Description
真空ロール・チャンバ内に、エンボス加工され回折格子またはホログラムを有した光透過基板を配置するステップ;および
真空状態を中断することなく真空チャンバ内で反射性材料を蒸着するために、オイル印画法技術によって、反射体をパターン形成するステップ。
有機コーティングをエンボス加工するステップ;
有機コーティングを硬化するステップ;
エンボス加工された有機コーティング上の反射層をディメタライズ(demetallize)してパターン形成するステップ;および
有機コーティングを完全に硬化するために基板を貫通して硬化し、それによってエンボス加工を行うことができる、比較的柔らかい有機誘電体をもたらすステップ。
誘電体材料のリリース可能な基板ロールを真空チャンバ中に配置するステップ;
真空チャンバ内にある間、誘電体材料をエンボス加工するステップ;および
真空チャンバ内にある間、誘電体材料をコーティングするステップ;ここで誘電体材料をコーティングするステップは、エンボス加工するステップの前に実施してもよい。
真空ロール・コータ内に基板を配置するステップ;
基板をエンボス加工するステップ;
基板上の吸収体を蒸着するステップ;
吸収体層上に有機層を堆積するステップ;
真空ロール・コータ内で有機層上に反射体をパターン形成するステップ;および
真空状態を中断することなく、(b)から(e)を実施するステップ。
1)プラスチック・フィルム(例えばPETタイプG)→エンボス加工→ウェブの全幅にわたるアルミニウム処理→ホログラムまたは回折ラベル
2)プラスチック・フィルム・プラス・リリース樹脂→エンボス加工→ウェブの全幅にわたるアルミニウム処理→ホット・スタンプ浮彫り反射ホログラム、またはシンボルのある/ない回折薄片の生成
3)プラスチック・フィルム→アクリルへのUV→硬化→アルミニウム処理→エンボス加工→ホログラムまたは回折ラベル
4)プラスチック・フィルム→アクリルへのUV→部分的硬化→パターンでのアルミニウム処理→エンボス加工→全硬化→吸収体層の蒸着→誘電体層の堆積→反射体層の堆積→ディメタライズド・ラベルChromagram(注;エンボス加工は、アルミニウム領域またはアルミニウムを横切る領域、および非アルミニウム領域と見当合わせすることができる)
5)リリース樹脂を有したプラスチック・フィルム→パターンでのアルミニウム処理→エンボス加工→吸収体層の堆積→誘電体層の堆積→反射体層の堆積→ホット・スタンプ・ディメタライズドChromagram
6)リリース樹脂を有したプラスチック・フィルム→吸収体の堆積→アクリルへのUV→反射体の堆積→反射体の堆積→ホット・スタンプ・ディメタライズドChromagram
7)プラスチック・フィルム→吸収体の堆積→アクリルへのUV→反射体の堆積→反射体の堆積→ラベル非ディメタライズドChromagram
エンボス加工は、様々な異なる方法で実施することができる。シム(shim)は、ポリマをシム輪郭中に流入させるのに十分な圧力をかけて、ポリマに圧入することができる。これは、熱を加えてポリマを軟化させた場合、より容易になる。あるいは、融点がより低いポリマを使用することができ、極端なケース、すなわち、硬化が施され、その間、液状単量体が、シムの輪郭の形になり、ポリマを凝固させるケースでも、液状単量体を使用することができる。
ここで図15を参照すると、連続ロール上への単量体負荷を減少し、冷却された堆積ドラム157によって支持されたウェブ155上に好ましい量の単量体を堆積する方法として、異なる直径のもの、および/または様々な速度で回転するものとすることができる、一連のロール151a〜151fが使用される。冷却されたロール151a〜151fを使用すると、そうでなければ高すぎる恐れがある蒸気圧を有した、いくつかのポリマの使用が可能になる。代替実施形態として、液体のバスから単量体を取り出し、各ロール上の単量体厚さを所望の薄さまで連続して減少する手段として、印刷型ローラ列を使用することである。

Claims (17)
- 多層薄膜フィルタであって、有機誘電体層をその中に有し、それが前記フィルタの複数の領域に及び、前記誘電体層がエンボス加工されて、均一の厚さの前記複数の領域を画定し、第1の領域が前記第1の領域に隣接した第2の領域の均一の厚さとは異なる均一な厚さを有し、前記第1の領域のサイズは、前記第1の領域の色が均一であって、前記第2の領域の均一な色とは異なる色として人の目には見ることができないようなサイズであり、かつ前記第1の領域内の前記色が少なくとも10:1の倍率で見ることができる、多層薄膜フィルタ。
- 前記多層の1つが、前記エンボス加工された有機誘電体層より厚さが均一な吸収体層である、請求項1に記載の多層薄膜フィルタ。
- 前記多層の1つが、前記エンボス加工された有機誘電体層より厚さが均一な反射体層である、請求項2に記載の多層薄膜フィルタ。
- 前記反射体層が、前記吸収体層より厚さがより均一である、請求項3に記載の多層薄膜フィルタ。
- 色差が、少なくとも100倍の倍率で見ることができ、色差が、10倍、またはそれより小さい倍率では知覚できない、請求項1に記載の多層薄膜フィルタ。
- 他の隣接した領域と異なる厚さを有するエンボス加工された誘電体層の領域が、その中に回折格子を有してエンボス加工され、前記エンボス加工された領域の平均厚さが、隣接した領域の厚さと異なる、請求項1に記載の多層薄膜フィルタ。
- 前記エンボス加工された領域が、回折効果および色シフト効果をもたらし、前記隣接した領域が、色シフト効果だけをもたらす、請求項6に記載の多層薄膜フィルタ。
- 前記薄膜フィルタが、Chromagramである、請求項7に記載の多層薄膜フィルタ。
- 前記フィルタが、顔料薄片を有し、前記エンボス加工された領域の1つが、隠しセキュリティ形体を生成する、請求項1に記載の多層薄膜フィルタ。
- 前記隠しセキュリティ形体が、証印の形である、請求項9に記載の多層薄膜フィルタ。
- 前記複数の異なる色の領域が、拡大することによってのみ識別できる隠し色コードを画定する、請求項1に記載の多層薄膜フィルタ。
- 前記エンボス加工された誘電体層の領域が、隣接した領域中の非正弦波の彫り込みを有し、前記彫り込みが、平坦な底部を有したキャビティを形成し、前記キャビティが、目の分解能より小さい、請求項1に記載の多層薄膜フィルタ。
- キャビティが、正方形、四角形、円形または三角形である、請求項12に記載の多層薄膜フィルタ。
- 前記吸収体層および前記反射体層が、エンボス加工されず、実質的に均一な厚さを有する、請求項1に記載の多層薄膜フィルタ。
- 前記反射体層が、エンボス加工されて、拡大することによってのみ識別できる隠しセキュリティ情報を提供する、請求項1に記載の多層薄膜フィルタ。
- 前記吸収体層が、エンボス加工されて、拡大することによってのみ識別できる隠しセキュリティ情報を提供する、請求項1に記載の多層薄膜フィルタ。
- 前記複数の異なる色の領域が、少なくとも10のΔE値だけ互いに、それらの色が異なる、請求項1に記載の多層薄膜フィルタ。
