Description
この方法によれば、用具材料をアルカリ性溶液に浸漬することで、リン酸溶液に接触した際、用具材料の表面に多量のリン酸カルシウムが析出する。これにより、用具材料は、硬組織と迅速に接合できたり、骨を迅速に形成できたりする。
ジルコニウム、ジルコニウム化合物、及びジルコニウム合金からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1種で表面が形成された導電性材料体に、有効量の過酸化水素を含有する電解質水溶液の中でカソード分極処理を行う手順を有する製造方法。
O2+2H2O+4e−→4OH−
2H2O+2e−→H2→2OH−
しかし、副産物として水素ガスが発生し、この水素ガスが導電性材料体内に侵入して導電性材料を脆弱化したり、分極が阻害されたり、対流現象によって導電性材料体の表面近傍のアルカリ性条件が損なわれたりすることが懸念される。
そこで、(1)の発明によれば、電解質水溶液に有効量の過酸化水素を含有させたので、次の反応で水素ガスが消費される。
H2+H2O2→2H2O
しかも、次の反応によって、アルカリ化が促進される。
H2O2+2e−→2OH−
HO2 −+H2O+2e−→3OH−
このため、硬組織接触具用材は、生体内に埋入されると、多量のリン酸カルシウムが表面に析出し、機能性を充分に付与できる。
また、カソード分極処理によれば、従来のアルカリ処理法に比べて格段に短い時間で上記の機能性が得られるので、表面処理効率を大幅に向上できる。
そこで(2)の発明によれば、電解質として硫酸塩を採用したので、カソード分極処理時における導電性材料体の腐食が抑制される。よって、より強固な硬組織接触具用材を製造できる。
また、カソード分極処理によれば、従来のアルカリ処理法に比べて格段に短い時間で上記の機能性が得られるので、表面処理効率を大幅に向上できる。

また、副産物として生じる水素ガスは、次の反応で、過酸化水素によって消費される。
H2+H2O2→2H2O
しかも、次の反応によって、アルカリ化が促進される。
H2O2+2e−→2OH−
HO2 −+H2O+2e−→3OH−
これにより、水素ガスが導電性材料体内に侵入して導電性材料を脆弱化したり、分極が阻害されたり、対流現象によって導電性材料体の表面近傍のアルカリ性条件が損なわれたりする事態が回避される。
まず、純度99.6%のジルコニウム製の円柱状体(直径8mm)を2mm間隔で軸方向に切断し、切断面を研磨粒度#320〜#800の研磨紙で研磨した後、粒径9μmのダイヤモンドペースト、続いて粒径3μmのダイヤモンドペースト、最終仕上げとして0.04μmのシリカペーストで研磨することで、導電性材料体の表面を鏡面研磨した。
カソード分極処理を行わなかった点を除き、実施例と同様の手順で、硬組織接触具用材を作製した。
電解質溶液に過酸化水素を含有させなかった点を除き、実施例と同様の手順で、硬組織接触具用材を作製した。
擬似的な生体内環境を作成するため、実施例及び比較例1〜2で作製した硬組織接触具用材の各々をHanks溶液中に浸漬し、1週間に亘って放置した。なお、浸漬開始3日後に、溶液を新たなHanks溶液に交換した。
Claims (4)
- 硬組織接触具用材の製造方法であって、
ジルコニウム、ジルコニウム化合物、及びジルコニウム合金からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1種で表面が形成された導電性材料体に、有効量の過酸化水素を含有する電解質水溶液の中でカソード分極処理を行うことで前記導電性材料体の表面近傍をアルカリ性化する手順を有する製造方法。 - 前記電解質水溶液は、硫酸塩含有水溶液である請求項1記載の製造方法。
- 請求項1又は2記載の製造方法によって製造される硬組織接触具用材で形成された硬組織接触具。
- ジルコニウム、ジルコニウム化合物、及びジルコニウム合金からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも1種からなる表面に、有効量の過酸化水素を含有する電解質水溶液の中でカソード分極処理を施すことで前記表面の近傍をアルカリ性化し、生体内環境下での前記表面へのリン酸カルシウムの析出を促進する方法。
