Description
前記ビーム分割装置は、
一対の透明基板と、
前記一対の透明基板間に封入された液晶と、を備え、
前記一対の透明基板のそれぞれに複数の電極が設けられ、前記一対の透明基板の一方に設けられた複数の電極と他方に設けられた複数の電極とが互いに直交しており、
該複数の電極のそれぞれに所定の時間間隔で電圧を印加し、該各電極に印加される電圧の値をそれぞれ前記所定の時間間隔でランダムに変化させることにより、前記液晶を透過する光を前記複数のセグメントに分割して各セグメントの光の位相を時間的にランダムに変化させ、かつ、
前記複数の電極に印加される電圧の波形の位相が互いにずれていることを特徴とする。
以下、より具体的な構成を図面を用いて説明する。
30-31:ダイクロイック・プリズム、40:ビーム分割装置、50:MEMSミラー、
90-92:レーザ・ビーム、100:スクリーン、401-425:分割するセグメント、
430-431:ビーム分割装置の透明基板、432:液晶、441-450:電極
Claims (4)
- コヒーレント光を光源とするプロジェクタにおいて、
コヒーレント光を出射する1つ以上のコヒーレント光源と、
前記コヒーレント光源から得られるビームの方向を変化させるビーム走査手段と、
前記ビーム走査手段と前記コヒーレント光源の光路間に、前記ビームを複数のセグメントに分割し、分割された各セグメントの光の位相を、それぞれ時間的にランダムに変化させるビーム分割装置とを備え、
前記ビーム分割装置は、
一対の透明基板と、
前記一対の透明基板間に封入された液晶と、を備え、
前記一対の透明基板のそれぞれに複数の電極が設けられ、前記一対の透明基板の一方に設けられた複数の電極と他方に設けられた複数の電極とが互いに直交しており、
該複数の電極のそれぞれに所定の時間間隔で電圧を印加し、該各電極に印加される電圧の値をそれぞれ前記所定の時間間隔でランダムに変化させることにより、前記液晶を透過する光を前記複数のセグメントに分割して各セグメントの光の位相を時間的にランダムに変化させ、かつ、
前記複数の電極に印加される電圧の波形の位相が互いにずれている
ことを特徴とするプロジェクタ。 - 請求項1に記載のプロジェクタにおいて、
前記所定の時間は1フレーム時間であることを特徴とするプロジェクタ。 - 請求項1に記載のプロジェクタにおいて、
前記各電極に印加される電圧は、3値以上の電圧が印加されることを特徴とするプロジェクタ。 - 請求項1に記載のプロジェクタにおいて、
前記ビーム分割装置の液晶は、強誘電性液晶であって、前記所定の時間は前記1フレーム時間より短いことを特徴とするプロジェクタ。
