前記配管カバーと前記給湯器とを相互に螺合連結すべく前記配管カバー側に配設された雌ねじ部と、該雌ねじ部の内径よりも長寸な縦幅を有し、かつ、その横方向を長さ方向として前記給湯器側に設けた長円形の連結用孔とを、前記雌ねじ部の中心位置と前記連結用孔の縦幅方向での中心位置とが相互に正対するように合致させた状態のもとで前記配管カバーを前記給湯器側に少なくとも2カ所にて仮止めする工程と、
該仮止め状態のもとで前記外壁面側に前記配管カバーを位置固定する工程と、
前記外壁面側に位置固定された該配管カバーを、前記仮止め状態を解除した上で給湯器の前記連結用孔とは非接触となる外径を有する螺杆を用いて前記雌ねじ部に螺着して前記給湯器側に対し浮かせた状態で位置固定する工程とを少なくとも含むことを特徴とする給湯器用配管カバーの設置方法。
