Description

本発明は、AATおよび酸化ストレス、プログラム細胞死、または炎症過程に関連する他の考えられる難聴の原因によって生じる、感音難聴の治療方法を提供する。SNHLの他の原因の例は、加齢に伴う難聴すなわち老人性難聴、毒物による難聴、外傷による難聴、難聴を引き起こすウイルス感染または細菌感染、未成熟による難聴、蝸牛虚血による難聴、先天性難聴、遺伝的難聴、メニエール病、突発性難聴、および甲状腺疾患または糖尿病に関連する難聴を含むが、それらに限定されない。本発明は、AATの治療において、フェニルブチルニトロン(PBN)のようなフリーラジカル捕捉剤、エダラボン、レスベラトロール、エブセレンおよび鉄キレート剤などのフリーラジカル消去剤として機能する化合物、ならびにN-アセチルシステイン(NAC)、アセチル-L-カルニチン(ALCAR)、グルタチオンモノエチルエステル、エブセレン、D-メチオニンおよびカルバマチオンを含むがそれらに限定されない抗酸化化合物群由来の化合物の機能性を実証する。
Claims (21)
- 感音難聴を治療するための医薬品を調製するための、
4-ヒドロキシ-α-フェニルブチルニトロンを含む第一成分と、
N-アセチルシステインを含む第二成分
とを含有する組成物の使用。 - 前記組成物が、5 mg/kg〜150 mg/kgの4-ヒドロキシ-α-フェニルブチルニトロンおよび5 mg/kg〜300 mg/kgのN-アセチルシステインを含有する、請求項1に記載の使用。
- 前記組成物が急性音響外傷を治療するために使用される、請求項1または2に記載の使用。
- 前記組成物が急性音響外傷事象の4時間以内に最初に投与される、請求項3に記載の使用。
- 前記組成物が24時間内に2回さらに送達される、請求項4に記載の使用。
- 前記組成物が毎日経口送達されるように製剤化される、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の使用。
- 感音難聴を治療するための医薬品を調製するための、

- 急性音響外傷を治療するために使用される、請求項13〜17のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
- 急性音響外傷事象の4時間以内に最初に投与される、請求項18に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物が24時間内に2回さらに送達される、請求項19に記載の組成物。
- 毎日経口送達されるように製剤化される、請求項13〜20のいずれか1項に記載の組成物。
