Claims (9)
- 過放電防止機能を備えたバッテリーパックのバランス装置であって、
複数のバッテリーセルを包含するバッテリーパックにおける各々のバッテリーセルの充電電圧をバランシングするものであり、
バッテリーセルの両端と並列で連結された導線上に設けられた放電抵抗と、
一定周波数を持つバランス制御信号が入力される条件でのみチャージをポンピングするチャージポンプと、
有効電圧レベルの駆動電圧が印加されれば、前記バッテリーセルと放電抵抗とを連結してバッテリーセルを放電させる放電スイッチ部と、
前記チャージポンプからポンピングされたチャージを充電するキャパシター、及び前記キャパシターを放電させる抵抗を備え、前記キャパシターに充電された充電電圧を前記放電スイッチ部の駆動電圧として印加する電圧充電部と、及び
バッテリーパックに含まれた複数のバッテリーセルの充電電圧を測定してバランシングを要するバッテリーセルを選定し、選定されたバッテリーセルに連結されたチャージポンプに前記バランス制御信号を印加してチャージポンプを動作させる制御部とを備えてなり、
前記チャージポンプは、前記制御部から前記一定周波数を持つバランス制御信号が印加されたとき、前記電圧充電部の抵抗の放電によるキャパシターの充電電圧の減少速度よりチャージポンピングによるキャパシターの充電電圧の増加速度が速い条件でチャージをポンピングして電圧充電部の充電電圧を前記有効電圧レベル以上に維持させる、過放電防止機能を備えたバッテリーパックのバランス装置。 - 前記バランス制御信号が一定周波数でハイレベル電圧信号とローレベル電圧信号が繰り返されるパルス信号パターンを有するものである、請求項1に記載の過放電防止機能を備えたバッテリーパックのバランス装置。
- 前記チャージポンプへのバランス制御信号が印加される導線上に、チャージポンプ側にノイズが流れ込むことを防止するダイオードをさらに備えてなる、請求項1又は2に記載の過放電防止機能を備えたバッテリーパックのバランス装置。
- 前記チャージポンプへのバランス制御信号が印加される導線上に設けられ、制御部から出力される一定周波数を持つバランス制御信号に従ってハイレベル電圧信号とローレベル電圧信号とをチャージポンプ側に周期的にリレーさせるバランス信号リレー部をさらに備えてなる、請求項1〜3の何れか一項に記載の過放電防止機能を備えたバッテリーパックのバランス装置。
- 前記バランス信号リレー部がフォトカプラである、請求項4に記載の過放電防止機能を備えたバッテリーパックのバランス装置。
- 前記バランス信号リレー部が発光素子及び受光素子を備えてなり、
前記発光素子にはバランス制御信号が印加され、バランス制御信号のハイレベル信号を光信号に選択的に変換し、
前記受光素子がバッテリーセルとチャージポンプとの間に連結され、前記発光素子から光信号が発生すれば、バッテリーセルの充電電圧を一定周波数でチャージポンプ側にリレーさせるものである、請求項4又は5に記載の過放電防止機能を備えたバッテリーパックのバランス装置。 - 前記放電スイッチ部が電界効果トランジスターである、請求項1〜6の何れか一項に記載の過放電防止機能を備えたバッテリーパックのバランス装置。
- 前記電界効果トランジスターのソース端子がバッテリーセルの一端と連結されてなり、
ドレーン端子が放電抵抗を介してバッテリーセルの他端と連結されてなり、
ゲート端子が前記電圧充電部と連結されてなる、請求項7に記載の過放電防止機能を備えたバッテリーパックのバランス装置。 - 前記電界効果トランジスターのソース−ドレーン間の電流の流れが開始される有効電圧レベルが、電圧充電部の充電電圧より小さいものである、請求項7又は8に記載の過放電防止機能を備えたバッテリーパックのバランス装置。
