Claims (4)
- ガスを流通させる連通孔部が形成された電気伝導性発熱体、及び、該電気伝導性発熱体へ通電するための電極を備え、通電による前記電気伝導性発熱体の発熱によって前記連通孔部を流通するガスを加熱する加熱部と、
揮発性有機化合物の酸化分解温度を低下させる触媒体を備え、前記加熱部よりガス流通の下流側に設けられ前記加熱部で加熱されたガスに含まれる揮発性有機化合物を酸化分解させる触媒部とを具備し、
前記加熱部は、前記電極と前記電気伝導性発熱体の外表面との間に介在させたスチールウール層を備え、
前記電気伝導性発熱体は、多孔質の電気伝導性セラミックスで構成され、単一の方向に延びて列設された複数の隔壁により区画された複数のセルを備えたハニカム構造体であり、前記セル及び多孔質の前記隔壁中の連続気孔が前記連通孔部に相当し、多孔質の前記隔壁に触媒を担持していない
ことを特徴とする揮発性有機化合物処理装置。 - 前記加熱部は、前記電極を前記電気伝導性発熱体に圧着させる方向に付勢するバネ部材を備える
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の揮発性有機化合物処理装置。 - 前記加熱部は、前記電気伝導性発熱体よりガス流通の上流側に設けられてガスの流路を分散させるガス流路分散部材を備える
ことを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の揮発性有機化合物処理装置。 - 前記電気伝導性発熱体は複数個が設けられ、その内の二以上は電気的に直列接続されている
ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項3の何れか一つに記載の揮発性有機化合物処理装置。
