Description
配合物は、62%の固形分を有する水系エマルションから調製される。各配合物は、バインダー樹脂(Air Productsから入手できるFlexacryl AF−2027)100部、表1に記載した改質用樹脂90部、および水45部を含む。各配合物を#6スピンドルを用いて10rpmで測定される約30,000cpsまで粘度を高める。粘度は、Scott Bader,UKから入手できるTexipol 237を用いて調整する。アンモニアを用いてpHを7と7.5の間まで上げる。
異なる固形分を有する3種類の試料を調製する。これら配合物を、Scott Bader,UKから入手できるTexipol 253で粘度を高める。表4は、モード1、2、および3の共鳴周波数を例示する。
様々な増粘剤を使用して試料を調製する。具体的には試料は、Scott Bader,UKから入手できるTexipol 253、Texipol 237、およびTexipol 258を使用して調製する。試料は、実施例1の試料3に従って調製する。
市販の音響減衰組成物を、実施例1の試料と似た方法で形成された試料と比較して試験する。これら試料は、試験パネルを発泡材上に配置するのでなく吊り下げることを除いては上記試験方法を用いて試験する。2006年から2008年の間の2年間にわたって取得されたQuietGlue(登録商標)配合物の3種類の異なる試料を試験する。QuietGlue(登録商標)は、Quiet Solution of Sunnyvale,Californiaから市販されている。さらにGreen Glue Company of West Fargo,North Dakotaから入手できる2008年8月に取得したGreen Glueを試験する。表8に例示するように市販の各組成物は、0.38以下のモード1減衰パラメータを有する。さらにこれら試料は、低いモード2減衰パラメータおよび低いモード3減衰パラメータを有する。これと比べて実施例1の試料と似た方法で形成された試料は、市販の組成物の減衰パラメータをはるかに上回る少なくとも0.62のモード1減衰パラメータおよび少なくとも0.42のモード2減衰パラメータを示す。具体的には2008年8月時点でのGreen Glue製品に対する減衰パラメータの増加%として定義される減衰性能は、モード1およびモード2に対して少なくとも20%、例えば少なくとも30%、少なくとも40%、またさらには少なくとも50%である。
実施例1の配合#3を使用し、20メッシュサイズ(<841ミクロン)のEPDM粒子を加えて試料を調製する。EPDM粒子は、3重量%、7重量%、11重量%、および16重量%の量を加える。
実施例1の配合#3および40メッシュサイズ(<420ミクロン)のEPDM粒子を使用して音響減衰組成物を形成する。表10に例示するようにモード1減衰パラメータは、小さなサイズのEPDM粒子を使用した場合、実施例4の試料が典型的に示す(量の増加に関して)ものと比べてEPDM粒子の量の増加とともにそれほど顕著には低下しない。
60メッシュ(<250ミクロン)の平均粒径を有するポリブチレン粒子を加えることにより実施例1の配合#3に従って音響減衰組成物を調製する。実施例5および6の試料と比べてモード1減衰パラメータによって表される音響減衰は増大し、表11に例示するように3%の周辺で極大を示す。さらにモード2減衰パラメータもポリブチレン粒子の含有量の増加とともに増大する。
Claims (12)
- カルボン酸官能基を有する付加重合ポリマーを含み、−25℃以下のガラス転移温度を有するバインダー樹脂と、
第一のエラストマー粒子と
を含み、少なくとも0.45のモード1減衰パラメータを有する、音響減衰組成物。 - 前記音響減衰組成物が少なくとも30%の曇り価を有する、請求項1に記載の音響減衰組成物。
- 前記第一のエラストマー粒子が20MPa以下の弾性率を有する、請求項1に記載の音響減衰組成物。
- 前記第一のエラストマー粒子を0.1重量%から50重量%含む、請求項1に記載の音響減衰組成物。
- 前記第一のエラストマー粒子の平均粒径が450μm以下である、請求項1に記載の音響減衰組成物。
- 前記第一のエラストマー粒子がポリオレフィンゴム、ジエンエラストマー、またはシリコンゴムを含む、請求項1に記載の音響減衰組成物。
- カルボン酸官能基を有する付加重合ポリマーを含み、−25℃以下のガラス転移温度を有するバインダー樹脂と、
ポリウレタンと、
第一のエラストマー粒子と
を含み、少なくとも0.45のモード1減衰パラメータを有する、音響減衰組成物。 - 前記第一のエラストマー粒子が20MPa以下の弾性率を有する、請求項7に記載の音響減衰組成物。
- 前記第一のエラストマー粒子を0.1重量%から50重量%含む、請求項7に記載の響減衰組成物。
- 前記第一のエラストマー粒子の平均粒径が850μm以下である、請求項7に記載の音響減衰組成物。
- 前記バインダー樹脂が−40℃以下のガラス転移温度を有する、請求項7に記載の音響減衰組成物。
- 第一および第二硬質パネル、および
前記第一および第二硬質パネル間に配置され、ポリウレタンと、エラストマー粒子と、カルボン酸官能基を有する付加重合ポリマーを含み、−25℃以下のガラス転移温度を有するバインダー樹脂とを含む音響減衰組成物
を含み、前記音響減衰組成物が少なくとも0.45のモード1減衰パラメータを有する、構造用パネル。
