(1)道路を照明する灯具と、該灯具を支持する鋼管柱とを有する鋼管ポールであって、前記鋼管柱の下部の外周に開口部を有し、該開口部の端部は鋼管柱の内側にV字状に折り曲げられて、横断面の左右対称な位置に、鋼管柱の内側方向で開口部に対して垂直方向に連続して突出させた互いに平行なリブからなる補強部材であって、その幅Wは鋼管柱の外形Dの0.1〜0.3倍で、板厚は鋼管柱と等しい補強部材を形成したことを特徴とする鋼管ポール。
(2)前記開口部に、着脱自在の蓋を設け、該蓋の外周面は、前記鋼管柱の外周面と段差がなく連続していることを特徴とする(1)に記載の鋼管ポール。
(3)(1)または(2)に記載の鋼管ポールの製造方法であって、鋼管柱の下部の外周に開口部を下穴加工した後、該開口部の端部をプレス加工により折り曲げて鋼管柱の内側方向に連続して突出させたリブからなる補強部材を形成することを特徴とする鋼管ポールの製造方法。
