Description

Claims (17)
- ネットワークデバイスの物理的な位置を決定する方法であって、
物理的な位置を有し、前記ネットワークデバイスに電力を供給するために前記ネットワークデバイスに接続される配電デバイスにおいて、電力の変化を検出し、
前記配電デバイスの物理的な位置に基づいて前記ネットワークデバイスの物理的な位置を決定することを含み、
前記ネットワークデバイスの物理的な位置を決定することは、電力の変化と前記ネットワークデバイスの利用の変化とを比較することを含む、方法。 - 電力の変化を検出することに先立って、イベントの発生を待つことをさらに備える、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記イベントは、前記ネットワークデバイスに電力消費を変化させるように指示することを含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記ネットワークデバイスに電力消費を変化させるように指示することは、予め定められた時間に前記ネットワークデバイスでの電力消費を変化させることを含む、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記イベントは、前記ネットワークデバイスの設置を含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記イベントは、前記ネットワークデバイスの取り換えを含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記ネットワークデバイスに電力消費を変化させるように指示することは、前記ネットワークデバイスに電力消費を低減させるように指示することを含む、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記ネットワークデバイスに電力消費を変化させるように指示することは、ネットワークを介して前記ネットワークデバイスにアクセスすることを含む、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記ネットワークデバイスに電力消費を変化させるように指示することは、前記ネットワークデバイスに電力消費を増大させるように指示することを含む、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記ネットワークデバイスの物理的な位置を前記配電デバイスの物理的な位置に関連付けることをさらに備える、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 画像ディスプレイを用いることにより、前記ネットワークデバイスの物理的な状況を示す図柄を表示することをさらに備える、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記配電デバイスと前記配電デバイスに関連付けられたネットワークデバイスとの図柄を表示することをさらに備える、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ネットワークデバイスは、第1の電力供給のための第1の入力手段と第2の電力のための第2の入力手段とを有する変換スイッチを含み、
前記方法は、
前記第1の電力供給を供給する配電デバイスを識別することと、
前記第2の電力供給を供給する配電デバイスを識別することとをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - コンピュータ読取可能な信号を格納するコンピュータ読取可能な媒体であって、
前記信号は、プロセッサに実行される結果として、前記プロセッサに請求項1に記載の方法を実行するように指示する指令を定義する、媒体。 - ネットワークデバイスの物理的な位置を検出するためのシステムであって、
ネットワークデバイス情報を受け取るように配置され構成される少なくとも1つの入力手段と、
物理的な位置を有し、前記ネットワークデバイスに接続される配電デバイスにおける電力の変化を検出するように配置され構成され、さらに、前記ネットワークデバイスの物理的な位置を決定するように配置され構成される少なくとも1つのコントローラと、
前記ネットワークデバイスの物理的な位置の図柄を表示するように配置され構成される少なくとも1つの出力手段とを備え、
前記ネットワークデバイスの物理的な位置を決定することは、電力の変化と前記ネットワークデバイスの利用の変化とを比較することを含む、システム。 - 前記少なくとも1つのコントローラは、さらに、少なくとも1つのネットワークデバイスに電力消費を変化させるように指示するように配置され構成される、請求項15に記載のシステム。
- コンピュータに、請求項1〜13のいずれか1項に記載の方法を実行させるための、プログラム。
