Description
本実施形態の扁平形リチウム二次電池20は、図1に示すように、直方体状でアルミニウム合金製の電池缶(電池容器の一部)11を有している。電池缶11の内部には、捲回群1が収容されている。
リチウム二次電池20は、正負極合剤を調製し正負極板を作製する準備工程と、捲回装置に捲芯4を装着し正負極板をセパレータを介して捲回する捲回工程と、捲回群1を電池缶11に収容しリチウム二次電池20を完成する組み立て工程とで製造される。以下、工程順に説明する。
参考例1、参考例2、実施例3〜実施例6では、下表1に示すように、捲芯4に掛ける捲回軸方向Tの張力の大きさ(以下、捲芯張力と呼称する。)を変化させてリチウム二次電池20を作製した。捲芯張力は、それぞれ、参考例1では10N、参考例2では20N、実施例3では30N、実施例4では50N、実施例5では70N、実施例6では100Nに設定した。
比較例では、実施例3と同様にして捲回群を作製した後、捲芯を抜き取ってからリチウム二次電池を作製した。
各実施例、参考例および比較例のリチウム二次電池をそれぞれ50個ずつ作製して、それぞれ満充電状態まで充電した。各実施例、参考例および比較例のリチウム二次電池について、振動試験機(エミック株式会社製、F1400BDH/LA−E型)を用いて、10G・100時間の振動試験を行い、振動試験時の短絡発生率、発煙発生率および発火発生率を測定した。各測定結果を表1に合わせて示す。各発生率は、それぞれ、実施例、参考例および比較例のリチウム二次電池50個に対する短絡、発煙および発火の割合を表す。
次に、本実施形態のリチウム二次電池20の作用等について説明する。

Claims (4)
- 正極板、負極板およびセパレータにそれぞれ張力を掛けるとともに、板状で不導体の捲芯に捲回軸方向の張力を掛けながら前記捲芯に前記正極板と前記負極板とを前記セパレータを介して扁平状に捲回した捲回群と、
前記捲回群を浸潤する電解液と、
前記捲回群と前記電解液とを収容する電池容器と、
を備え、
前記捲芯に掛けられる張力の大きさは、前記正負極板および前記セパレータにそれぞれ掛けられる張力の合計以上であることを特徴とする捲回式二次電池。 - 前記捲芯は、捲回軸方向両端部に捲回装置に装着するための被装着部が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の捲回式二次電池。
- 請求項1または請求項2に記載の捲回式二次電池の製造方法であって、
捲回装置に板状で不導体の捲芯を装着する装着ステップと、
前記正負極板および前記セパレータにそれぞれ張力を掛けるとともに、前記捲芯に捲回軸方向の張力を掛けながら該捲芯に前記正極板と負極板とを前記セパレータを介して扁平状に捲回する捲回ステップと、
を含み、
前記捲回ステップでは、前記捲芯に掛ける張力の大きさを、前記正負極板および前記セパレータにそれぞれ掛ける張力の合計以上とすることを特徴とする製造方法。 - 前記装着ステップでは、前記捲芯の捲回軸方向両端部に形成された被装着部と、前記捲回装置に設けられた装着部とを当接させ装着することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の製造方法。
