施のうち前記1度の実施によってより良好な等化振幅をその第1および第2の成分が有する第2の2D複素デジタル信号ベクトルが生成されるように、構成するステップの実施のうち前記1度の実施に関する前記回転の式を更新するステップをさらに含む、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 受信光キャリアの前記1つの偏光成分と、受信光キャリアの前記別の偏光成分とを分離するステップと、
前記分離された1つの偏光成分を、基準光キャリアと、第1対の光混合器内で混合するステップと、
前記分離された別の偏光成分を、前記基準光キャリアと、第2対の光混合器内で混合するステップと、
前記第1対の光混合器から出力された光の強度を、前記サンプリング時間に前記混合するステップに応答してサンプリングすることにより、前記第1の2D複素デジタル信号ベクトルの前記第1の成分を評価するステップと、
前記第2対の光混合器から出力された光の強度を、前記サンプリング時間に前記混合するステップに応答してサンプリングすることにより、前記第1の2D複素デジタル信号ベクトルの前記第2の成分を評価するステップとをさらに含む、請求項6に記載の方法。 - 最終回転の角度に、前記最終回転によって生成されたベクトルの前記成分の大きさの差に比例する補正を付加することによって、次の回転についての角度を決定するステップをさらに含む、請求項6に記載の方法。
