Description
<電池の全体構成>
図1に示すように、本実施形態の二次電池30は、発電要素群(電極群)11が不図示の非水電解液に浸潤され、角部にR付が施された角形(矩形状)で深絞り法により開口部の短辺寸法よりも深さ寸法を大きくした有底の金属製(本例ではアルミニウム合金製)電池缶20内に収容されている。発電要素群11と電池缶20との間には、両者の電気的接触を防止するために、電池缶20の内のりより若干小さめで樹脂製(本例ではポリプロピレン製)の絶縁ケース21が介在している。なお、二次電池30は、電池缶20および電池蓋1が極性を持たない中性である。
図2および図3に示すように、負極端子部15は、リベット状の接続ピン5、電池蓋1に形成されたピン挿通孔1cにおいて電池蓋1と接続ピン5とで画定される隙間を密封するガスケット2、樹脂製の絶縁部材3、図示しないバスバー(単電池同士を接続する接続部材)を固定するための角頭ボルト6、板状の負極外部端子4で構成されている。
次に、本実施形態の二次電池の組立手順について簡単に説明する。なお、本発明は以下に例示する組立方法に制限されないことは論を待たない。
次に、本実施形態の二次電池30の作用効果等について説明する。

Claims (6)
- 発電要素を収容する有底の金属製電池缶と、
端子導出用の貫通孔が形成され、前記電池缶の開口部を封止する金属製電池蓋と、
貫通孔が形成された板状の外部端子と、貫通孔が形成され、前記電池蓋と前記外部端子とを電気的に絶縁する絶縁部材と、前記発電要素を構成する極板に電気的に接続され、前記電池蓋、前記絶縁部材および前記外部端子にそれぞれ形成された貫通孔にこの順で挿通されたピン状導電部材とを有し、前記電池蓋に設けられた端子部と、
を備え、
前記電池蓋には前記絶縁部材側に突出した第1の突起が形成されており、該第1の突起はこの第1の突起の形成位置に対応して前記絶縁部材に形成された凹部ないし孔部にかしめられて固定されており、
前記貫通孔に挿通された前記導電部材の先端部がかしめられることで、前記導電部材と前記外部端子とが導通するとともに、前記外部端子、前記絶縁部材および前記導電部材が前記電池蓋に固定され、
前記第1の突起の先端部は円筒状または多角形筒状を呈しており、該先端部が前記絶縁部材に形成された凹部ないし孔部で外側に折り曲げられるようにかしめられて前記絶縁部材に固定された、
ことを特徴とする二次電池。 - 前記電池蓋には前記貫通孔と前記第1の突起との間に前記絶縁部材側に突出した第2の突起が形成されており、該第2の突起はこの第2の突起の形成位置に対応して前記絶縁部材に形成された凹部ないし孔部に嵌合していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電池蓋には複数の前記第2の突起が形成されており、前記絶縁部材には前記第2の突起に対応する位置に凹部ないし孔部が形成されたことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の二次電池。
- 前記第2の突起は、前記電池蓋に形成された貫通孔の中心と前記第1の突起の中心とを結ぶ仮想線上から離間した位置に形成されたことを特徴とする請求項2または請求項3に記載の二次電池。
- 前記外部端子は幅方向が縮幅されたくびれ部を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記端子部は、前記電池蓋に形成された貫通孔において、前記電池蓋と前記導電部材とで画定される隙間を密封する絶縁性シール部材をさらに有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
